Amiri Diwan is a government building located in Doha, the capital city of Qatar. Amiri Diwan is close to the Souk Waquif and museums, gardens, open spaces, leisure squares, and the "Doha Corniche" where the attractions of national commemorative events are celebrated. Nearby is the harbor where you can rent small boats or boats so you don't have to walk far or take a car to get there.

The Amiri Diwan of the State of Qatar is the sovereign body and the administrative office of the Amir. It is the official workplace and office of the Amir of the State of Qatar. The Amiri Diwan represents the figurative and bureaucratic center of Qatar. The building also hosts the office of the Deputy Amir and the Prime Minister.

The site that is currently the Amiri Diwan was previously Al Bidda Fort, built in the 18th century. It was later designated as a military fort called Qal'at Al-Askar during the Ottoman period in Qatar. After the Ottomans withdrew from Qatar, the building became the official office of Qatar's Rulers, and was renamed Doha Palace, also sometimes being known as Qal'at Al-Shouyoukh (Palace of the Sheikhs). The fort was officially renamed to Amiri Diwan in 1971 after Qatar gained its independence from the United Kingdom and the title Amir replaced the title Ruler of the State of Qatar.

The area is surrounded by Public Offices. Just a few steps from here you will get to Souq Waqif and Doha Corniche. A charming panoramic view of Doha Corniche can be easily accessible anywhere from an elevated point over here. Gracias :)

Had Many Visits throughout My work Days few in 2018 and 2019 in Fujita Corporation in Construction of Qatar Metro, even I worked and saw it from so close but still far and never had chance to Ride Metro and also was always fascinated By Amiri Diwan because it's great architecture and heart of Doha and you kinda know what kinda great minds would Sit together there, wish will have a chance to see it from more near and capture it better

The City of Doha, the “Old City” has amazing architecture. This is one of the government buildings, and It’s beautiful. So well lit at night.

Unless youre someone of extreme political significance don't expect to be getting a tour of the inside any time soon. But from what we normal people can see from the outside, its truly an amazing palace. Breathtaking drive around it. A cool mini waterfall too.
