We felt scammed! It was our first time in this restaurant. Ambience was welcoming. Interiors and lights were great. A female staff welcomed us and guided us to our table. We immediately asked if we could use our vouchers. We do have Entertainers, MyBook and UrbanPoint. She told us that they don’t honor these anymore. Instead, they can offer 20% discounts on selected dishes. Instrad of leaving, we decided to push through simce it was our first time in this restaurant. Appetizer is “on the house”. It has 3 dipping sauces. We ordered the Chelo Joojeh Platter and the Curry. Softdrink costs 5qar and the still water costs 8qar. The foods were tasty! Presentation was really nice as well. The curry was creamy and well-seasoned. The platter has 3 different rice on it. The chicken was tender. When we asked for the bill, a male staff gave it to us with the original price of the menu items. We asked if this is the discounted price as mentioned by the female staff in the entrance. He said “no”. So we asked for the discounted bill. He went back to the cashier and took atleast 5minutes before the same female staff came to us. She asked us if we have the “vouchers” which we already told her from the start that we do have it. We offered our 3 vouchers and she selected the Entertainer. She then told us that they are accepting vouchers. So from qar144, it became qar81. Until now, we are still thinking why they refused to honor our vouchers and then suddenly accepts it during payment? Weird.

Having a great dinner in a good place located tourist spot souq wakif. Ordered Chelo Jojeeh Kebab with 3 difference kind of Iranian rice and a butter chicken side dish with a cup Cuppucino. The chicken is soft enough to eat and the butter chicken sauce is great.

Village exceeded my expectations! The dishes were flavorful, and presentation was top-notch. Attentive staff made the evening enjoyable. Only drawback was a slightly noisy atmosphere. Overall, a delightful dining spot!

Nestled in picturesque corner of Souq Wasif, The Village is a true gem that combines exceptional cuisine with an unbeatable ambiance and location. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted by an inviting and elegant atmosphere. The restaurant’s location is a major selling point. During my recent visit, I had a pleasure of trying their kebab platter , which was a culinary masterpiece. The appetizers were delicious and the ambience was delightful. However, as the time passed, we realized that the seesha we had ordered was nowhere to be seen. We waited patiently for out waiter to bring the seesha, assuming that it might take little longer to prepare. but after a considerable wait, it became apparent that it had been forgotten. In conclusion, The Village had the potential for a great evening, but the forgotten seesha was notable hiccup. The food, ambience and service had their merits, but the attention to detail was lacking. If the restaurant can improve on ensuring all ordered are delivered promptly, it could be an even better destination for those seeking a relaxing atmosphere and sheesha experience.

The food is expensive but you will be blown away by the taste of it. We had the chicken curries, amritsari and butter both of which were great. The biryani rice was very good and i am expecting their biryani would be marvelous since only the rice was damn good. The main highlights were the kebab platter and Pide's (fatayer) which had our mouths watering. I haven't had fatayer which was superb in a long time now and the mutton in the kebab platter was awesome..i was surprised to eat it as there was no smell like in Australian/US mutton or beef which really had me stunned. All in all a 5 star experience along with a great Ambience and the hostess were very attentive. Beware their portion size is extremely huge, order with care.

Nice airco restaurant wirh good Persian and Indian food. Ambiance is between static and a little towards cosy. Staff is not overly friendly. After refusing a glass with ice for our cola, we never got a new dry glass. Second was the menu app which on one mobile only showed two items per category.

( My opinion ) Food compared to the main branch was mehhh , not good at all. Zero options for drinks. Fresh juice feels canned , No cutlery , only plastic , and bruh its fine dinning !! Satin cloth not good for napkins. Service wise people have no time for you and they are always busy but a waitress was nice though. Overall , this place is hella average , and not what people expect. BUT Do visit the main branch because itsss SOOO GOOD !!! better than this garbage place (No offense sir )

The food was fine, but not good enough for that price. The decorations are very simple compared to other restaurants with the same price range in the Souq.

Good food, but not wow, slow service, very fancy looking decor. The atmosphere is slightly uneasy, I had the feeling someone was always watching us in a rude way, whether it be the staff or other customers.

Ambience is pretty good with clean interiors Hospitable host/waitor Price vs Taste of the Food is not UpTo the mark. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Lovely night out. The food and service was superb. We were sat outside and the atmosphere was really good. The service was really good. Everything was flexible and was catered to everyone’s individual taste. The curries were made according to everyone’s desired spice level. The food was all delicious.

We took a chance, it was a not the busiest in comparison to the other restaurants in the souk, however it impressed us a lot. Biryani was lovely, rice cooked perfectly and the kebabs nice and moist. It doesn’t have the ambience but sitting outside you can peer at the world go by which is pretty cool.

I recently dined at The Village in Souq Waqif, Doha, and had a delightful experience. The authentic ambiance, flavorful dishes, and attentive service made it a memorable visit. The pricing was slightly on the higher side, but the overall experience was worth it. Recommended for those seeking an authentic Qatari dining experience. Thanks to the Team from Beja Tunisia and Aghadeer Morocco

It’s a very bad and expensive restaurant.. I would expect high quality due to the price and location asked the waitress about the most ordered food then ordered mix grill & hummus.. they brought a very cold bread and when I told her, she took the basket and just heat it up a little bit then brought it back warm but dry !!!!!! Mix grill doesn’t have any special and it was very bad actually

Village Restaurant is a nice quiet place to dine. The decor is elegant and sophisticated. Their menu has a variety of options such as Arabic, Turkish, Iranian and an Indian option. The food was okay, as was the presentation of it, however, I wasn’t overly blown away with the taste. The biryani was bland and the rice I had tasted as though it had come out of plastic bag! It was quiet whilst we were in the restaurant, but service was extremely slow.

The worst service I’ve experienced in a long while. They seated us upstairs, ordered food , waited for 45 minutes and only received portion of our appetizer. We wanted to leave and go somewhere else and they wanted to charge us for a full meal. After we expressed our dissatisfaction, they still charged us half of the food we never ate. Shameful!

We had an okay experience. You pay premium price for the location in souq waqif. Service is good but the food was just okay. The “set menu” (chicken, mixed or sea food) is decent and large enough to be shared. Fresh juices didn’t feel fresh. Plenty of seating so didn’t have to wait.

One of the top names in Qatar and in Souq Waqif. To begin with, location is very apt and easily reachable - right opposite to Souq Police Station and the Thumb statue. The restaurant is well spaced, with more than enough gaps between tables to enjoy your privacy. The food is also amazing, though I would say its bit expensive, but compared to the quality and taste of food, the price is justified. The staffs are very cheerful and friendly. Special shout out to Mr. Igin and his team who always serve the best restaurant experience in Souq Waqif.

The food and service here is good. I believe their intention is to be exceptional, but they just fall short. The reason being their dishes are very good for the price, but the presentation from the staff could use a little more effort.
