I choose to stay here every month when I fly in on business. The staff greets me from the from the security guard to the front counter to the cleaner to the manager. It's comfortable. It's accommodating. It's home from home. I high highly recommend staying at the Sheraton in Djibouti

First off, it is quite expensive but I suppose it is because Djibouti is generally expensive as most items are imported. The problem is you won't always feel like you are getting value for money and can't quite compare to other Sheraton hotels. There are aspects of this hotel that I liked, such as the very friendly front office staff, amazing views of the Red Sea, the club lounge, the Djibtonic event that was held there during my stay there, a sushi night and a whole day beach trip that I never went to (organised for every Friday and Saturday). It just means that they have activities to break the monotony. The rooms are ok- built during a different time but ok. I had read an earlier review about a bathroom drain stopper that wasn't functional and alas! I faced the same problem. It took about 3 days of multiple reminders for it to be fixed. The housekeeping is also very random in terms of how they replenish the supplies e.g. I got a shaving kit for the first time during my 5th day, other times they would throw away a shower cap that was still usable but not replenish. The evening service at the lobby restaurant was quite slow. The buffet in the main restaurant was just ok. I noted some inconsistency e.g. The first day I ordered the moment burger, I would have sworn it was the best burger I have ever eaten, so ordered the same the following day....n it was terrible!

The hotel looks nice and the rooms are being renovated progressively. The food is good. The connection is a bit slow but fair enough. Hassan from the customer relations is very helpful and welcoming. The only disappointment for me was the pool because the water was so hot. Hopefully next time it will be better. Will come back for sure

The new part of the hotel is good if you can get one of those rooms. Ask up front for a new room. The old part of the hotel needs to be update. It is a big hotel so the new rooms go quick and to the people who pay the most money. Don't expect to get a new room on the per diem rate.

This rating is for the restaurant. The buffet is always good and had many different choices. Everyone should be able to find a pleasant meal there. The current price is 6900 DJF. That also includes use of the pool and cigar lounge. The a la cart menu has a good selection of entrées, drinks, and desserts. I got the mixed grill. I asked for the beef to be cooked medium rare. However, it came very, very well done. That was the only disappointment that I have had there so far. The service is always good, and the wait staff are very friendly and helpful.

I have lived here for a few times over the years. The hotel is old but they have done a lot of work to keep it up to standards. What makes the hotel a great and welcomed place to stay, is when you walk in and you see familiar faces that truely belive in customer experiance. Amani and team thank you for what you do. I will always recommend the hotel.

It is far away from being a Sheraton. The front desk and restaurant personnel is terrible. Their attitude should not be acceptable for these kind of a hotel, but it is accepted in this hotel. Housekeeping is not bad. No guest relations at the hotel, nobody cares about the problems. There is no good food at the restaurant. We ordered burger, it smells disgusting! I ordered pizza, they just put the pizza on the table, no service, nothing else. I requested napkins and they brought paper towel that they use at the bar. There was a coffee spilled on the floor, no cleaning, it stays there. Restaurant is very old and stinks all the time. Water is salty. However, the prices are too high. Definitely not worth it. They always wait at the corner, watching and trying to charge you money for something, but you don't get anything that worth the money. This is my second time staying here but I will never stay here again.

The Sheraton Djibouti has stunning grounds and an intimate atmosphere. The pool, restaurant and Café are idealy situated with the expansive sea views taking center stage. Although it was very quiet while we visited, you can tell it would be a great place for groups to have a fun getaway. Highly recommended for this area to stay and have a getaway at this Sheraton!

The staff are helpful and warm. Their food is amazing, I never missed a meal and the pastry chef is so good. Special mention to the IT manager, he did a great job fixing my laptop and is also a very kind and warm gentleman. Hassan the guest relations was also super kind and helpful. I forgot my phone in the car and the driver Idriss brought it back to me, many thanks Idriss. Great experience indeed and the hotel looks great. I’ll be back!

Didnt take room. Staying in the center hotel, we were looking for a nice beach, to drink a beer, etc. After hard tries with taxi drivers, found this hotel. Found inside a nice clean and very small beach, water super hot. They have also swim pool. The point is that, to stay on the sand cost zero. To enter in the sea's water cost 30$ USD.. crazy. And, we paid and went at least to their swimming pool. Definitely, one of the poorest city in the world , but with prices higher than Singapore, Monaco or New York. Hotel it is gorgeous, at least what we saw visually
