Place is nice. Location is good. Service is by far the more rude I have ever seen in my life. Specially the manager Mr. Reyes. Booked a table a week in advance. They neither had it available nor offered a solution. There are so many good places in the area that we recommend never ever go to any La Compañía restaurant ever again

Absolutely AMAZING! The team here is top notch! The employees really take pride in the history of the hotel and in telling the building's story. Customer experience is awesome: people arrive as guests and leave as friends. The food and service are excellent - my only disappointment was that I couldn't give it 6 ⭐️ instead of 5. This hotel can go head-to-head with any of the world's best hotels - and come out the winner! Bravo!

I celebrated my birthday at The hotel recently, beautiful and awe is an understatement. The decor and quality of food is out of this world. However, what’s even better is the 5 star service of the French restaurant 1739, coming from the waiter KERWIN, he suggested a beautiful tasting red wine to go along my short rib, it was a match made in heaven. And I even got sung happy birthday in French. I can truly Say People like KERWIN make the experience all the better , a beautiful luxury hotel with 10/10 food and 10/10 service thank you KERWIN for making the experience a 100/10

A Must Stay in Panama!! Genuine hospitality. Absolutely stunning place, plus an authentic historical experience honouring the history of Panama. It is like you are staying in a beautiful museum…with amazing food. Fantastic restaurants; each a truly unique experience. Be sure to enjoy a cocktail on the rooftop bar / pool and take in the view. Highly recommend staying here for a true vacation experience!

I recently stayed at this hotel for my vacation and fell in love with it. My whole experience was truly amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The 5 restaurants were great options for food, and the room was stunning. I stayed in their French wing, so my room was very bright and spacious with a great outdoor terrace. The hotel is in a great location with tons of things to do - including museums, great coffee shops, and dining. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking to travel to Panama.

What an amazing place to visit. The hotel history alone can intrigue anyone. The place is like a museum on its own. ÙIt is a beautiful property with rooms in either a French or an American wing. There are a number of restaurants and bar on location. There is also a rooftop bar where the swimming pool is. The overall visit was amazing, a must visit place.

I live in Panama and love going to this beautiful place for breakfast in the weekend. Unfortunately, each time my experience has been horrible. The women at the entrance of the breakfast in the weekend is terrible, she has 0 flexibility, 0 adaptability to customers request. She only says "it's not possible". I came thrice with prior reservations with different group size and had to leave to another place nearby because of her lack of customer service. For such an incredible place with lovely food it's a shame not to level up the service. Hope it gets better.

This hotel exudes all guest expectations. Smiling faces and very accommodate, down to the cleaning staff. Invest in the breakfast included option, delicious choices and Lorena and Sophia were so accommodating. Rooms were awesome and property is lovely. The decor is so unique. Overall great experience and will recommend over any other place.

Stayed at the hotel over Labor Day weekend and while the hotel wasn’t 100% finished, it was a luxurious stay. The hotel is split into three wings, the American, the French and the Spanish wing. All portraying a different period in Panama’s history. The decorations are beautiful, historic and well done throughout. The location is great right in the heart of old town. The staff were wonderful to us, especially the concierges who helped with every little aspect of planning our days. Food was wonderful and the rooftop pool felt secluded and a word away from the busy town. Rooms were elegantly decorated and very comfortable. 10/10

Hotel La Compania will soon open its doors. The remarkable preservation of historic colonial structures combined with the very latest creature comforts of a world-class hotel will make this the place to stay in Panama City. A must-see for anyone interested in the rich history of Panama's last 5 centuries.

This hotel is magnificent—like staying in a museum!! It is located in historic Casco Vieja, where you can walk to many restaurants and sites of interest. But no need to leave the gorgeous hotel for the restaurants and food are incredible right here. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner and the service everywhere is so pleasant! We had a room with a terrace facing the street and there was a happy (and loud) celebration below. We are not particularly noise-sensitive but if someone is, you might want to request a room not facing the street. Such minor feedback on an otherwise perfect stay!

I am writing to review the 1739 restaurant and rooftop bar experiences. As there is no separate Google listing I will submit it here. 1739 is an excellent French restaurant with a superb wine selection. A special mention for Angelo and his superb service standards who helped make our evening excellent. We enjoyed our meal very much. The rooftop bar was beautiful with great service and well made cocktails.

The hotel is magnificent. The hotel has 88 rooms, but we were made to feel like the only guests. The breakfast is served in a lovely restaurant and we liked the decor so much we had dinner there also. The staff is delightful.

Such a beautiful and classic hotel! The service was prompt and cheerful from every member of the Hyatt staff - doormen, desk, restaurants, housekeeping....everyone at Hyatt. The hotel is so beautiful overall, and the rooms are even more beautiful! The balconies remind me of New Orleans a little - looking out into the narrow alleys and streets of Casco Viejo. Definitely will stay here again!

Located in the old, historic part of the city, this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is beautiful with interesting decor. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. And the service was exceptional. Also great walking distance to sights and restaurants.

This is a truly amazing hotel with exceptional service. Very highly recommended. My family of four stayed for 6 nights, with a room in the American wing. Highlights include: - really comfy beds and great shower. - rooftop pool - incredible building. The amount of work and thought that has gone into the design of the building - and sharing the history of the location - is amazing. - the restaurants are exceptional. But even more than all of that, I want to highlight the service. When we arrived (at noon, after a red-eye flight), the General Manager of the hotel (Sr. Reyes) greeted us and took our two children for an impromptu tour of the building while we checked in, then repeated that same tour for my wife and I while we waited 10 minutes for our room to be ready for an early check-in. We interacted with Sr Reyes numerous times during our stay, and also had a pleasant conversation with the hotel owner on one occasion as well as the assistant manager. All three acted as hosts, who wanted to ensure that all their guests were welcomed and cared for. But it wasn't just management - from Elias at the front desk, to the young lady at the concierge desk, to Daniel in the Sanctuarium restaurant, to the folks servicing our room - everyone was exceptionally kind, friendly and thoughtful. The highlight of our visit to Panama was NOT the canal, NOT our visit to the San Blas islands, it was this amazing hotel.

One of the most amazing hotels that I’ve ever stayed at. This place is the definition of quality customer service. Every single person from the maids to the owner went above and beyond. The GM Mr. Fidel Reyes was very attentive and an interesting person to have a conversation with. You can tell that he loves to be involved with everything at the hotel. We even met the owner of the hotel and he gave us a brief history of the location and the amount of work that went into this work of art. It was like staying at your favorite museum with comfortable rooms and your favorite restaurants. The rooftop pool was a nice bonus after a long and hot day in the sun. The rooftop bar is an amazing spot to finish off the night with the views of the city. I’m usually the type who saves money by staying at an Airbnb and cook my own food, but this place was worth the money to get spoiled for a week. My wife and I will definitely come back. I highly recommend this place, especially if you want to impress your significant other.

By far the best hotel in Panama! True 5 star service and rooms. Top end of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, same caliber as Park Hyatt and Four Seasons. Historic building in the center of the old city. Very safe and tons of restaurants and attractions within a 2 block walk.

This place was WOW! The standards they have exceed most of the full service resorts my wife and I have been to. Always accommodating and with a smile, the staff and hospitality management personnel should be rewarded. A big kudos to Daniel, who always made us feel more like family than guests. When we visit Panama again, I will only stay here. Food at every restaurant was great and the lounge atmosphere was spot on for a relaxing evening.

Didn’t stay at the hotel, I ate at El Santuario restaurant. The salmon was incredible. 😋👌🏼The hotel is gorgeous! The ambience and staff were next level. Lots of options for food.

Just had drinks and light snacks at the rooftop bar. Ordered the Smoked Brisket nachos. While the flavors were good they are not Nachos. More like deconstructed nachos, all the components are separated on the plate and you basically have to build your own on each chip. I think they need to rethink this dish. Everything else we ordered was quite good.

I recently had a 3 day stay and I had such an amazing experience. From the moment I stepped into this hotel, I was captivated by its beautiful decorations and well-thought-out architecture. It’s evident that every corner was designed with care and precision, creating an ambiance that truly reflects the history of Panama with perfect blending of the modern luxury. The service is impeccable and the staff are so friendly and helpful. And to top of it all, the food in their 5 restaurants was an absolute treat to the palate. This isn't just a hotel – it's a destination hotel in Panama. Congratulations and thank you to all the staff.

I had an extraordinary experience at this luxurious hotel in the heart of Panama's historic old town. It's truly remarkable how they've restored this old building with three different styles. We stayed three nights in the French wing which was amazing. We ate in all the restaurans, the food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch, all within an incredible setting. A must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of history and modern luxury in the best location of Panama City.

A beautifully restored historic building on a grand scale, with some of the most welcoming staff in Central America. The area around is going through a huge transformation - it was quite run down, but almost every building is being renovated. There's lots of great restaurants and bars in the streets around, but for the biggest concentration you really need to get a taxi north. Miraflores is 20-40 minutes depending on traffic.

The hotel is lovely, thoughtfully appointed and very comfortable. The staff is amazing - the bellman and front desk teams are helpful and enthusiastic. Jaime even gave us a nice tour of the hotel with historical background. Conveniently located to all that Casco Viejo has to offer!

My husband and I spent 10 days at the hotel, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff were welcoming and attentive. It is certainly not the norm to have hotel staff greet their guests by name. However, every morning the staff of the El Santuario Restaurant greeted us by our names. A special "shout-out" to Nadezhka Veliz and Sommelier Angelo Keith. In addition to her wonderful smile, Ms. Veliz provided historical context to the items sold in the souvenir shop, and Sommelier Keith gave us a three-hour presention on the origins of wine while we tasted different kinds of wines. Who knows, perhaps we can now describe ourselves as wine connoisseurs. There was, however, one observation that caused us great concern. During the tour of the hotel while being shown the antique plumbing fixtures in the men's room outside of the American Bazzar Restaurant, there was a humongous painting portraying an image of an angry, threatening, and ferocious looking Black man. These kinds of negative protrayals of Black men as predators only feeds into racists stereotypes. Given the ample amount of art work displayed throughout the hotel, we believe a more positive portrayal of a Black male can be found. Thanks for a wonderful stay, and we look forward to returning soon.

Having been fortunate enough to stay at many world-class hotels and resorts, I can confidently state that Hotel La Compañia in Panama is in a league of its own. Of course, there are many factors that make a hotel stay exceptional, such as comfortable beds, convenient location, and top-notch amenities. But what truly sets a hotel apart is its service, and the staff at La Compañia exceeded all expectations in this regard. I cannot speak highly enough of the attentive and inclusive service we received throughout our stay. There is one individual, however, who truly made our time at La Compañia unforgettable - Angelo Keith, the Sommelier and Manager of the French restaurant in this Hyatt property. His recommendation that we dine at the 1739 French restaurant was a game-changer for us, and it convinced us to try the Wine Cellar Experience with Angelo and his team. All I can say is that this experience was exactly what we needed - a perfect blend of history, culture, and exceptional service. And, of course, the wine was outstanding! I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone looking to take their appreciation of wine and history to the next level. Be sure to ask for Angelo - he truly is a gem! Cheers to an amazing stay at Hotel La Compañia!

Probably one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in the last 5 years. The service was amazing. Staff was attentive and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were comfortable. We were located in the heart of old Panama , and had easy access to everything. The hotel and rooms were SPOTLESS. I can’t even express how clean our room was, the sheets, the bathrooms, everything was pristine. It was perfect. We also loved that our mini fridge was complimentary and we didn’t have to worry about stocking up on drinks. The breakfast was fantastic, filled with so many different options. We also LOVED the French restaurant. If you are visiting Panama, you have to book your stay with this hotel.

This was by far the best hotel stay I've had in Latin America, and one of the best Hyatts I've ever been to. The room was gorgeous, the food was amazing, the facilities are great, and the staff was superb. I look forward to my future stay! The only downside is that the gym is too small, but that's a personal preference.

My wife and I had the immense pleasure of spending 2 nights at La Compania over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I can't give enough superlatives to this property. We actually had issues with the air conditioning with the first room and were treated lie royalty from the front desk to the bellman who took us on an amazing, informed tour of the property. The owner of the property, Chris personally made sure we were satisfied with everything during our stay. He is a highly unusual, special and inspiring person. Don't miss the Bar, the food, the Pool and all the small details. We fell in love with this historic property restored with passion. We are returning for New Years in a few weeks for a Masquerade Ball to be held in the adjacent Church Ruins. Cant wait to be back.

This hotel is amazing! The beauty and history of this hotel is out of this world. The staff here is phenomenal and very knowledgeable of the area. Ask for a tour of the hotel as a guest, you won't regret it! I can't wait to visit again. Also make sure to stay in the French and Spanish wing. The decor of the hotel will have you at "Wooow". The food is delicious and very affordable.

I want to write a long and completely detailed review but there are just too many good things to say. This hotel was absolutely beautiful and no detail was spared! Complete luxury! To be completely transparent, it is brand new so there are still some kinks, some patio furniture needs to be added some logistics but oh my gosh, an amazing start! The restaurant downstairs is top tier, five star and the service is immaculate! This is the first time that I kept passing outside restaurants up wanting to eat at my hotel. However, I am mainly here for the service. The staff is completely amazing and they all need raises immediately! I wanted to bring each one of them home with me because they could teach my country about customer service especially after covid. Juan, Carlos, Aradene, Bertha, Angelo...♥️♥️♥️♥️! I hope I got all of the names right because they deserve recognition!! We were treated like royalty and it would be the main reason I would want to visit Panama again. Thank you all!!

La Compania Hotel is a wonderful historic hotel in Old Town. They have done a wonderful job at restoring the original buildings with an eye towards telling their story. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious. The bar is beautiful. The food is very good and both restaurants. I would highly recommend and certainly revisit.

I can’t rave enough about Hotel La Compania. It’s one of the most beautiful, comfortable and welcoming places we’ve ever stayed. My family and I spent the first couple nights of our Panama trip here, and we loved it so much, we left the place where we had a reservation to come back for one more night. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant is delicious and varied, the cocktail bar is so cool and the service is always warm and attentive. The beds are insanely luxurious and the bathrooms are gorgeous. We loved the mixture of centuries-old architecture with cool, new design. Thanks for a spectacular stay!

We came from the states and I used my points for a week. Hotel is beautiful. Everything was new. The bed was comfortable. We booked a king room and had a balcony. We had coffee and toast for breakfast, which initially they told me it was included then on day 4 they said it wasn't , then backed charged me without notifying me. Otherwise, Hotel is very well staffed. Very nice and accommodating staff. Very quiet at night. We would stay here again however not an entire week. It doesn't have a pool which then our last night we booked at another hotel with a pool.

Extremely inconsiderate to neighbours. Very noisy, blocking local streets without coordinating with people around the hotel, thus making lives of the residents of adjoining streets a nightmare. Unfriendly to disabled people.

Looking forward to staying at this hotel due to the history and location but they do not accept points bookings. Why can't we book with points? The only way to use points is for a suite upgrade but it's not worth it. You can book a regular room for $262 and then if you want to use points for a suite upgrade it requires an additional $415 + 9000 points just for the upgrade. $262 + $415 = $677 + 9000 points? Paying outright for One King Bed Suite for $692 makes more for sense. Don't waste your 9000 points for $15 of savings. Hopefully the marketing team for this hotel comes out with a better deal before it opens.
