Mum
had
a
lump
in
her
breast
for
many
years
without
problems
but
soon
after
having
surgery
to
remove
the
cancer,
the
cancer
spread
everywhere,
causing
her
back,
rib
pain,
and
nausea,
etc…
Box
Hill
Hospital
suggested
to
go
on
a
hormone
treatment,
so
they
gave
her
Letrozole.
When
Letrozole
wasn’t
working
they
told
her
to
take
a
hormone
injection
called
Fulvestrant.
When
she
had
her
third
injection,
her
condition
fell
apart.
Her
red
blood
cell
was
getting
low,
difficulty
breathing,
pain
all
over,
trouble
swallowing,
Slurred
speech,
severe
weakness,
swelling,
dark
urine,
yellow
eyes,
and
skin.
With
all
these
symptoms
you’d
think
the
oncologists
would
do
something
to
fix
the
problems
but
NO…
all
they
do
is
tell
her
to
take
more
morphine
and
offer
no
solutions.
Her
blood
cell
was
dropping
rapidly
so
why
didn’t
they
give
her
a
blood
transfusion
or
something
to
help
her?
She
became
so
weak
because
of
the
lack
of
oxygen
in
her
body.
One
day
she
fell
onto
the
floor
breaking
her
shoulder
trying
to
get
to
the
commode.
Before
an
appointment
with
the
oncologist,
we
always
do
a
blood
test
to
see
how
mum
is
doing.
If
they
read
the
reports
properly
they
would
see
that
her,
liver,
kidney
and
other
organs
were
getting
damaged
from
the
lack
of
oxygen
but
nobody
took
notice
or
did
anything
about
it.
They
look
at
mum
and
think
she
can’t
be
saved
so
don’t
bother.
Mum’s
condition
was
deteriorating
rapidly,
so
we
took
her
to
the
Box
Hill
Hospital.
When
we
got
to
the
emergency
she
was
active
and
talking
but
the
hospital
just
pumped
her
with
heaps
of
morphine
etc…
then
she
stopped
moving
and
talking,
lying
there
sleeping.
Why
don’t
they
listen
to
my
mum
instead
of
shutting
her
up
with
medication?
My
mum
was
screaming
for
water
and
they
just
put
her
to
sleep.
One
day
later
she
passed
away.
The
doctors
just
follow
procedures
and
don’t
think
outside
the
square
to
tailor
treatment
for
individuals.
Once
you
are
categorized
as
palliative,
they
give
up
on
you.
The
doctors
at
the
emergency
unit
were
eager
to
help
mum
at
first
but
once
the
oncologist
labeled
her
as
Palliative,
they
immediately
took
away
her
fluid
bag,
oxygen
tube,
vital
monitors,
etc…causing
her
more
discomfort.
I
secretly
put
her
oxygen
tube
back
in
and
she
became
alive
again
but
when
the
nurse
took
that
away,
she
went
back
to
sleep
motionless.
My
mum
was
the
best.
Kindest,
smartest
mum
in
the
world
and
I
miss
her
very
much.
They
will
not
get
away
with
this.
