Average tasting pizzas despite how good it looks. Garlic knots were literally just soft bread with a hint of garlic and butter.

Staff dude was super friendly and service was fast. I usually have higher expectations from by the slice pizza options but it is also a good way to try a wider range of flavours - will definitely be back to try more.

Always great for a quick bite. Generous slices of pizza with lots of cheese for that hot oozing texture - this spot is consistently good both with quick service and food quality. I don't normally like just cheese pizza (I always want some meat as a topping) but Sal's cheese pizzas are the exception. Before the pandemic it was a nice place to sit, being up the road from the beach and close to the main part of town too. Definitely would recommend this for a quick lunch or snack and once the pandemic passes will definitely enjoy dining in again here.

Had a half which was more than enough for us! Great pizza a bit pricey but worth the money!

This branch isn't as good as the others. The base of the pizza was quite thick compared to what you normally get. We made a largeish phone order (5 pizzas and 15 garlic knots) and the wait time was 50 minutes. Apart from the base, the flavours were similar to the other ones although the sausage was cut the long way around. The knots were soft and tasty but not as garlicky.

Great family friendly place. The young guy on the till was really helpful and friendly for such a young kid he's doing a great job! The food was awesome, easily the best Sal's I've been to, the pizza was so nice and crispy on the bottom and they were generous with the toppings.

Sal's Takapuna's location, in my opinion, is excellent - close to the bus station, within the "happening"strip snd very close proximity to the beach - I can actually see the ripples and swell and hear the waves when I step outside. The branch's interior is very similar to the other branches - equipped withbig television units tuned in to ESPN - a haven for sports enthusiasts. Staffs here are also very courteous and made my dining experience pleasant ♥️

Way over priced for what it is and very slow. Ordered online and got told it’d be 15 minutes, waited 15 minutes, got there and waited for 20 minutes. Garlic knots had a pinch of garlic and they weren’t even cooked all the way through. The pizza was also cold. At least the staff were nice to everyone.

Service was Fantastic! Rufas was friendly and could help with any questions we through his way, pizza team is always awesome there and pizza & zeppolies was super tasty!!

It's been some time since I last ordered Sal's, the only thing I noticed was the toppings have decreased substantially to the point where I would consider the 50 dollar cost to be significantly overvalued. Slices with 1-2 bits of meat on them. Can't say I'd ever order again at this point. Very unfortunate.

Losing its mojo. Friday nights at Sals with the family was a treat, pizza, beer, good buzz about the place - not anymore and the prices are astronomical. Still one of the best pizzas to eat but for half the price you get Hells.

Very disappointed with our experience with Sal's Takapuna. The customer service was atrocious. The front of house demeanor was bored, unwelcoming, took her time to acknowledge us, and extremely casual instead of professional. My wife and I finally were able to go on a date together for the first time in six months. We decided to order from Sal's, which was empty, instead of from Pizza Club because it was quite late and they said a pizza would be ready in about 15 minutes (as opposed to Pizza Club's 35 minutes). I returned 20 minutes later, only to have to wait another 10 minutes, while the front of house staked fridge shelves and then put our garlic knots in the warmer. She even forgot the dipping sauce we ordered, and said "what?" when I asked about it. No apologies or anything. For whatever reason the pizza wasn't even hot when we got it. I'm very disappointed in the service and quality of what we ordered. $50 for pizza and dipping sauce is a premium, not to mention it was meant to be a special occasion. I wouldn't accept this service from Domino's for a $5 pizza, let alone Sal's.

Took 45 minutes to get a pizza when the guy who took my order told me 20 min by the phone. Definitely not coming back

Finally! After only visiting the Queen Street and the K Road branch where sitting down for a meal felt like squeezing into a NYC cab, I found the Sal's Pizza branch at Takapuna which boasted a large comfortable restaurant, complete with outdoor seating and even two large TVs for convenient sports viewing. Staff were friendly and efficient, providing table service after we plonked ourselves down for a late lunch on a rainy Sunday. It was warm and inviting indoors and we stayed for about 45 minutes, enjoying our meal. Meatball pizza was nice and hot with even some stringy cheese action - parmesan cheese, chili flakes, and oregano provided for liberal sprinkling. Pepperoni wheels were also delicious and the regular buffalo wings were just enough for two. Worth it and even worth the drive across the Bridge just for a sit down meal. 5 stars!

They don’t care about their customers, said 20 minutes on the phone and when I got there they said 15 minutes more ( haven’t even started cooking the order). Ended up waiting 42 minutes in total for one pizza . Not even an apology You should be upfront with your customers, everybody’s time is valuable. Sals never again

Amazing store, super clean well kept. Incredible above and beyond service with good staff, super clear communication when taking orders. Speed and quality on the pizzas. Overall an amazing branch of Sals, would highly recommend. 👍🏾👍🏾

Very disappointed. I missed the old chef,this crew now made my favorite pizza overcooked. Order on 11.06.2022 around 6pm.
