I happened to visit this hospital few times because of my family. everytime uts very clean and tidy. staff here is very friendly and welcoming. they do not give you hard time instead try to help you in every possible way. visited pediatric department it was nice and doctors are good. visited maternity baby care department. it was quite nice and clean and staff here was very friendly the only thing is paid parking. I think 1st hour should be free and must be charged starting from 2nd hour.

Will not be using this hospital again. So my OB was great and C section birth of my boy went well. It's the shocking post delivery experience that's really got me disappointed. My boy was delivered via c section on Boxing day 2021. The mid wife who helped with my delivery- I never saw her again because apparently she only works Sundays. So basically I had so many different nurses coming in and out. None of them made the time to teach me how to Breastfeed my baby properly or even how to change a nappy. (Fast forward 5 months later my boy is now on Formula full time which makes me so sad). Nurses were apparently being sent home because 'it wasn't busy' yet here i am struggling to even do the basics for my first born. Seriously it's affected me mentally where I struggle with anxiety on the daily. It's no excuse to blame Covid for your lack of care. I was a private patient paying for a service that wasn't good enough.

My wife has a C Section in this hospital, and the Second night shift manager Clare Richardson was very rude to us. The Infusion systemโ€™s alarm set off very loud, and it scared my wife and baby. My baby started to cried and became very panic, so we pressed the bell and ask for help. It literally took her ten minutes to showed up and when I told me I accidentally pressed the โ€œpausedโ€ button on the machine in order to stop the alarm she asked me โ€œ are you a nurse?โ€ scornfully. When I approached to her nicely and ask for help about the infusion machine, she didnโ€™t gave me any solutions rather than to tell me she will take away the machine without even care about the situation of my wife and asked me to go back to my room. Miss Clare, I donโ€™t know how you got the license to be a nurse, whoever issued you the certificate should be shamed and regretted. And no, Iโ€™m not the nurse, Iโ€™m a lawyer, and I will do whatever I can to make you pay for your carelessness and unprofessional behavior. To all the people who can read my review, this is a nice place and easy to park your car, but please try your best to avoid the Nurse/Manager Clare Richardson.

WORST RECEPTIONIST. The receptionist in this private practice is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have been a receptionist myself and I have honestly never experienced something this horrible and disgusting. Initially when I first went to the clinic to visit a family member and witnessed how rude she was, I thought she was just having a bad day but itโ€™s just the other way around and itโ€™s her sole mission in life to ruin other peoples days. But her rude and unprofessional behaviour is consistent. She lashes out on the phone with patients. And she speaks to the patients in the clinic in the most condescending way. She also laughs and talks down other patients and visitors with the other receptionists next to her. Racially profiling my family and saying itโ€™s โ€œYOUโ€ people who ruin this hospital and complaining about us over the phone to your colleagues while weโ€™re talking to you face to face is quite laughable and evident of your lack of social skills and experience in this industry. If youโ€™re reading this and you know exactly who you are, I advise you find an alternative career pathway where your โ€œskillsโ€ are more needed. Shocking that the hospital sees all these negative reviews on the same receptionist and hasnโ€™t handled the situation yet. Appalling!

I was an inpatient in the maternity ward for the delivery of my first baby. I cannot state enough how incredible the staff were in caring for not only me and my baby, but my partner through what could have been a very harrowing time - but the staff and facilities made it a lot easier. I am generally a tough marker when it comes to things - particularly in relation to health - but our stay at Northpark was comfortable, we were well looked after by quite possibly the loveliest health care workers on the planet, the facilities were great and the food was (this sounds silly, I know) incredible - definitely not hospital food. Private health insurance meant that the bill for our stay was just over $800 for 7 days - and I have a $500 excess - including paediatric care, a c section and partner staying for the full duration. Cannot recommend highly enough, and although I would highly recommend anyone having a baby to consider Northpark Private as a delivery option, I believe they're scaling down their maternity unit in favour of a psych ward - a real shame given the outstanding quality of maternal care on offer.

Reception staffs were nice enough. But doctor that I met was not. She received phone calls twice whilst consultant. Why do I need to pay for her when she is dealing with her own business:( And I did not feel like she really cares about me. She did not give me any advice or plan before I asked for. Doctor should realize if patients pay few hundreds dollars for seeing them. Not worth. I would rather go to public hospital near my house. I will mention it to my GP doctor so GP doctor does not recommend her to other patients.

Reception staff- Day surgery area- Monday 7th Aug 2023 Yesterday I witnessed whilst dropping my Mother of day surgery the attitude of one reception/ clerk in the day surgery area (black hair with tattoos) you made it quite clear you didn't want to be there! I witnessed you being rude to my mother, but also every patient and family member who came in. Your body language was absolutely pathetic and so disrespectful to everyone. People are obviously quite anxious to be having any procure and being meet with your attitude what make anyone extra stressed/ upset. You need to remember people are paying a lot of money to come to this PRIVATE hospital. I work in the public health and have never witnessed someone be so disrespectful. Not one person was rude to you, but you went out of your way to be the most unwelcoming person I have come across in a while.

Good luck getting the consulting suites to answer the phone. Worst part is, they send you appointment confirmation less than 24hrs beforehand (that's what happened to me) and so it was impossible to reply N to cancel it if you need to. I'll be waiting an hour on the phone before I give up and hang up. Even the receptionists at the actual hospital tried to get me through to 3 different numbers to no avail. It's absolutely ridiculous. Call any time of the day and odds are no one will answer. Infuriating. When I have been there in person they've been lazy and they are not knowledgeable. Once, I checked in, after like an hour and a half noticed people who came after me were going in before me. Long story short, the doctor blamed the receptionist saying they didn't check me in, and the receptionist blamed the doctor saying she didn't look. Instead of blaming each other, why don't the lot of you do your job. "Our patients come first" - I beg to differ.

It's more like a cheap, run-down motel in need of some serious repairs. The psychiatric ward is a joke. No one could care less about a patients safety especially where there is a risk of self harm. There were only a couple of nurses who gave you some of their time to actually listen to your struggles with depression. To the others, it was just a job. I felt like a patients well being came second to profits. It's just another business in the end.

My first visit at Northpark private hospital in Bundoora was unfortunately awful. I was expecting welcoming staff and for things to flow easily but it was the opposite. First of all it is very stressful to find parking in their car park. Quite a few of the reception staff seem very unhappy and asking them a question seems to be an inconvenience for them. This was in multiple areas in the hospital. Obviously not all staff were like this but more than usual definitely. I got the feeling very quickly that there is a negative workplace culture. Like i know Covid has stressed people out but during the lockdowns i visited the Mercy Hospital in Heidelberg many times and they were all so lovely and welcoming/helpful. I was so surprised at this private hospital. I was sitting down for a moment to breastfeed my son and i had 2 staff members criticizing another staff member in the hallway. The paediatrician was good and helped me with my son. She sent me down to pathology to give my sons sample to Azmat (an employee working in the pathology area at the time) to send to the lab. After waiting 10min at the counter with a 5 month old, Azmat came out once and disappeared just as quickly as he looked at me. A patient waiting advised me to approach him as he does not come out often. From the moment I met him I was just a problem to him. He has a very muffled voice which is made worse with the mask. He would just start talking to me without eye contact. I had to ask him multiple times to repeat himself and his repeating himself incorporated an awful attitude. He complains constantly about the paediatrician and what she had advised me to do and he stated he did not have a fridge or a freezer to keep sample there (which is super weird for a pathology collection area) And I need to take a container home and collect a sample fresh. Use my freezer and return the sample to the hospital. Now I have a 5 month old. It is not super easy to do this. I offered him solutions and he knocked each one down. I just felt as if he just wanted to make my life harder. It would be a good idea for management to talk to Azmat in the pathology area; as it is unacceptable to try and make others miserable because you're unhappy with everything around you. Am I looking forward to my revisit, no... I intend to get in and get out as soon as possible.

I called up the consultant area and spoke the Marie to get in for an appointment with my psychiatrist and everytime she answers the phone she is so disrespectful and makes things very difficult to book a consultation with my doctor. This time i had called to make an appointment, She answers and is already disrespectful making it very hard to organise a appointment. i had told her i can do anytime before 3 as i work in the afternoons. She tells me what times but unfortunately i cannot do, So i had asked if there was any times around 11-2pm any day and she laughed at me very obnoxiously and was so disgusting and disrespectful when she had said โ€œiโ€™m sorry but i am trying to work around you.โ€ She is so disrespectful everytime i call up, she has made me feel like i can never book an appointment and makes me feel so uncomfortable and upset afterwards. I have had enough of being so disrespected everytime i call and she answers. MY ADVICE! - Do not work as a receptionist in an environment where your answering calls for people who are struggling with mental health and are in need for an appointment with there psychiatrist. Us who come in to see our doctors are struggling already and for you to be so rude and obnoxious makes us not want to come in at all. I am disgusted.

Wouldn't recommend this place to any one. This guys worry only about your money and nothing else. I paid nearly $400 for Dr Simon Purser who is apparently an experienced Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor. Say the truth he does look experienced, but his attitude towards patient overrides everyting , pretty ignorant . Be aware this guys will end up requesting unnecessary tests ( did to us ) to charge you as much as possible. DOCTORS REMEMBER YOU GAVE OATH of HIPPOCRATES to help people not rob them .

Very friendly and helpful staff members. They understood our needs and provided with necessary information. Even though we have to pay a fee around $500 or bit more as we donโ€™t have Medicare. It is worth it. My husband and I were welcomed without any hesitation. Great place for people who doesnโ€™t have Medicare. Highly recommend here. Less crowded and you can get checked by Doctors without a long wait.

Unfortunately I had a poor birth experience at NPH in December 2021, that was entirely preventable and purely based on staff error and miscommunication between hospital staff. In a time where you are paying for and expect to be treated with compassion and courtesy i was made to feel embarrassed and spoken to in a condescending tone before being turned away from the hospital while in labour. the short version...Staff didn't do any checks on me to see how far dilated I was, checked my last OB report which stated I was fully effaced and already dilating, stayed with me during a contraction or even ask me about my pain. My baby was born less than 3 hours later without any pain relief, as it was too late. I endured my contractions and waters breaking in public (humiliating), feeling totally helpless and unsafe. This is one experience but it is mine. I know of others who have had great births here. My OB and aftercare in the hospital was great but the birth experience horribly traumatic.

I would've easily given 5 stars if not for the most rudest, racist receptionists in the hospital. All the doctors, nurses and other staff members were extremely helpful and polite except for those people at the front desk. Please offer them better training on simple manners such as smiling with your customers at least when they smile regardless of their skin colour.

My mother in law just got transferred out of Northpark after a knee replacement. I have to say we were both absolutely disgusted. My mother in law has lost 3kg in not even a week as the food was that bad it was inedible. Food was always cold, partly frozen or looked like something the dog just brought up. For a private hospital I think there needs to be an overview of the food and practices here

To the rude and condescending receptionist, no, I am not Nathan. I called up and notified Northpark that the number was wrong back when they sent me his confidential information. If you are too sensitive to hear words being used in a nondirect and nonconfrentational way, try listening rather than cutting people off when they are trying to tell you that you have the wrong number and keep your racist opinions to yourself.

in 2021 i saw a psychatrist a few times expressed to him i wanted to end my life which he replied telling me to call life line I left balling my eyes out each time then had to pay hundreds of dollars. I tried to admit myself to the hospital they said he would evaluate me in my session i expressed to him I was going to end my life and cried he again said call lifeline or the triage. when i left I nearly did but my boyfriend found me and picked me up. I got a call later of him asking if I wanted to come to hospital (obviously they didnt communicate that) which i said yes even though I was mad since I could have been dead if it werent for my bf. When I went to the psych ward the food was awful full of oil and bad food. They kept giving me a medication I told them was making me worse didnt stop until I started losing sight in one eye then ended up on 3 antidepressants at once as well as tms treatment not knowing I had bipolar causing mania. I was in a room with a fly infestation in the bathroom for most of my stay (probably 2 weeks) I didnt use the bathroom for an entire day one day because I was scared of the flies and they didnt move me till an amazing nurse came in to see me crying because i hadnt eaten for over 24 hrs or gone to the bathroom because I was scared to leave my room. I think its disgusting a private hospital did this to me and complete negligence. it was also in covid lockdown and when covid broke out in the hospital they told me I could stay and be alone for 2 weeks or leave so I left whilst still in a manic state and unsafe with no check up after. cannot recommend. The only good thing was the inpaitent programs and psychologist I had. Bad psychatrist expirences more than once which is why I switched to a different hospital.

I had my baby in North park private last week, and was extremely happy with the service, the staff, the care provided. The nurses are extremely professional and very caring , the head unit manager of the nursing staff Lynn was God sent for me, highly experienced, gave her time despite being extremely busy . The anesthesist was Dr John Zois, he was the best person to do this procedure, he explained everything so well and very understanding and gentle hands. The obsetrician was Dr Latika Cilly, couldn't have asked for someone else , she is caring , approachable, friendly , throughout my pregnancy journey she was just a mesg or call away, would respond asap.i would feel at ease the minute I saw her face.I would highly recommend her . During my C section, I loved how evryone in the theater was not only caring and professional also funny and friendly ,they made me laugh through my anxiety and panic attacks. Also the meals at the hospital are not exactly like tasteless hospital bland food, me n husband enjoyed their menu very much. Would highly recommend this hospital for maternity services.

Unfortunately i fell through my fathers roof, long story short, it was around 6pm and i definitely didn't want to sit around and wait in a public hospital. The injuries i sustained, i felt were insignificant, but everyone around me was wondering why i hadn't seeked any medical attention. Was in and out within the hour. The staff were absolutely fantastic, remained professional and were able to have a giggle about the injuries. I would, weirdly, visit again.

Contacted by telephone to check they were taking referrals for paediatric reviews from our address. Was assured they were and likely wait time would be around 5 months to February 2024.. Got GP referral and emailed in October. No response so received so confirmed receipt by phone and was advised weโ€™d be given an appointment soon. In January emailed to check when appointment likely to be and advised that they would not accept referral and were sending back to GP. This has delayed paediatric review significantly to have a three month wait for nothing. Disappointing communications and processes.

    - my IV drip was not functioning throughout my labour. It was only identified when my blood pressure had crashed and I was losing consciousness at 10cm with a baby in distress. No checks were done during labour. - the bed that was provided was faulty. The left side stirrup was broken and would frequently collapse during child birth. - my newborn came out purple and not breathing. When additional staff finally arrived (after midwife repeatedly pressed alarm waiting for urgent assistance) they were unable to commence care as medical equipment from the room was missing. My otherwise healthy baby during pregnancy was almost no more because of the departments lax maintenance and procedures. It has been two months since I enquired in to a review of my stay and the department has chosen to ignore my email despite head office administration trying to follow through.

In-patient: Great service, competent staff & Doctor. Consultation: Long waits at front desk. In-patient Billing: excess charged. Second instance within family of being charged in excess and refunded when raised. Worth checking your billing both health provider and out-of-pocket than overlooking it.

I have just spent two nights here after a major plastic surgery. All of the staff at the hospital were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and respectful. The nursing staff were fantastic and so very helpful whilst I was very vulnerable. I was a long way from home and spent the majority of my stay alone but never felt that way. It was a very comfortable stay with all the amenities I could have hoped for. I would recommend this hospital to anyone and would like to say a very big thank you to you all.

This is going to be dark but I wish to express my gratitude. Yesterday on July 1st a YouTuber I watched named Technoblade has passed away due to stage 4 cancer. I heard the news while visiting this hospital and I was shocked with the response of the staff when I immediately broke down. I was in tears covered in snot and sobbing my absolute heart out. A sweet nurse and doctor comforted me while being on their break and the cafe staff whom I ordered a small milkshake off of had instead given me a large and his comfort. I am a mere stranger but the people here still took the time to comfort me anyway. I have lost my beloved hero but I did not lose my faith in humanity thanks to the kindness of the people here. Thank you so much please keep working hard.

Spent 2.5 weeks at NorthPark Hospital surgical ward due a multi fracture of my ankle requiring multiple surgery (private room) Nurses were extremely knowledgeable, professional and caring. I had a clinical incident last week and went straight to the ED of Northpark. The staff are very welcoming, I was immediately saw by the ED Doctor and told me that my case is better handled by larger hospitals so he asked me to present myself to either Austin, Cabrini or Epworth. I could not recall the names of the nurses on duty but they were so nice! They offered everything they can to make my situation bearable. They even gave me a free parking pass so I wonโ€™t have to worry about my car and just get it when Iโ€™m discharged to my hospital of choice. Thanks so much guys! I hope I can thank you again in person.

Please Help! "Call Amnesty International".. I'm an Inpatient (prisoner) in Northpark Private Hospital and it's like I'm in Solitary Confinement in Prison. Prisoners have more rights, get exercise, are allowed visitors and receive decent food. I have been told that juice, newspapers, snacks, sandwiches, breakfast, dinner can be brought in and left at reception by family and friends. If my family could even do that, why should they, when we are paying close to $1,000 per night? My Mental Health is being seriously degraded by Confinement and ridiculous treatment. Please see below, photos of food that Northpark promote on their website, versus the reality on 2nd photo.

I recently was a patient at Northpark Private Hospital Surgical Ward after sustaining multiple fractures. I must say, the level of care and attention provided by the nurses and staff was exceptional. They were always attentive, responsive, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Another pleasant surprise was the quality of the food. The meals were delicious, well-balanced, and catered to my dietary requirements. It made my recovery process much more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Northpark Private Hospital Surgical Ward. The attentive nurses and good food made my experience as a patient much more bearable.

The staff were lovely but they booked me into a check up appointment when I was a first time client. After spending $90 on a uber at 8pm on a week night, I find out the Dr couldn't see me and had to rebook my appointment a month later. Do yourself a favor and please call them and double check all your appointments here before attending!

Give yourself 15-20 minutes to once you get through to the receptionist, she's painfully slow and needs to explain EVERYTHING to you, including how they will send you an email with all the details she's just spent 20 minutes explaining to you in a very patronising manner. She kept calling me the wrong name too.

Dr Sam Asadi is an Excellent psychiatrist, make me feel happy & safe when chatting & after my consult. He will find the right diagnosis without over medicating. I always look forward to my monthly appointments. Also, the women in reception are very nice & friendly & always willing to help.

Went for an appointment on the 1st floor yesterday, to see Dr Anita Singh and was standing there for a good 20 minutes waiting for one of the receptionists to see me to say i was there, was totally ignored and that wasn't the half of it. I went in to see the Dr which was less than the me waiting then to pay and was totally ignored by the same receptionist and they only had 2 on and then had the nerve to say oh it just got busy out of no where, WELL call for someone else to help there were 4 receptionists. 2 were doing something else but could see it was busy yet they did nothing. Need to be more organized. And better system. To top it all off i'm 33 weeks pregnant women and thought id sit down and wait for the line to die down a bit but still ended up waiting.

Fantastic hospital, both children were born here and the midwives and staff have been amazing both times. They genuinely care for their patients and took the time to show us everything from changing nappies, to bathing to showing my wife how to breastfeed. Best maternity hospital in Melbourne

I had day surgery 17th August 2022.The staff were fantastic. The nurses went through the procedure thoroughly and kept me informed all the way and stayed with me the whole time. They even rung me today to see how I was after the operation. I would recommend this hospital to everyone

On my recent trip to the Northpark Private Hospital, I was attended to by MOST EXCELLENT team of Dr. Mary-Ann, and Nurses Ange and Simon (Andrew came on near the end and helped out as well). Also a Lab Tech whose named escapes me at the moment; aaand a receptionist named Jennifer, I think. I visited the ER on Sunday due to what I thought was a mysterious case of food poisoning or a possibly inflamed appendix (even the attending Dr. thought the latter might be a possibility). ALL of the aforementioned folks attended my case in a professional, expeditious and compassionate manner. Ange got me settled in and took down all the info; Simon hooked me up to my new friend, a Saline drip (those things are great!); and Dr. Mary-Ann (confronted with a patient who was both a work-in-progess ---constantly working on deconstructing his body, apparently -- and a clear case of ADHD) took on the puzzle of my predicament and solved it faster than you can say "Dr. House is in the ER!" The gentleman running things in the Lab (CT scan) was likewise helpful and kind, and the receptionist booked me in and out in a timely and helpful fashion. And, most importantly, Dr. Mary-Ann & crew seemed to have solved my (now -- with hindsight -- self evident) problem. And sent me on my way to a healthier lifestyle. Can't ask for more than that!

DOESNT HAVE A ON SITE CHEMIST What's the point of a PRIVATE! hospital if they have to call the family and get them to bring medication in for their loved one On top of that the one day my mother is able to visit, visiting hours don't start until 5:00pm. Are you serious

I had a day surgery at Northpark and was very happy with the service and care provided. Dr Ernest Lim and anaesthesiologist Kate Barrett were excellent and staff present and friendly.

I had a day surgery last week which entailed an overnight stay, I was highly impressed by the professionalism and care given to me by all of the staff, frm reception to discharge, nothing was too much trouble. The nurses do an extremely good job facing all aspects of patients needs. I would definitely recommend them.

I used the maternity ward for the delivery of my baby. Midwives were fantastic, food was good, rooms were clean and comfortable. I would recommend the Northpark maternity ward.

I sought a prescription change due to major shortages of my medication, and after a 5 minute phone appointment was charged full price for a consultation. Despite making it clear I was suffering from financial difficulties and asking to have the payment extended, the charge was taken out of my account WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE and I only discovered this fact when I attempted to pay my rent and was unable to do so. Completely vile, unprofessional if not CRIMINAL behaviour if you truly wish to be a mental health professional have some care and consideration when dealing with vulnerable individuals in extreme situations

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I just finished taking my dad here, he had to get two teeth removed. Debra the nurse was so lovely and caring, she made my dad feel right at home. I couldnโ€™t recommend her enough. ๐Ÿ˜  The worst hospital. ๐Ÿ˜  Will definitely never come to casey emergency ever again! Rather drive to Frankston! ๐Ÿ˜  Do not have your baby here. There are many other hospitals to choose your maternal care with, and I don't believe Box Hill Hospital as the right choice. I left feeling very uncared for and my stay there was quite a lot. Lots of drips not checked nor working correctly, no care while I was recovering...
