A fantastic way to start a girls weekend in Canberra. I always look for a park run whenever I am away and this one did not disappoint.

I love everything about ParkRun. Burley Griffin ParkRun is the perfect start to Saturday when I'm visiting Canberra.

Well run, huge numbers, 400, the field thinned out and was a pleasant pre festival run.

The highlight of every week, this out and in 5km circuit is well run by the Parkrun volunteers and well attended by around 300 runners. The course is undulating and picturesque. I highly recommend giving it a try. Be warned, though not the hardest of courses, if you are used to Parkruns around lakes then I suggest conserve your energy on the way out else you won't have enough in the tanks to get back.

This parkrun usually has an excellent turnout rain hail or shine and is a reasonably fast course. Two of my fastest ACT parkrun times are done here.

A slowly undulating out and back course along the bike path along the edge of the lake. Because of the trees you don't see much of the lake but you will likely see some kangaroos and birds as you tootle along the course. Like all Parkruns, this is a lovely community event in a nice location. Come and have a go!

We were in Canberra for Easter and chose this Parkrun because it looked the most picturesque and we weren't disappointed. A slightly undulating out and back trail on a solid path. Approx 200 runners the day we did it.

A lovely Park Run course with good views and plenty of curves to keep the run interesting

Nice out & back along the lake. A couple of little hills to make you work before you get that morning coffee.

A nice run but, next time, can you hold off on the heavy rain!? 😉
