In Djibouti, one of the things that I love the most is delicious Yemeni food. Here in Janateyn, you can enjoy really tasty one popular among the local Djiboutian. Yemeni fish is undoubtedly one of the best signature dish here. Followed by Yemeni classic dessert made from banana, all you can experience here is satisfactory.

This is a Fish restaurant. The experience alone is fantastic. I was able to witness the whole process of how it's done. You select the fish you want. It doesn't matter what size or what kind.. they were all great. The barracuda tasted delicious. Then you get to watch the guy clean your fish before he adds the chili seasoning prior to it going into the oven. They will gently lower the fish into the kiln oven. It's has really firewood strategically placed in the middle so there is still room for the fish to lean on the inside of it while it's cooking. The bread is cook in the same kiln but it sticks to the wall. Everything is made from scratch and the produce are all imported from Ethiopia. This place gets really packed so make sure you get there when they first open up. There are a lot of businessmen and locals who frequently visits this restaurant. I enjoyed my experience and the food was delicious 😍 I'm so glad I got to visit it 2x

This was such a lovely experience. You choose your fish from the kitchen coolers. There are a variety of fish available, including barracuda & snapper. The meal starts with fresh salad plates and flatbread. The flatbread comes in plain, sesame & cheese versions. The cheese was super delicious. The fish is served with a tomato purée and a spicy green purée. The spicy one was delicious and packed some heat. We enjoyed the lemon mint drink, as well. For desert, they served a variety plate with bananas, dates, chocolate & crepes. They also had fruit cups. The place was very clean and the servers did an excellent job of serving our English speaking group. We paid 5,500/person, which we felt was fair.

First meal in Djibouti, so I wanted to make it count. Yemeni food on the side of a dirt road while call to prayer took place across the street. Needless to say, everything about this meal was legit.

Great food even though the place seemed smaller and it’s impossible to have private conversations.

What an amazing place. It’s basically a set menu of salad, bread, dips, a grilled fish of your choice (I had barracuda) and mixed deserts. Extremely nice service, delicious food, super fast and fair priced for Djibouti
