I
got
COVID
on
the
26
Dec
21,
and
on
27
th
Dec
I
called
Ranjita
baidew,
who
so
graciously
offered
all
cooperation
and
assured
me
not
to
worry
at
all.
Thus
placated,
she
sent
the
ambulance
to
pick
me
and
my
wife.
On
reaching
Good
Health
hospital,
4
ward
boys
were
ready
to
recieve
us,
pick
up
our
luggages
with
big
smiles
and
without
any
reservations
of
being
COVID
patients.
Without
hassles,
after
taking
only
our
names
and
age,
we
were
taken
to
our
room
in
the
3rd
floor,
where
a
smiling
Gita
welcomed
us
and
reassured
us
of
all
help
and
cooperation
from
their
side.
No
payment
was
asked
for
at
any
point
of
time
in
my
7
day
stay
there,
unlike
some
other
hospitals
who
keep
pressing
you
for
down
payments
in
hefty
amounts.
Very
soon,
the
doctors
arrived,
jo
kal
and
friendly,
who
first
told
us
to
stop
worrying
and
that
everything
was
going
to
be
alright.
Blood
tests,
ECG
and
X
ray
scanning
was
done
immediately
and
the
results
were
out
by
the
evening,
all
of
which
was
favorable.
The
nurses
were
there
all
the
time
reminding
you
of
your
medicine
intakes
right
on
the
dot,
very
pleasant
and
very
well
mannered,
smiling
faces
all
the
while.
Thank
you
Asha,
Gita
and
the
rest
whose
names
I
never
got.
The
doctors
arrived
punctually
every
day
,
friendly,
without
a
high
n
mighty
attitude,
and
again
did
their
duties
to
perfection,
all
the
while
assuring
us
of
a
positive
recovery.
The
ward
boys
were
decent,
friendly,
very
helpful,
and
every
request
was
never
refused
with
flimsy
excuses.
The
Food
staff
boys
were
a
welcome
sight
all
along,
their
smiling
faces
a
source
of
joy.
The
food
was
good,
nothing
monotonous,
and
the
changing
variety
was
a
treat.
Again,
never
was
payment
demanded
at
any
time,
but
I
paid
some
with
the
help
of
the
gracious
Cash
Counter
staff,
as
payment
of
large
amounts
online
was
not
possible
due
to
the
limits
of
online
transactions.
Raijita
baidew
and
Sanghamitra
baidew
always
kept
enquiring
from
us
of
our
well
being
-
thank
you,
ma'ams,
for
your
care.
Thank
you,
each
and
every
one
of
you,
for
taking
care
of
me,
my
son
and
wife,
through
these
troubled
days,
and
the
good
God
in
heaven
will
surely
bless
you
all
for
this
immense
service
and
sacrifice
that
you
are
doing
every
day.
Lastly,
the
payment
made
at
the
end
was
a
moderate
amount,
not
excessive
as
you
hear
from
other
hospitals.
Probably,
this
will
be
the
only
occassion
where
I
was
sad
to
leave
a
hospital
for
home
!
My
son
and
wife
are
enjoying
their
moments
right
now
in
Good
Health
hospital,
and
I
hope
that
they
will
be
discharged
very
soon.
Once
again,
thank
you
dear
nurses,
doctors,
ward
boys,
cleaning
staff,
and
admin
staff
for
teaching
me
humility
and
opening
my
eyes
to
the
sacrifice
made
by
our
health
workers
in
this
pandemic
times.
