It is a beautiful place for birds. In winter, thousands of migratory birds arrives to this sanctuary.

One of the best places to visit if one is visiting the historic city of Sivasagar. This unique bird century is a hub of local as well as migratory birds. The migratory birds reaches the sanctuary during October and stays there until may April to complete the full cycle. If one is visiting they should definitely take binoculars with them and also should bring packaged food as nothing much has to be offered in the sanctuary. Poorly enough the sanctuary is not well maintained. Nor the roads to the sanctuary is completed till now. No restroom for the visitors have been constructed. No parking lot of structure. The government is not doing enough to encourage this nature's hub.
