The main train station of Wuppertal. Very clean and organized construction. Quite well maintained. Has an info office but not open 24h. There are many kiosks and restaurants in the main level and there's an exit directly into the main market square. A big bus stop is also just outside on the upper deck with connections in every direction.

Very lovely on the inside, currently being renovated around the tracks/platforms which was REALLY needed. Toilet was hard to find (tucked away under the stairs in the main hall), some extra signs would be helpful. DB office didn't sell tourist tickets anymore (why?) and the machine only accepted cash, so I needed to get money from the ATM which gave me a 50 euro bill which I had get changed into smaller bills before I could FINALLY buy a 48 hours tourist ticket. Something for the Wuppertal tourist board to think about! Very poor translations to English on the machines too.

The Main train station is very clean and spacious and you get a well connected connection from that station and in front of the station you get to Primark so you can go shopping if you have time.

Nice decent place. Near to the station from where we can go to cologne city. Many options to wait buy and grab something to quench your self or may be treat your hunger. Loved this visit

Coming from America the transportation in Germany is pretty amazing. This is an absolute joy to ride. You really need to be in the last train car to get the best view.

Where the platforms and trains are is not a good sight but where the stores and restaurants are looks artistic/architecturally pleasing. Bought my souvenirs (ref magnet and key chain) here from a bookstore.

Before the renovation, Wuppertal main station only had an elevator to platform #4 and #5. Today the new and shiny station offers more comforts to travelers. You don't have to worry anymore since all platforms now are serviced with elevators. We know how it feels to travel via stations with heavy luggage but no lifts are around. How frustrated the trip would be. Not anymore at Wuppertal main station (of course when the elevators are functioning as they should be). There's also storage room for your luggage, if you wish to do a day visit to the city and try the infamous suspension railway, Schwebebahn. At the station you can find Rewe To Go, some nice bakeries and outside the station you basically find the city's shopping centre -- where you can find everything you need while traveling. The taxi stand is just outside the building, when you go out toward the city centre. From platform #1 you can go directly to the bus station without having to take any lift, just roll your suitcases. Wish you a great journey!

Yes, constructed in the year of 1901, this scenic over the river raiway, has recently been over hauled.. This required over haul took nearly a year back in 2019, with new service cars being added.. Certainly, the overhead railway is unique, though some modern transport countries have similar trains.. The main line "ICE TRAINS', tilting passenger trains, have featured in a World published simulator.. Architecture here is historic, as well as modern, futuristic, clean, bright, spacious, for visitors, tourists.. You can view the 'Unique Wuppertal Overhead Railway System' on the internet, U Tube(c) area films.. Have visited "Wuppertal Animal Zoo", "The Overhead Railway", many other places in the Wuppertal Area.. "WUPPERTAL MAIN LINE CENTRAL ICE STATION"..
