We stepped inside the restaurant without reading the reviews. We had the chicken roti, super fresh made for a very good price. It was very delicious - a rich meal. We had to wait some time until everything was cooked but the chef gave us a drink for free and told us some details about the dishes, how to open coconuts in the traditional way. He was very kind and gave us some cultural insights. Would strongly recommend :)

If I could give more stars, I definitely would!! We found this place because our homestay was just a little past the restaurant. Every time we passed the restaurant, the owner smiled and waved at us. On our last evening in Sigiriya we decided to have dinner at 68.Sigiriya, and what can I say? WE LOVED IT!! The atmosphere was great, you can tell that all the little details at the restaurant are chosen and made with love. The owner and his father have been very friendly, welcoming and interested in us and our country. And on top, the food has been amazing! We ordered the vegetable curries and rice and the vegetable kotthu. Everybody loved it! There’s plenty of vegan/vegetarian options on the menu and the food is freshly prepared. We also really enjoyed the freshly made fruit juices. Definitely a place to recommend with its very kind and obliging owners!

We watched the owner prepared the pol sambol from a whole coconut. The dinner was super delicious! We feel very regretful that we didn’t take the cooking class here because we didn’t get enough time. The owner was so friendly and sincere. He was probably one of the best persons we met in Sri Lanka.

Amazing local food. Thank you for the curry, we discovered new flavours and ! The owner and workers are very nice. They lopened recently and put a lot of efforts in providing a perfect service.

Amazing dinner at 68.Sigiriya. The food was absolutely amazing, but the best thing was undoubtedly the lovely family who run this place. They talked us through the dishes, answered all our questions, and even gave us some fresh coconut water - can 100% recommend, you won’t regret it!!

What a nice encounter! Went for dinner and were told we have to wait as there were not many tourists around so they’d have to get food and cook it. We ordered a rice & curry and they cooked everything fresh and according to ayurvedic principles. The food was amazing so that I forgot to take the pre dinner picture 🙈😋 we had a nice conversation with the owner and got served fresh fruit on the house too. Excellent experience 👏🏻

We had amazing veg curries & paratha in a really scenic, peaceful setting. The people who run it are very kind and welcoming - we were in a hurry and only sad we couldn’t stay to chat longer. If we had another day, we would have done a cooking class to learn how to make food like this 😊

The best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. This is the place to go to! the owner talked us through how our meal was going to be prepared and the origins of all the ingredients. He kindly went above and beyond, and the food was delicious! He had a passion for cooking and hospitality and this is genuinely an experience I will never forget. Thank you!
