My experience at this college was totally and utterly disastrous. There's a boy in my class that always answers the questions before I do. He's so smart. I used to be the smart boy in my intermediate class, my teacher always said I'll go very far in my life, but guess that's all the fame of the past, the glory that I'll never be able to have in my life.

The school that so desperately wants to become a private school and punishes kids for the most moronic reasons, has inconsistent rules and all of the good people in upper management have left leaving only the ones that are on an absolute power trip because they can give 13 year olds detentions. If you have a deep hatred for your child send them here.

This school was a huge disappointment for one reason only. They did not have Mr Murdoch. Mr Murdoch is the greatest teacher of all time and Westlake could have used a teacher of his calibre. Without Mr Murdoch, all schools are terrible. He is my hero.

To be fair a good school however the uniforms are way to expensive, also the toilets definitely need working on. And please fix the schools internet, like it triggers not only the students but many teachers complain as well. And depending on, what teachers u get u might get lucky due to the responsibility of the teachers at the school. But overall I guess u can say the school is strict which is good

Great if your face fits, want to spend a lot of time making up for the schools shortfalls outside of school and be prepared for the school to completely ignore any feedback or observations you have however constructive. Seriously they talk a great game and deliver something quite different.

One of the best schools if not the best school in New Zealand. The uniform is a bit pricey but The education is top quality unless you're in C stream

Very expensive uniform! but love their blazers for the y9s 10s, good teachers and very high standards for academics and sports. However their education fees are more expensive than a normal public school's.

WBHS has been an incredible privilege for our son to attend. His engagement and academic results are in another league now that he's at WBHS. A testament to the calibre and dedication of the leadership and staff!!

Mostly a pretty good school, however they don't really care about their students. I finished here in 2021 and they did a trial of having a "university style" class, with 60 students in one level 3 calculus class. This turned out to be a disaster, as the majority of the students in the class failed. The school claimed that these classes would prepare students better for university, however it is blatantly obvious that the school did this with the sole purpose of saving money, and have no issues with giving their students a sub standard education in order to spend their money elsewhere, like on the $100,000 sculpture outside the school.
