Coming back here on each visit to Canberra. Reasonably priced very nice, big (13 inch) wood fire pizzas with plenty of toppings. One pizza is enough for 2, unless you are really hungry. Fast and friendly service. Take away or eat there on the outdoor tables. BYO wine or beer, it can also be bought from the bottle shop next door.

Best pizza in Canberra, crispy crust full of flavours. If they say “your pizza will be ready in 20 mins” it WILL be ready in 20! I will 100% recommend this place.

In accordance with all the reviews that I read, I decided to take my wife there because we love pizzas. First of all, the place was filthy, and the pizza we ordered (Supremo) barely cheese, not enough salami and ham .I was not crunchy like we told him. Well, I don't recommend this place for the lovers pizza.

Great traditional and modern wood fired pizzas made fast. Best eaten immediately at the outdoor eating area or tables nearby. Adjacent bottle-o is very convenient.

Loved the pizzas from here. I highly recommend the truffle funghi pizza. The quattro Gusti pizza didn't come with four different types of pizza toppings - instead it only had 2. I didn't mind though. One thing that took us by surprise was that the cappricciosa pizza came with pineapple which was not in the description. Anyways my wife picked off all the pineapple and gave it to me instead. Again I didn't mind. I feel like their mistakes are not considered mistakes in the world of pizzas because their pizzas were so good.

Ordered 2x pizza’s. both the bases were undercooked, could still see the dough and pull the dough apart, this resulted in the pizza being very soggy and wet. 2nd time trying pizza Gusto and probably won’t go back, each time had an undercooked pizza base. Didn’t even get my order right either after ordering over the phone and having to correct the person twice and asking them to repeat the order. The prawns were also little frozen prawns with no taste at all. Sorry to say, but very disappointed.

Delicious authentic woodfire pizza! My personal favourite was the Verde. Close second was the margarita. It's such a great vibe being able to eat out at the courtyard and then get byo drinks from the bottlo next door. Highly reccomend!

Used to rate this place highly. Today unfortunately they made the mistake of dropping there game. Pizzas we're burnt around the edges and slightly undercooked in the middle. Dough was chewy and dry, not enough crispyness. Will give them one more go but if the consistency insnt there I'm on the prowl for a new No1..

Managed to grab a table on a fairly busy Saturday night. Ordered 4 pizzas and were told they’d be ready at 6:40. Bang on 6:40 they were calling our name. Pizzas were fully loaded and by far one of the best pizza shops in town. Dough was well prepared and lots of ingredients added.

These people are absolute geniuses. The only place I eat pizza from in Canberra when I’m not in a cheapskate Dominos mood. Seriously dont bother with anywhere else in Canberra cause it will cost you the same if not more and won’t even be remotely as good (especially Vapianos - avoid that pizza like the plague!). The quality is incredible! A beautiful thin crust that still soft but got a couple crispy wood fired bits which I love, best sauce recipe I’ve ever tasted, on point ratio of cheese to sauce which is soooo important and for some reason so one else can get right & perfect amount of spices/herbs salt and pepper. I trust them complacently - every single time I’ve gone they have been reliable in their taste and quality. Nothing is overpowering about the pizza, all elements work really harmoniously together. It doesn’t leave you feeling bloated or stodgy or like you’ve just done damage to your body. No kidding its a work of art and perfection - all food should be held to this standard, they should be really proud. Also not only is their product the best but the people are so lovely. Ordered a pizza tonight and the girl who I picked up from was a really nice girl who was I shared a couple of remarks with on my way out. And she still called me by name because she remembered from when she gave me my pizza which I was pretty impressed with because it made it more personal and welcoming (its a really small thing to do but made a difference - dont know her name but girl with dark short hair you’re a good asset to your boss :) ) I know its an essay but as a whole can’t go wrong with this place - Seriously bloody legends!

Hands down the best pizza in Canberra! It's so easy to call up and place an order and the wait times are not only accurate but usually quite fast. The flavours are incredible and is definitely a top pick for a restaurant in Canberra. I can't stay away!!

Ordered 3 pizzas, they are all like cheese on bread. Can hardly taste anything. No balance on the toppings and the cheese tastes like a generic shredded pizza blend from a big grocery store. I guess they cater more to the youngs who bomb cheese on everything.

As an Italian this is not a authentic pizza. The pizza was cold, uncooked base, the toppings were disgusting and tasteless. Not REAL Mozzarella cheese. Our pizza wasn't even cut. Never again and VERY DISAPPOINTED 😞 wish I got my money back. There is no gusto about it.

Order via phone to pick up, told us 6pm. We were on time and nothing ready, told 5mins then nothing, asked during this period too, 6.25pm they gave us pizzas with an apology and not even hot. We were waiting there the whole time. Walked across the road to apartment straight away and they were just warm. Disappointed. Reasonable pizza but nothing fancy. Thankful for a microwave.

A friend and I have had the Truffle Funghi several times now and have been delighted every time. We highly recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza and likes to try new things. Greetings go out to Sachin, the best pizza chef in Canberra. See you next week!

The management must have changed because unfortunately it’s not proper Italian pizza anymore. The dough is nice and toppings were generous but the cheese is not proper mozzarella and it was extremely oily as well. Super disappointed and I could barely eat 1/3rd of it. They do have a great updated outdoor area and staff was very friendly!

My go to place for wood fire pizza in Canberra. Quick, easy pick up. Gamberetti is my favourite.

This is for me one of the best pizzas I have had and what makes the experience so unique (for me) is the understated way this pizzeria is presented and operates. This place operates effectively like a take away pizzeria where you order at the counter and then you wait to be called to collect your pizza and then you may choose it eat in one of the outdoor tables (few tables are also available inside, although those tables are quiet busy as they are next to the kitchen) The pizza we ordered was called the Italian Stallion and it was amazing. The base was thin and crispy, straight out off the wood fired oven. Check this place out. Tip: grab a beer from the bottle shop next door and enjoy it with your amazing beer.

We'd had a massive day at the snow and were craving carbs hard. The pizzas are delicious! Cooked in a wood fire oven, didn't take long and so so good!!

  • 5/5 Jac S. 2 years ago on Google
The pizza is great. Very friendly staff. One criticism: when ordering by phone they've gotten the cheese free vegan wrong for us at least three time. We want exactly the version that's on the menu! Nothing custom.

Hit these guys up a little late with most other places already shut on a Monday night. Really prompt service, delicious pizza with prawn. It's good fast food.

Amazing pizza. I had the prawn pizza. Was visiting from Sydney and tried it out. The pizza was juicy and was pretty big. The fried chicken was tender and yummy as well.

Good fire wood pizzas but generally long wait times when it's peak meal times

  • 4/5 Sunil S. 1 year ago on Google
We had the butter chicken pizza which was good unfortunately the boscaiolo calzone was a little disappointing as it was a little undercooked in the centre. The service was excellent, with the staff giving us some free drinks as there was a delay with our order. Despite the slight disappointment with the calzone would still recommend the other pizzas, they're quite good and worth the wait

Funghi pizza uses BUTTON MUSHROOMS!!??? It is a woodfired pizza so the base is thin and tasty.

I was really looking forward to trying Pizza Gusto because I've heard several times that it is hands down the best pizza in Canberra. I went on a Friday night with the full expectation that there would be long wait times. My partner and I ordered the Gusto and one of their specials, the Shrimp Fraser (not sure if that was the exact name, but it sounded amazing with shrimp, pesto, prosciutto, etc). We waited about 45 min for 2 pizzas, which really wasn't so bad. As soon as we collected our pizzas, we rushed home to Gungahlin, super excited to eat. Much to our disappointment, the moment we opened both boxes, we realized they had given us the wrong order. Because we were so hungry already, we decided to just eat them because going back would take at least another hour. The pizzas were delicious, but obviously they weren't remotely close to what we ordered. Mistakes happen, I get it. I'd be willing to give Pizza Gusto another try, maybe just not on a Friday night.

Wood-fired pizza oven. Order takeaway and be on your way in minutes. Or stay and quirkiness.

  • 5/5 B S. 1 year ago on Google
Delicious pizza. The gluten free base was as delicious as the regular base. Toppings were great too. Was a little slow in coming, which they did tell us about - obviously because it’s so popular. We grabbed beers from the bottle shop next door, which had a nice range too.

  • 2/5 Laura P. 10 months ago on Google
Pizza is great quality but customer service and pizza storage is poor. Called to order takeaway and got firmly cut off when politely asking for a later time. I didn’t call back because I assumed they would have a way of keeping the pizza warm, so I would just pick it up 15 mins later. When I arrived, our pizzas were sitting on the kitchen bench, completely cold.

My family and I all agreed this is the best pizza we’ve ever had. Even the kids loved it more than any other pizza! Sad we live in NSW and not closer! Service was amazing and food was outstanding

Several of our team have eaten at Pizza Gusto many times. The owner used to live across the road, and we ate their pizzas weekly! Elliot runs an excellent business, with truly great pizzas. Very highly recommend.

  • 5/5 Connor S. 3 years ago on Google
Lovely people, amazing food. For that nice woodfired pizza, that's both light and hearty, these guys know how to do it. Although it does get very busy at peak times, they churn through orders, within 30-45mins, and it's well worth the wait.

My favourite place to eat in Canberra. I've had the butter chicken more times then I can count but it's far and above one of my favourite things to eat!! All the other pizzas are exceptional as well and the fried chicken as a side slaps so hard. Impossible to go wrong at this place! Byo as well with a bottle shop next door.

I don’t know what happened to this place, maybe a change of management but it really went downhill in the last two years. They’re basically selling marked up fast-food style pizzas. The cheese was disgusting, it was the thickest layer of rubbery oily yellow cheese I have ever seen. It was sliding off my pizza in one thick hardened layer. No real mozzarella at all. The only shame is that the atmosphere is lovely in Summer. But don’t expect a good authentic pizza here as the marketing suggests. You’re better off at Pizza Artigiana instead for real pizzas, or Dominoes for that fast-food style pizza craving (but at a cheaper price and better tasting than this)!

Got pizza here on Tuesday, and goodness me, it was fabulous! The service was so welcoming and I got recommended the butter chicken pizza. Sounds weird I know…but don’t knock it until you try it! 5 stars forever

On Friday June 12 the gambaretti pizza was so bland we couldn't even taste the cheese let along garlic. lemon on prawns. Have been looking forward to this after lockdown. We had been regular customers. Won't be back.

We first went to Pizza Gusto back in 2012, not long after it opened and it was the best pizza I’ve had in Canberra. Probably some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere! We moved away from the area but came back recently and were so delighted to find out the pizza is still as good as it ever was. Recommend the verde and the affettato.

  • 2/5 Leo 4 years ago on Google
Not the best experience, didn't mind the 30 min wait for the pizza since it was very busy. But after waiting and walking back to my hotel I found a long hair in my pizza. Gave them a call and they said come back in to get another pizza. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the comment I heard when I left the store "oh wow there actually was a hair in the pizza" Why would I lie about that and bring the old pizza back in and waste my time. Besides that I didnt mind the taste of the pizza
