An interesting park, but unfortunately some of the equipment is rusting, which left unpleasant stains on our son's clothing (especially when the slide was slightly wet). Mostly suited for older children, especially the bigger equipment pods, but would probably avoid until it's had some maintenance work done.

It is designed for children aged 3 to 16 , but that didn't stop me having a climb . If you start shaking the pods it adds excitement for the children.

Plenty for kids between 5 to 9. Very busy. Located at the top of Molonglo and the wind was coming straight off snow so take a jacket.

A bit tricky to locate but managed to find it after a little search. Great park, lots of areas to explore, great view from the walkway near the park well worth the visit. Area for younger kids as well as older kids. We were there about 8 am and no one was around but probably gets busier at other times. I believe some parking is paid parking at certain times.

The Pod Playground is an absolute delight for all age groups! The design and variety of play equipment cater to every child's imagination. The younger ones can explore the soft play area, while older kids can enjoy the climbing structures and slides. A brilliant park that guarantees endless hours of entertainment!

The pod playground is a great place for your little ones, we have been multiple times and the kids love their time there. There is little shaded areas for seats and the playground is not very friendly to adults helping their kids through. I would recommend this place, however maybe bring your own shelter (umbrella).

Looks good but not the best playground to actually play in. A few swings and two slides (oh and a little rope area). Wouldn’t go out of our way to do it again.

  • 5/5 Peta 1 year ago on Google
A really different park compared to other parks in Canberra. The highest slide is very steep but fun. There is a smaller area for smaller children. A big rope frame to climb across. A variety of swings. Climbing and lots of fun.

Great park for the kids, has various levels of equipment and you can spend a fair amount of time there. Pack clothes for the family accordingly as the wind can sometimes pick up. The playground can get a bit busy at times.

More suitable for over 5s than toddlers. Lots of things to climb. Interesting equipment architecture.

  • 5/5 Amanda R. 1 year ago on Google
What a cool park! Amazing for all ages. Bring a jacket the wind on that ridge is very cold but worth it on a sunny warm day. Definitely worth a visit. There is also a cafe inside and a lovely store to explore. Before setting your eyes on the expansive view you can see from the top of the mountain.

This small pocket of play area inside the National Arboretum is more popular than the Arboretum itself. Nothing special aside from the giant acorn shape pods, which really are beautiful from afar.

  • 4/5 Julie A. 2 years ago on Google
Great playground for kids, but you need to be flexible as an adult esp for little ones.

  • 4/5 Dominik J. 2 years ago on Google
It's OK. In nice location. I have seen better though and so has my son. He got bored pretty quickly. Bonus - xylophone like bells in the wooden walking platform

Playground is really nice and has restroom. You could enjoy the coffee from the cafe next to the playground with a majestic view while the kids play.

It was a disappointment. A few previous phototakers were genius. Their photos made a normal kid playground look like something very grand. It was a normal playground, well maintained, well designed climbing frame with slides, and that was it. It was small, in the middle of nowhere except for the stunning view in the nearby visitor center and it took us 20 minutes on a motorway just to get there. It may not be an ideal site seeing spot for a Sydney to Canberra 3 days visit... I don't know. The view was really great, comparable to looking down from the roof of the Parliament House. The kids loved the playground, thou.

Pod Playground is a fantastic destination for families with young children. The playground is designed to look like a series of giant acorns and is nestled among the beautiful natural surroundings of the National Arboretum. The playground offers a range of play equipment suitable for children of all ages, including a sandpit, swings, slides, and climbing structures. The highlight, however, is undoubtedly the giant acorn structures that kids can climb inside and explore. They're both unique and exciting! The playground is well-maintained and clean, with plenty of seating options for parents to relax and watch their children play. There are also BBQ facilities nearby, making it an excellent spot for a family picnic. Overall, I highly recommend Pod Playground to anyone looking for a fun and engaging family-friendly activity in Canberra. The location, equipment, and overall atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for families with young children. I give it a 5/5 rating without hesitation!

This is the best playground in the world. The terrain of this playground make for some of the best floor is lava tag games you could ever dream of. the ground around here is also perfect for backflips, if I could rate backflipability I would rate this playground 5 stars for beginners.

Sensational! The playground has a big enough play area to account for large number of people, and with a different variety of play equipment to suit all ages of children. The scenic view of the arboretum is just the icing on the cake.

A wonderfully whimsical playground with great amenities. Open from 6am, 3 hours before the visitor centre opens, this is a great place for kids to play before the crowds come in. Expansive breath taking views are available 360 degrees. Onsite toilet with water bubbler makes this an easy place to play for hours. We were here 5 years ago and made a point to return. Great place.

Great park with something for all ages, but honestly probably better for older kids (4+), just because the little ones can't go on the awesome big climbing pod or spider web. For toddlers there are swings and a huge sand area. Would be great if it had a slippery dip too. My 1.5 yo equally enjoyed playing amongst the trees.

Good Playground. All fenced off. Have bubblers for water. Soft surface to avoid accident. Plenty of paid parking. Not much shelter if rain. Only one toilet which wasn't very clean. Overall worth the visit.
