Nice little campground tucked away in the mountain. Last mile and a half drive to and from campground is one way, paved. Water at the beginning where the camphost is so make sure you fill up before heading up to campground. Covered picnic tables and clean bathrooms. No showers. For $7/night you can't beat the views. Half price for military, seniors, etc. Quiet at night and rangers very friendly.

Great campground! Nice hikes and good view of the mountains! Make sure to bring your own water and firewood. My main concern is that the gate closes at 6pm no exceptions. (They even have road spikes to prove it). If all you plan on doing is hiking or a few day things then I totally recommend it. If you plan on being out past dawn or think you might get back after 6 maybe find some place more flexible.

Love love LOVED this place!!! What an awesome camping spot! Very well-kept, clean, convenient, quiet, and gorgeous views! All that for only $7! Hands down the best place I have camped at! And the bathrooms were spotless and did not smell at all! If you are in the area and need a place to crash, this is the place!

This place is cool! Great views, pretty hike, no hook ups and lots are not all level. We have a 26ft motorhome and found one pull through lot. Only one way roads so find a spot and take it. Only 35 min to White sands. No dump station that I saw. Water avail at the gate... Bring a long hose. Will come back when we pass through. Thanks!!

Very well maintained camp with breathtaking views. The fee is $7 a night plus $5 for each vehicle. Picnic tables are included as well. Highly recommended for nature lovers 👌

I mean what can I say... you have to experience it yourself. Vault toilets, no electric or water (water upon arrival at camphost). This campground was silent, beautiful and just one of a kind. It is a long, winding road in and a long winding road out. Gates close at 8 pm in the summer but I think this is a good thing, you want this place to stay protected. Spot 14 was sooo private, with your own little private hiking trails and rocks. The wind can be very intense so becareful and secure your items 😃. Las Cruces is about 25 mins away and then White Sands NP is about 30 miles in the opposite direction. This place was amazing and I couldn't recommend enough.

Awesome campground. Make sure to have plenty of water for drinking and washing dishes or yourself. The closest water is by the entrance, which is like about 10 min away with all of the windy road. 30 miles to the great white sand dunes and 25 min to Walmart. Only outhouse - No showers. Campsites are very well maintained, and few have shades for tent camping. Wind was blowing hard in early April. Beautiful scenery!

Excellent views. Super nice host. Quiet at night with the gate locked. Very peaceful. Set up more for tent campers but there seemed to be a few level spots. Clean bathrooms & great cell service.

Camped for a 2 day weekend. Very happy with the campground. Nice pavilions, good size table, a grill for cooking, clean restrooms, and fire pits located by site. Good cell phone service was able to telework for a few hours when needed. Some camping sites have parking right next to the pavilions. Bring your own firewood for the pits. Two hiking trails to choose from with peaceful sites and easy to follow trail. Primitive camp site located at the halfway point if you’d like to stay on the mountain.

A beautiful campground and hiking area quite close to the city. Outhouses and group pavillion. The camping spots have fire rings with grills, and upright bbq grills as well. It's very beautiful there, but not quiet due to the campers' behavior. The quiet hours are not really obeyed, which is a shame. It costs $5 to stop in the camping loop area, and the camp hosts or forest service will check up that you've paid. It's a breathtaking area.

Not for big rigs, trust me. What a lovely little campground on the mountain side. So quiet. Road in is long and curvy and hilly and fun. We hiked the pine tree trail, even found snow at the highest point! In December. Not many peeps there, so that was 🙂

Don’t listen to anybody else, there is plenty of free water at the host’s location. The drive up to the campsite is many miles and lots of fun if you like curves and turns. Day use is $5 per vehicle and $15 per bus.Camping fees are $7 per campsite. We camped for $3.50 per night because of the national park golden age passport.

Paved road all through since leaving highway 70. All sites have nearby CLEAN bathrooms with plenty of toilet paper. Every site has a picnic table, grill and trash cans. Things to note: *You pay $7 for night for camping CASH, you deposit it in an envelope they provide at the entrance. You will then rip off the back of the envelope and take with you to place in the pole with your numbered site. *not all sites are tent friendly, you would have to find one with a nice flat surface. *bring your own firewood, you are NOT allowed to cut down or mess with the nature there. The camping is excellent, well maintained, if I was to say something negative is the proximity of some sites to each other. Overall one of the best I’ve camped in.

Very nice campsites... some are fairly level, some not so much. 2-3 bars of Verizon in most places up to 5 with a booster. Vault toilets were clean and well stocked. Camp host was super helpful and friendly. $7 bucks a night and half that with ATB pass. Water at entrance to campground only. No hookups but very nice. Highly recommend. Not for big rvs... 25 ft. and less.

Great campsite! We went on Friday, February 24th and there were a ton of campsites available. This Campground does close earlier than other campgrounds that we're used to...get there before 6pm.

Great place to go hiking. Although no drinking water available but about a mile before you get to the area. No bathrooms or portable toilets.

This is an amazingly beautiful campground with breathtaking views. Sites are well spread out. We were in 26, which was lovely. I hiked the trails, which were also just gorgeous. It is quiet. Toilets are as clean as is possible and spaced all over camp. We loaded up on water at the camp host stop, then refilled jugs. It's an amazing camp. We had no trouble getting in with our 4500 with truck camper, pulling a 20' trailer.

One of the best place in Southern NM to relax alone or with family or friends. The views are magnificent. You never know who will show up for lunch.

This place has wonderful hiking trails. After the good rain it was wonderfully green and we saw plenty of wildlife. It was a great time.

Great little campground. Most sites are small. With our truck and trailer camper total length about 42 feet. No problems navigating around or getting to the campground. It is narrow the last bit, just take your time.

👍👍 Great Staff. Awesome playground too. Very clean, great views of the valley and mountains, nice gravel sites that are level. We’d absolutely stay here again. Our son made drawings for the ladies running the office today. They were so sweet to him

👍👍 Dispersed camping. Beautiful setting at the base of the Organ Mountains. It's beautiful even when it rains.
