Legendary Bar in the middle of the EPFL Campus. A MUST for all beer lovers. The ambiance is really cool, and the target customer is in general open-minded. Only Cash or Student Card accepted.

Arguably one of the best bars in the Lausanne area. Great selection of very affordable beers in all kinds of styles. Cool ambiance and a good view of the alps when you sit outside on the balcony. It can get a little crowded at times. Also serves drinks and snacks. Check out their website for live concerts or other events!

Satellite has surely the broadest choice of good beers (Actually, very few and only on licensed taps can be deemed at worst "not good", without being even bad) and surely for the cheapest price of all Switzerland. Soft drinks, almost completely locally/Switzerland sourced, are also of a very good quality (And tasty, they did not push to local sourcing at the detriment of good taste). They also offer hot drinks (Coffees/Hot chocolates/Teas) very decently priced. Slightly sad thing, the hot chocolate add-on whipped cream uses unsweetened cream (And I guess no one takes a whipped cream hot chocolate with fitness in mind)... Service is at the bar, seating area offers both tables and chairs or second hand comfy sofas and a large seating area is also available outside. Better check the opening times on their website, as they very often organize events at evenings like plays (Unfortunately all in french), games nights, beer tastings, concerts. Probably not a place to work in (No electrical plugs are available) and can be quite busy (On Tuesday and Fridays mainly).

Love the palce. Couches are a bit run down and its often crowded, which is all natural for a student bar. Good selection of beers. Faire prices.

Pretty cool bar in the center of the EPFL campus. Has a pretty good selection of beers and a nice vibe. Indoor and outdoor areas. Really good prices, as expected for a student dig. Highly recommended. Closes very early though, so make sure to get there ASAP after class. It can get quite busy too, as it's pretty much the only decent place to grab a drink around.

They don’t take any credit/debit cards so come with your student card or cash. Still the save pillars that is part of EPFL!

It's not a place for everyone, but if you are searching for a good beer, and a nice atmosphere, you just found Valhalla
