Santola ... if you like crab this is a place for you. They can provide other dishes but the reason for coming here is to eat the house' specialty: crab. A humble place located on the first floor of a building in the middle of the busy small town of Neves. Service is a bit slow but then the rule is "leve leve". A nice cold white wine or a good beer and equipped with you wooden hammer and board you can make you way to enjoy the "santola".

Amazing Experience! The crabs are amazing as is the service. A must for crab and beer lovers. Go to the lagoa azul in the morning, pass the city and see the tunnel, and then come back to eat. Perfect day. Can’t believe the negative reviews that complain it’s in a real local neighborhood… that helped make the experience!! The locals were so nice and very happy to welcome us there. A must if you’re on the northern part of the island.

What an experience at a bargain price. About 10 Euro for a truly authentic local seafood experience that can include your choice of a gigantic steamed crab.. or delicious grilled fish with your choice of sides.. like plantains. If you're lucky you'll also be entertained by local tunes pumped from somewhere across the street as you dine in an open air balcony.

Lovely giant crab subtly spicy. Nice terrace with a view on the typical village. People nice. Price great. This is not a place just for tourists but for all. Must do !

Fish is here very good, prices are reasonable and waiters are relaxed but very helpful. There is no A/C so it might get hot and flies will get on your nerves probably.
