what a great place, a lovely room, so tastefully decorated and spacious, beautiful bathroom as well. The cook (Washington) prepared a delicious meal and the bed is so comfortable. well done, die Olyfhuis, a great example of south african hospitality and service.

We moved down to Franschhoek from Johannesburg in the beginning of July and made it a 3 day road trip. Our first stop over was this lovely and quaint Bed and Breakfast. The cottage is tastefully furnished, the bed was so comfortable, especially after a 7hr drive, the electric blankets were so cosy and the breakfast the next day was delicious. We met the owners at breakfast and got a little bit of history of the place which was a bonus. All our needs were comfortably met. And they are PET FRIENDLY >> super bonus!

Nice spot to chill an relax. Probably best spot for 100 kms around. If you're somewhere near Barkly West in the Northern Cape this is an ideal spot just 5 kms outside of the town to take in the beauty of the nature around here.

Rooms are massive with plenty character? Food great. Really a peaceful area. Staff were great too. Restaurant also unique. Impressed? Thanks for the great experience.

Extremely beautiful place located just outside the town. It is safe to stay at and you won't have any problems if you are traveling with a trailer as there is more than enough space to park. The guest house is located on a farm and there are several animals present on the farm. There are also walking and bike trails available.
