The food was great! One of the best steaks I ever had. There is a lovely fireplace to fight the winter cold and add to the atmosphere. Complements to the chef!

A delightful little spot with a nice atmosphere and good food. Particularly kid and family friendly. Cats are a major theme and if you're lucky you may even get to meet the local residents. Probably the best food I have had in Clarens.

Clarens is not a place short of dining options, but Clementines comes highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. Peanutbutter icecream is a must-have pudding, and everything else is tasty. Eat it outside on the terrace and enjoy the views!

Coming to Clarens for the first time I had high expectations of Clementines as I've red and heard a lot about this restaurant... This place did not disappoint!! Even with my high expectations they still managed to amaze me. From the moment we made our booking everything was handled very professionally. The staff was so friendly, the atmosphere made us feel all warm and fuzzy; right at home. The fire crackling in the background was an extra bonus and the food was probably the best tasting food I've ever had. Clementines within itself is a winning recipe and I wish the owner(s) all the best as that is what they deserve. Amazing, amazing place. Would definitely recommend 1000 times over.

As my followers and viewers know I eat out a lot and LOVE good food but service and atmosphere are also important. This restaurant ticks all the boxes. Absolutely amazing in all aspects. A must do when in Clarens.

This place came highly recommended - and we're really happy that we made a booking. Lunch was superb, and the venue a delight. Prices were also surprisingly affordable, considering the generous portions and excellent tastes. Ample parking outside, despite the town being really busy on a weekend. Shelley was an absolute pleasure to deal with, from the online booking to the warmest welcome when we arrived. Just loved this venue!

Lovely classy restaurant which I suppose is the best in Clarens. Beautiful setup inside with a couple of warm fireplaces on this chilly day. We had the camembert and fig starter. Mains was Confit duck legs and baked chicken pasta. Bolognaise from the kiddies menu. The gluwyn was an interesting drink with caramel ice cream in phyllo for dessert. Service was great. Overall no complaints.

Very pleasant meal, food ordered and arrived as ordered. Tasty veg potatoes great. Rump steak tasty and as ordered , not tough ; chicken pot pie too salty for me but daughter loved it , warming and yummy. On a low sodium diet and still had a decent choice. Worth going to .

We had the nicest basil pesto fettuccini and fillet and Guinness pie topped with cheesy potato mash at this classy restaurant. We also got to meet their famous kitty.

If you want to go on a romantic dinner for two, or even a cosy family meal, this place will not disappoint! Great service, delicious food and a warm ambience. We had a lamb shank, oxtail and a cambert cranberry steak - divine! Must book prior - can sometimes book on the day too. Price range per meal between R120 and R230 (variable).

Lovely building with a lot of special features. Food was great. The specials on a travelling blackboard was a great touch. Service was prompt and the staff were very friendly.

We went for dinner. The food was average. The lamb shank was great. The peanutbutter ice cream was phenomenal! We were seated in the bar area so the ambience wasn't great, but I presume it's because we didn't book in advance. The service was slow but not unfriendly.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food and very kind staff. They will always go the extra mile and helped me in planning a surprise anniversary dinner for my girlfriend’s grandparents’ 60th anniversary. They decorated the table and provided them with an amazing time. Very grateful to the staff and managers.

THE restaurant to go to in Clarens for the best food and most amazing service. Bookings are encouraged, especially on weekends. They have a great menu and wine selection, and they also have a great Gin selection. The food is incredible, look out for the specials. Service is friendly and efficient. 100% recommended, we will be back every time we visit this amazing little village.

The atmosphere is Devine, outside & inside fining atmosphere is polar opposite. The food was well cooked. However, can benefit greatly from small adjustments such as the duck confit ( the sauce can be in a separate jug as you get crispy skin on the edges but the sauce is poured over the crispy cooked skin making it chewy and ruins the efforts of the crispy factor . The green salad was just a pile of lettuce with a bit of peas and cucumber with some avocado. The drinks were good. our waiter Alina was friendly and attentive.

Dining at Clementines was an absolute delight. We arrived at 19:10, just 50 minutes before their 20:00 closing time. The host promptly seated us and handed us menus along with the blackboard specials, which offered an extensive selection. After much contemplation, we settled on the chicken pot pie and the chicken schnitzel. To our delight, the dishes arrived in less than 30 minutes, and they were nothing short of amazing. The flavors were well-balanced, the seasoning was perfect, and the cooking was impeccable. The staff was attentive, especially our waiter, who anticipated our needs and ensured our table was cleared promptly. She engaged us with thoughtful questions, making sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. The atmosphere at Clementines was peaceful and inviting, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Clementines restaurant has been a firm favorite of ours for many years. We have been there as a couple, with family, friends and even a group.They are consistent in service, ambience and especially food. We dined here on Christmas eve and they did not fail to deliver. Even though it states on the menu they prefer their steak to be ordered rare or medium as they can't guarantee the juiciness etc when ordering well-done, I am one of those people who do like mine almost well-done. I ordered the Special topped with caramelized onions and camembert and it was perfect! It was slightly pink on he inside yet still soft and juicy! What a delight. My husband had the oxtail and highly recommended it. From the starters to the sweets it was just right. Service was fast and friendly as always and the restaurant clean, ambience perfect for Christmas eve. We have had many different dishes over he years and I can honestly say we have never been disappointed! Thanks Shelley and staff for your great food and service!
