Aammiq Wetland is one of the most unusual nature reserves in Lebanon. While most others consist of forests and are situated on mountain slopes, this reserve is in the very flat Beqaa Valley and consists mostly of walks along various bodies of water. The sights are amazing and change in accordance with the season. If you want to see as much water as the wetlands can offer, the best seasons would be early spring and late fall, the weather permitting. But every season, including the driest, will reward you in different ways. Visit more than once to appreciate the differences.

Ammiq is one of the most incredible Natural sites in Lebanon (and I've seen many!) The site is well designed to be an amazing place to hike, in the middle of many gorgeous views and very calm ambiance. Photos will talk.

DescriptionThe Aammiq Wetland is the largest remaining freshwater wetland in Lebanon, a remnant of much more extensive marshes and lakes that once existed in the Bekaa Valley.

Visit this place in the spring, it is super amazing. You can enjoy a walk in the nature surronded by the water swamps.
