๐Ÿ˜  I had the absolute worst experience ordering food from here, they had a cockroach in my soup. I ate half of it before I noticed. I feel so disgusted and hoping I don't get sick. Don't go here! If they have cockroach in anyone's food, that pretty much sums up their hygiene standards People often mention Thai, service, good, staff, restaurant, Canberra, meal, delicious, Great, curry,

First time I order food here in the lunch time. The male staff in the counter is polite and helpful. Food is also nice compared to other restaurants near here. Recommended.

Pretty average. Fried rice was ok, could hardly tell if the beef stir fry had any beef for all the onion ๐Ÿ‘Ž

I had the fish cakes that were OK (unfortunately not very spicey) but the star was the whole snapper... excellent. Other diners' dishes were also generous and tasty. All in all delicious food served in a comfy and quiet environment. The only downside was that the waitress who served the dishes really had no idea. I would go again.

We ordered the food at around 6pm and waited until 7:30pm still not food arrived, called the restaurant, they said nothing to do with them.... Of course it has to do with them as they are the service provider. The delivery finally arrived almost 8 pm where we try to go out and get new food as we are extremely hungry to find the the delivery guy drove to the drive way and left the food at the post box...in the cold...if we were not going out trying to find food, we wouldn't have known that the food has arrived. The food is horrible. Tom Kha is not Tomkha it taste like water from the washed pot of TomKha. I wouldn't order from this restuarant again... If you know Thai food... This restaurant doesn't at all presenting Thai food.

We ordered from here on menulog and they had trouble finding a driver, so instead we decided to drive down and eat in. We were so pleasantly surprised with the service and the food. Easily the best Thai food Iโ€™ve had for a while. Chicken skewers are so commonly over cooked and dry that itโ€™s just the standard I expect - here they were cooked to perfection, soft and chewy. Worth a visit or an online order!

Excellent flavour for lunch special. They were happy to make things vegan. Best Thai lunch I have had in Canberra.

We have dined here a few times. Food is delicious. The most recent visit was on a Saturday. It was very busy and they did not appear to have sufficient staff. However the waiter who did serve us (Alex) was courteous and provided a good customer service. We would recommend Baan Latsamy.

Won't go back there again. Not authentic Thai food. They used stir fry meat instead of diced meat in everything. There are many better Thai restaurants in Canberra.

The spring rolls ordered did not arrive after delivery by Menulog. I called the restaurant and they said they had been packed but could not do anything about it because they were too busy. So either they did not pack them or the Menulog delivery driver stole them. Wonโ€™t be using Menulog again or ordering from this restaurant.

Nice Thai restaurant, they also serve Vietnamese food as well. I like to have a hot bowl of noodles in the winter.

This restaurant might have been great when it was newly fitted out, i dunno 10-20 years ago? But it clearly hasn't been maintained or even cleaned since, and I hate to think what kind of bugs are crawling around the place. Food wise it was okay, but when I found a corner of plastic sauce packet snipped off in my passable stir fry i wanted to gag and growl at the same time. Staff were as indifferent to me as they are to keeping their livelihood clean.

Although the service was standard and the food pleasant. Iasked for the veg to be soft cooked but it wasnt so i could not eat my whole meal. The other issue was clenliness. The toilet floor was sticky and dirty. There was water spilt in the corridor which is a slip hazard and the was a very unwholesome smell when we arrived somthing like sewage. But we persisted. Had i gone to the toilet when we arrived i would have left immidiatly. Its a shame that let the place down badly . ps no soap.

โ€˜Salt & pepper squidโ€™, zero salt flavour & or pepper. Chicken used in other dishes resembled kebab style meat, inedible. Nothing authentic about the meal, which is disappointing. Steamed rice was good!

One of the very best Thai restaurants in Canberra. Stand out and unique entree is Lao spring rolls, and make sure you try their firey paw paw salad and Lao sausage!

Excellent Thai food! Great for a casual dinner with share plates or sneaky takeaway! Fish cakes are delicious.

Food is always fresh and hot and the delivery people are so friendly. The veggie rice paper rolls are some of the best Iโ€™ve had - lots of veggies and tofu and not too many noodles which often happens. Their veggie spring rolls are really yummy too.

Got a prawn shell in the chicken meal that i ordered... Don't even want to think about the fact they would use the same cutting board for chicken and prawns without cleaning it at least or just reusing the same sauce where there were prawns in it and just put chicken instead when they think there are no more prawns... Disgusting ! Could have been really dangerous for someone allergic to seafood...!

Friends of mine invited me to this restaurant. Of course, the first thing I did was check Google reviews. Because there were quite a few bad reviews, I asked myself why my friends would go there? Don't they read? Are they taste inhibited? Well, a few things first: it's roomy, very clean and all staff were extremely friendly. We sat there for hours talking and no one hassled us to order more or to leave. We were the last to leave and as we continued to talk outside of the restaurant, the staff individually said 'good night' as they themselves went home. So, in terms of friendliness, they get 5 stars plus! Now to the food: being married to a Thai, having mixed children and a place in Thailand, I can say that my Panang curry was very good. The best Panang curry is definitely in Cabramatta. But in Canberra, this is by far the BEST Panang curry I've had to date. When people whine about taste and authenticity, patrons don't understand that in Cabramatta, for example, 95% of the clientele are Asians, meaning that it must be 100% authentic. In Canberra, where 95% of the clientele are white folks (taste inhibited farangs), who will probably complain about a pinch of pepper in their food, it has to be watered down. My curry was a bit thin. Then again, even in Thailand, depending on the area you're in or who taught the cook, you can get Panang with 100% coconut milk/cream or a coconut-water mix, with or without fresh hot chilies, with a thick coconut gravy or watery sauce. So, even compared to cuisine in Thailand, Baan Latsamy is pretty good. Definitely the best in Canberra. If you want a good night out in a clean and relaxed environment with decent prices, I can recommend Baan Latsamy Thai.

Was ok but I thought the rice was awful which put me off the meal. There were some questionable vegetables in my green curry chicken...some if the zucchini seemed a bit old and tasted like it was off

Indistinct flavours and poor service. As a fan of the complex and aromatic flavours of Thai food I found the food bland and uninspiring. The experience was made worse by the inability of the staff to produce our bill so we could leave. There are better restaurants around the corner!
