Hatton is a very popular railway station situated in the upcountry railway line. It is situated in the Hatton town itself, hence easily accessible. The station is equally used by the local community as well as the tourists. The station is comparatively a large one and is equipped with the basic facilities. The station comes into light specially during the Sripada season, as a lot of devotees use the train as a transport medium to reach Hatton and then to Sripada by bus. During the season, CTB buses will be parked just outside the railway station at train arrival times.

The ideal place to get to the Sripada. The station is easily accessible. Trains to Colombo and Badulla stop here. Station is near the town center. Remember to get some vadei from the shop as you come out of the overhead bridge. People are not really helpful especially for seniors to get a seat or to get on to the train.
