Brand new shiny hotel with good staff but still some issues to work out. The highlight was the location: seconds from the train station and 10 minutes to the old town. Many restaurants very close by and a supermarket next door. There was various maintenance problems in our room (338): the sink leaked, the toilet sink hinge was broken and only one out of three USB ports worked. Was generally clean but found a large number of hairs in the bathroom upon arrival which had obviously been missed by the cleaners. Breakfast was great. Wide choice and everything was tasty.

We stayed for two nights from 27.05.23-29.05.23 Stark contrast at reception - extremely professional receptionist checked us in (and out) and provided us with good local info, a list of restaurants and some good advice ☺️ However, a very rude unfriendly receptionist returned our luggage to us at ~18:00 on Mon 29th. It was as if we had paid our 650€ already therefore she felt no need to be friendly or kind anymore and didn't say a single word to us 😅 Other than that the rooms were modern and quite comfortable and the breakfast was quite good, slightly limited and overpriced for the price point. It was a bit too crowded - the space where the food is set up is a bit tight when the hotel is busy. On the first day of breakfast we went down and were asked our room number, on the second day the same host looked down when we got there and started rustling papers, looked like she was busy so we didn't want to interrupt her, because that is impolite 😅 . So we waited for her to ask us. Then she looked up and angrily said "Helfen Sie mir bitte 😡" We thought that was a nice, welcoming, friendly way to ask us for the room number 😁

I've stayed here a few times for business and always enjoy my stay. Perfect location, clean and modern rooms, staff is always willing to help.

Close to the Train station. Clean room and spacious. Buffet breakfast was very good. Stayed 2 nights on the 7th floor.

My stay at the Courtyard exceeded my expectations on all levels. The staff is welcoming and always ready to help, yet remaining discreet. The room was well furnished and very clean. Everything functioned to the perfection. The bathroom was a dream to use. I appreciated the power outlets at the head of the bed. The bed was large and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really worth it, diverse and complete with lots of fresh products. The coffee is very good too. I ended up eating there every morning. The bar and restaurant area is friendly and a good place to catch up on your email or get some work done. Nice terrace, although you do feel a bit encased in by the neighbouring buildings. Perfect location, next to the railway station and minutes from the town center. Recommended A+++

My dad and I stayed here in July for the wine festival and breakfast was fantastic as well as the location to the wine festival and the church!! Old Town is so beautiful and I love the brüke so much, it was a hero in the heat wave this summer. 🙌 the hotel was very clean and a great stay.

Good hotel, nice rooms, super close to train station. It is a little pricey for Freiburg - if you’re a tourist, try a hotel at the Market square near the church for a bit more authentic feeling, this hotel is def a business hotel

Excellent hotel, clean to perfection, staff friendly, and very helpful. The hotel is the opposite of the station and just a few minutes walks to the old town. Beautiful place, 10/10

My second time around here; great place to stay if you are in Freiburg. It is very close to everything that happens in Freiburg - at least for me 🤗 I think I got the same room as last time and it was little 'dejavu' that's relived. This hotel has about 7 or 8 floors and the rooms are well equipped. I like the uniformity in experience with Mariott Bonvoy. This time around i waited in long line for checking as there were a sudden group of people lined up to check in. It was well managed by the front desk team - having said that I hear that you can avoid this by having their app for checking in using the app for opening the door and checking out...😎. I'll try this next time. I like their breakfast spread, especially the gluten free Muesli and fruits. They don't have a hot stations for making fresh eggs but you do get the scrambled eggs as a standard menu item from the buffet. The food in Germany tastes 1000x fresher that that is in the USA - so I loved what I ate.

Stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing time! The location was perfect, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the shower was to die for. The quality of the breakfast and the drinks at the bar was really good. Our favorite thing was the staff, they were always smiling and ready to help Would definetely recommend! :)

I was positively surprised by the Courtyard by Marriott Freiburg for the following reasons: - Staff very wonderful, very friendly and forthcoming, each and everyone of them - Rooms and any hotel areas were spotless, including gym, bar, etc. - Prices are fair for what you get I will definitely return to this hotel.
