Excellent exhibition of life during the Roman period and a few centuries after. The excavation of the villa and presentation of its building stages show in a fascinating way how the place adapted to the changing needs of the inhabitants. The roofing tiles with footprints of children and domestic animals were a delightul find, as were the other small finds. I would recommend a combi-ticket for the Roman Villa and the Government Bunker.

Incredible to be able to see a Roman villa. It is nicely laid out and in parts you can even walk inside the ruins.

Bigger than I expected, it cool that you can walk through the ruins (on stairs and platforms) very informative (german and english). We spend about an hour here. If you're around, worth a vistit for sure!

Not a lot to see. I expected more. In other Roman excavations I have visited there were impressive mosaics, but none here. The shop mannequins dressed up as Romans were frankly laughable.

It's a bit difficult to find parking, especially if there's a school on a field trip. The museum with their excavations as well as the exhibited reproductions and explanations is well worth the trip. The staff is very friendly.

The museum it's great, it's one of the most complete Roman ruins in Germany. Great collection, they have the information in many languages, they have a movie, a store and it's near the vineyards, near the Ahrweiler markt station, near Ahrweiler, like 5 minutes walking. It's closed in winter, but if you are near, like Bonn, Brühl, Köln you definitely need to visit the museum.

I love these Roman villas, and this has some aspects you don't see elsewhere, including the small area where the overhead decoration has been partially preserved.
