Yeas ago I had the opportunity of dining at the original BP at Courtallam and throughly enjoyed its nattu kozhi (country chicken) curry and parotas. With the same anticipation, we went to the ECR Border Parotta and have to say that it's nattu kozhi curry and parottas are definitely the best you get in Chennai! If you are on the ECR and hungry and in the mood for non-vegetarian food, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Excellent… ambience is good Food was tasting too good… service was bit late… coz the restaurant was crowded… Can definitely stop for a tasty meal at this place Wonderful service by Mr. Pavithran…

Lot needs to be improved. Food quality is not great… service is not too good. Price is also on higher end. Another big turn down is the cleanliness of the place and utensils. Overall not a great experience. With some very good alternate options around… they should improve quickly.

The place came highly recommended but there was a lot left wanting after my experience. The waiters though courteous aren’t focused enough to take your order and deliver on it. A lot of items on the menu were not available - only chicken in non-veg, no soups and today’s special from the board over (even before 8pm!). Place is accessible, right on the highway, has parking and enough seating with a decent outdoor lawn. Quality of food was okay but everything too delayed and the waiter had no clue which of the orders made it to the table and which didn’t. Parottas were supposed to be the USP but nothing special you write about. Won’t recommend as there are better options within a couple of kms.

Don’t fool yourself by going to this place on seeing the name BORDER PAROTTA. You have to see the ECR before the border parotta. Also if you have had parotta in Courtallam Border Parotta, never visit this place. This is no way linked to it. Here you can get unpleasant feelings, non-tasty foods, and poor service all mixed together. The parottas are just like anyother roadside stall. The stuffed parotta was ok. The fried Nattu Koli was had enough and could not be chewable. Hope no one will come again to this place. Definitely, only passerby visitors and no customersI believe.

This is the second time here. During my first visit, we sat in the table for around 30 mins to just wait for someone to take order and even after order we waited for another 30 minutes and then left as there is no one to respond. This time again similar experience, service is very very poor. Took time to give order and then more time to receive the order on table. We ordered mutton briyani but after 30 minutes they said it is not available. Except Chicken 65 and parotta rest are not great. As we just had plain briyani, no clue of the actual briyani taste. If you go here, except atleast 1hour for anything.

This shop really really need to improve by themselves. No proper service .. had paneer fried rice which paneer is so raw that taken more than 25mins for that worst food. And they said poricha parotta in menu but it just crispy coated over parotta… and briyani was like dull tomato rice even tomato rice has good taste but this was so blunt… only worth is chicken kothu parotta…

The taste is decent, price is pocket friendly. But need improvement in service. Very slow delivery of foods to table. Have to say atleast 2-3 times if you need water or sides.
