Delicious spice for potatoes that I have never had before. I did not like how I set there and waited for someone to come and attend to me ONLY !!!!!to realize NO YOU ACTUALLY GO AND MAKE AN ODER AT THE TILL ALONE😂😂poor me. Had to learn their ethics in a bad way…on a good day..for the best meal 😜. It would be nice if there is information that informs guests that they are not going to get any service of orders being taken from their 🪑 seats.

If you have been traveling through Germany and you’ve hit that wall where you just can’t face another night of traditional German food, do yourself a favor and eat here. You could open this restaurant in Philadelphia or New York or Chicago and it would be packed every night. Lots of exciting and surprising Asian fusion foods on the menu, but with a local Badisch twist. When we ordered the “sub” on the menu this Pennsylvania girl wasn’t expecting much more than a baguette — but, dear reader, IT WAS A REAL PHILLY SUB ROLL sourced and specially baked for SPICETRAILS. Impressive. Lots of locally sourced fresh vegetables and most surprisingly, a bok choy in my chicken noodle bowl, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before in Germany. The table hot sauce is only moderately spicy for an American, but full of flavor and delicious. The beverage menu is full of delicious local wines and beers. Service is fast and friendly. Prices reasonable. Definitely do yourself a favor and reserve a table here.

The food is great - I've had several vegetarian items on the menu. The "Asian fries" are always a hit with friends I bring along. Wide selection of bottled drinks. My one and only complaint is that because the prices are steep (fine, food is worth it), and you have to order yourself at the front (no table orders), I find it cheeky that the card machine suggests a 10 or 20% service tip up front... Before I've seen any service...

Huge range of vegan-friendly options. Lovely, chilled restaurant, with a great atmosphere. Lovely staff & great venue.

We ended up here unexpectedly after another place was full, but were very pleasantly surprised. We were drawn by the unique menu and the smells of the aromas. The staff was very nice and helpful offering to explain the menu and give some recommendations. In the end, we chose a chicken sub and a 'try them all' combination of salads, which I couldn't recommend enough to anyone who likes exploring new flavour and texture combinations. Overall, a great experience and affordable considering the portion sizes! (4/5 for atmosphere only because we came close to closing time and I can't judge what it is usually like)

we like the place and would recommend it! it's a fusion south Asian style, so don't expect traditional authentic taste, but they are made with a nice mixed flavor and amazing spices. it's very family friendly, and service is very helpful. the young lady explained everything patiently - for a traveling family, all that matters!

Meanwhile I came here three times on three different occasions and different groups of people. Everytime I really enjoyed it here. Staff is very nice and friendly, and happy to help with any questions. On my first visit I had the spicy noodles (I think they're currently off menu). Unfortunately one of the main acts - the beef - was missing at first, but once I raised this with the staff I got delivered five beautifully thick slices of the most tender beef brisket. This elevated the dish to a whole new level and also made the price much more reasonable. I also added the entire provided spicy sauce which have me a good head sweat and no matter what you eat, use the table sambal, it's crazy good. Second time around I had the chicken sub with Asian fries which was loads and delicious. Not sure if I did need those fries as I was super stuffed after. On my last visit I went a bit overboard and ordered the Vietnamese noodles as well as the lamb dumplings. The noodles were delicious and came with a lot of condiments like like, herbs, sauces to season. I poured almost everything in and ended up with a bit too much fish sauce as I would normally like. The lamb dumplings are pretty strongly spiced, not sure if it was cumin or something but I remember one very dominant flavor. The meat filling was also a bit tougher than expected but they were overall pretty tasteful. I recommend not having all four yourself (they're also humongous) but use them as a sharing dish. So overall this is a great place, that constantly works on their menu, dropping and adding dishes with welcoming and attentive staff and delicious food. Price tag is on the higher side for Freiburg but the dishes are complex and surely a lot of work and love goes into them. The service is really bad. The waitress was rude, she was kind of pushing you to give her a tip. The food is salty and expensive and weird tasting!
