An excellent restaurant in Doha and isn't far from the airport

This isn’t the same as it used to be before. The service suffers big time. Extended wait for the food delivery is bit of patience tester, so with lot of patience, you may dine well. Few food items are yet another downer. Cleanliness and hygiene added to downhill. Ordered food and had to wait 45 mins for a simple soup and readily available rice. Didn’t understand what takes so long for it to arrive. Had to even request it from the waiter and the manger, but the same prolonged wait. They no longer serve hot bread, instead the kuboos available in grocery, the value for money goes off the roof. The spoon provided was dirty and not cleaned too, disappointed with hygiene. In summary: have lot of patience and dont come here if you are hungry, have to deal with hygiene issues aswell. only consoling fact is, nice appetiser like Babu ganush and humus. Favourite Restaurant in Souq Waqif, nice view on the top but the taste mostly sour...tried lamp chops with sheesha.. Mr.Risham communicate very friendly.. all r friendly staff

I would like to express my experience with this horrible restaurant. Firstly, I ordered a few foods and it took hour, even for a box of tissue and we have to stand up to take our own tissue!!! What a shame… and the service was garbage, they ignore you and very slow as if they cant hear you and racist to weat asians but wallahi the service was bad, very very bad (disappointing) and the food >:(((( it was just few and not as good as my expectation.. I will never come to this place or so called restaurant and i will advice you to NOT come if you wanted to stay for an hour waiting, soo dont come wallah horrible just horrible….

Favourite Restaurant in Souq Waqif, nice view on the top but the taste mostly sour...tried mixed seafood is sour taste.

While at the Souq Wagif in Doha we stopped by this restaurant to try it out for dinner last night. They serve eastern cuisines as stated on the sign and their menu. Upon entering the restaurant we were pleasantly greeted by the staff and given a table of our choosing. We ordered the Halabi kebab, chicken skewers, hummus, salad and Riyash which is lamb ribs separated. The food was amazing and the service was great. If you find yourself in Doha’s Souq Wagif stop by and give Al Bandar group of restaurants a try I am sure the experience and the food will enjoyable.

The property has a very distinguished location. Prices are reasonable. Food is okay not that great, i would prefer Turkey central for the cuisine but definitely worth for the vibe and location.

What makes the restaurant have such bad service that the customers get discriminated against? The food was very mediocre, bland, and not very good. But the service itself makes this restaurant horrible. We had to wait 20 minutes to order and over an hour just to get such plain food, and on top of that, they are overpriced which is not worth going to this restaurant.

This restaurant is not bad. Foods are great. They just slow. Be patient.

I went for dinner and sited upstairs in the terrace. Nobody came to attend and I call waitress to bring me the menu. After some time he took the order. Then...more than 24 minutes they bring me entree and main course at the same time. Without spoon, knife and fork...that I asked for them. Beverage never came...but I ask many times to any waitress that passed around me. Finally, a bottle of water came when I was almost finishing. The food was eaten simultaneously avoiding the cooling of the main course. It was a very bad service, but the food was very good. Don't loose the lamb. Other options around could be better than this.

Came during the weekend, 25 Feb (Saturday) and the restaurant wasn't crowded as usual. Service was excellent. Food was tasty and portion is big. Price is reasonable too.

Sat upstairs outside with a lovely view. The food was really tasty and much cheaper than I thought it would be. Nice place.

So slow service .The food is not that delicious. It is average. We ask for cold drinks with ice but no response. It is not that munch crowded . we came because the website says it is one of the best restaurants in Qatar. Unfortunately it is not🙃

Good service, good menu … not overly extensive. Hot & Cold beverages was very good, you can do better with Shisha 😎

We went for lunch 4 guys. The waiting time was around 1 hour from our order until the food came. Waiter also forgot about our drinks. The food itself was disappointing (no hot starters were available). Lamb chops were very dry and overcooked. There are better options in Souq Waqif for food. I would recommend only going here for drinks as the place it self is nice (we say at the upstairs terrace).

Their bread is not freshly made garlic sauce too sour kofta was fried not grilled for set menu of 100qar was ok just bit dissapointed with food since we are eating in diff restaurant in doha so u can compare each and everything u eat

Ordered Hammore fish with garlic butter chili sauce, the fish was not fresh and burnt the sauce was full of superspicy chilli, I asked the waiter to reduce the chillies than a sauce with no chili came. I had to call and ask for tissue, spoon, salt and garlic 3 times!! They took long time to bring the bill as well. Apart from the location and nice indoor décor everything sucks about this place.

Airco restaurant, mainly on first floor, but outside terrace possible. Food was good, but staff was not really friendly or quick. Outside on first floor you've got a view on the square before the Souq. Wouldn't advise to go here.

It couldn't be worse. Bad food (stomach hurt instantly), poor menu, and many items from the menu are not available. The service is also low level. That's not how it should be in Qatar...

I waited 40 minutes before I got the appetizer and bottle of water I ordered. The appetizer was cold inside instead of cooked. No one bothered to ask how the good was and when I told the guy who cleared the table my food was uncooked he walked away. I would walk away from this place.

Our food took awhile to be served after around an hour. I tried their chicken biryani and maybe it's because I got hungry from waiting but I wasn't disappointed with how it tasted. The rice was fluffy and the chicken was tender. Texture wise, the biryani felt amazing to eat, flavour wise, it's not the best but at least above average. We ordered the seafood fried rice but although the rice grains were cooked, the rice grains don't have any flavour. We actually liked the mixed vegetables, the sauce was fine and the vegetables were cooked almost perfectly. The fried calamari was ok, the sauce was nice but the calamari needed more seasonings but the texture was nice for my liking. The whole grilled chicken wasn't that impressive, you could just go to a Turkish restaurant and buy better and cheaper grilled chicken. The service however is very slow. Even the bill took way too long. It was pricey but the vibe and atmosphere was actually nice. The restaurant isn't that bad but it's not that great either. You could probably find way better and cheaper restaurants but the food here isn't that bad aside from the grilled chicken which you can order cheaper from other restaurants. Once you eat here for the first time, you probably won't come back again but the restaurant is okay at best and worst.

AVOID! The food here is DISGUSTING. My prawns were pre cooked before and served to me cold! My salad had a random French fry. I told the manager who just gaslit me. The sauce was not lemon butter, I don’t know what the hell that was.

I went in winter , the weather is nice but food is bad , i ordered shimp bryini , its tasteless My wife ordered grilled hamour fish , was acceptable The juice is not made good ,

We enjoyed having apple shisha n snacks here. Mr.Jasim was very kind, helpful, nice, smiling and approachable. He made our day. Appreciate this kind of staff in your restaurant.

A really lovely surprise to find a “new place” for me when my usual nearby restaurant was closed. Excellent food and service. Highly recommended 👍

This is a very nice restaurant in.Doha, loved the food and the quality of the food. Overall the interior and exterior is nice. Their terrace sitting is very nice. Enjoyed the night view with sheesha and quality time with friends. Would love to go again and enjoy other food

Favorite restaurant in souq waqif. Ambience is nice and the staff as well. Special mention for Sampat who always assist me and my friends everytime we visit the place. They’re appetizers are👌and always fresh. Just a bit disappointed that they’re bread are not served hot anymore😟 Will visit soon😊

I have never made a review before but this place calls for it. We were glad to find a lot of vacant space at this restaurant in the middle of souq waqif on a Friday afternoon when all the other restaurants were filled with people. Unfortunately it was too late by the time we discovered why. This was one of the worst services we have experienced in a long time. We ordered 3 course Set Menu dishes. After a long wait of 30+ mins we were served tiny quantities of overpriced average-tasting food that just couldn't fill us up. Some dishes were good. The grilled fish was hard and tasted horrible. The grilled meats and appetizers were good but in very low quantities. The banana split dessert seemed like a joke. All this kept aside, the waiters seemed to be disinterested to serve us. It was a special day for the family and our experience at Bandar group of restaurants ruined it. This used to be a good place once upon a time. I hope they raise their standards.

The service was not up to what we expected, esp now its WC. We needed to follow up for everything, even tissues. Shishtawouk was dry,fries and the biryani were cold..it took almost an hour for the food to arrive and yet all were cold! No garlic sauce nor yogurt given..and the water was given only after we ate..Never coming back for sure!

Less staff on a busy evening so took a while to bring food. However, it was tasty. Fish was better than other dishes I ordered.

Great food but long wait time. You must get them to take your order asap and be prepared to chill out and stay for 2 hours. If you need to eat in less than 1 hour then forget it. You will need to go to the waiter and get your own drinks too, as they are too busy otherwise. Note: this was in the World Cup period, so it was very busy. Maybe less of an issue at other times.

Upon entering the restaurant at this time is disaster, their manpower is not increased, there are lot of table that are not cleaned, it last their for than 1 hour before cleaning it, they told that waiting hour is 1 hour, that is understandable but the waiter keeps on ignoring us and doesn’t want to take orders, waited for 30minutes with out anything 👎🏻 this is super worse!! They could have been prepared by this season. Never coming back!

Over salted soups not fresh. Kebab was just fine.
