Amazing work of nature. Scenic view with nice ocean breeze. Definitely do not regret here despite the distance in the freezing cold weather 🤭 Recommend all around the area to come admire the nature before climate change happens. Even if you’ve been here before, each time you come if will be a different view due to the work of nature.

Beautiful place, has an information Centre with a small cafe, good parking (can be crowded - take care of you are directed to the small road that leads to the helipad. you will experience 7km of gravel road and 12 km of detour in total). We were there early and enjoyed the view from the platform. The path to the platform is nice and easy, you will need 5minutes maybe. They have a coin press, which is excellent as we are collecting those from all over the world. No parking or entry fee

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING AND STUNNING. There is a reason why this is hailed as one of Australia’s 7 wonders. I was filled with emotions the moment I saw this place. Words cannot describe how amazing this place looks but numbers can 5/5. I also had the experience to ride the helicopter ride in the area was able to experience the full view of the Great Ocean Road. Unfortunately, there are only 9 apostles left (during the time of writing this review). Better visit it now before the other apostles erode. You will definitely not regret going to this place. The roads leading to this place and the destination itself is just a thing of beauty.

Have been here in Summer and Winter and enjoyed watching sunset both times. Try to enjoy your moment by the naked eye just embracing the ambience without looking through the lenses of a camera all the time. It can be very windy & chilly no matter what season so make sure you are ruggedup. Would reccomend staying over and avoid the scenic route upon your return in the evening. You don't get fuel stations past 7pm on great oean road, so make sure your tank is full.

The scenic drive via great ocean road was just amazing .Plan to visit during sunset to have a great view. Ample parking is available, and it's just a short walk from car park.

This is the most memorable trip in Australia. I drove 3 hours+ to get there. The view is stunning and it was very cold due to the rain. I would have enjoyed it so much more if the weather was good. As one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, it’s definitely a must to visit. You won’t regret it. For drivers who aren’t very experience; i will recommend to you to take the internal road to here. As for the more experienced and adventurous drivers, take the great ocean and scenic road there. Oh man. I really hoped it didn’t rain that day, as there were several locations I’ve yet to visit when I was there. Be sure to be warmly dressed when going there on winter, as the wind is super chilling and strong. The sight is something unforgettable . I will love to visit it again sometime in 2023 winter!

One of Melbourne's top attractions, I visited in April when the weather was warm with a few clouds, creating a beautiful backdrop. The massive rock formations, shaped by the relentless waves and weather, are not only enormous but also boast stunning, ever-changing colors as the sun moves across the sky. It's truly a breathtaking sight.

I met at AM7:30 at meeting point in Melbourne and departed by tour bus, stopping at several famous places along the way, and were lucky to see koalas at the one of stopping point. Since it was such a long distance, I had lunch at Apollo Bay (the guide recommended a few famous places. 1 hour stopping). I were lucky to have nice weather and sunshine, but it was very windy place. It's a great place to take pictures of your life, but there were so many people that it wasn't easy to take pictures comfortably. Arrived in Melbourne at 8:20 PM and spent the day as is, but it was not a disappointing day.

Won't waste your time telling you how wonderful this place is, there are literally 10,000 reviews saying it already and it's true! This park has been a bucket list item of ours for years. We started the day with a helicopter tour to take in the whole scene and also to decide where we wanted to hike. There are dozens of places to explore, some more common than other, some a bit close to the cliffs and it's up to you not to die. We did a mix of common things and "off the beaten path" things. Plan to spend an entire there taking in 3 or 4 or 5 "hikes" to get a feel of the place. Words and pictures can not describe this place..

12 Apostles is definitely a wonder of Australia. Great ocean tour final destination is this place for one day trip. Rocks stand like pillars from beach. 12 rocks were named as 12 apostles but over the years they are eroded and seven only i could see. May be if you choose helicopter ride you can see few more but definitely not 12. Anyways its a beautiful place and must visit place in Melbourne tour. 250kms great ocean tour travel leads to this beautiful place n its really worth the wait. This place is very very cold due to heavy winds. Definitely you need to have jerkin n head cover. Guys damn chilling it was, dont go underwater prepared. You can get down via Gibson steps n reach beach. I couldn’t do as tour operator didn’t give more time. Overall a excellent tourist place.

This is one of the most visited attractions in Victoria and it is an amazing place to be. You can get here within 3 hours from Melbourne city if you take the highway, but I suggest to take the Great Ocean Road route, as you will never regret the extra 1-2 hours spent on the road.

The Twelve Apostles are collections of limestone stacks off the shore of Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. It took nearly 3 hours drive to get there. But the view is magnificent, and as time goes by, they will vanish one by one. Therefore, you better seize the time! Furthermore, the Twelve Apostles are located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Maar peoples.

The Twelve Apostles is a stunning natural rock formation located along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Despite the name, there were never actually twelve stacks – erosion has led to the gradual collapse of some of them.

This is a long one day visit from Melbourne on some very winding roads. But the journey is worth it! Outstanding views with the road following the ocean for miles. Be sure to take a break in Apollo Bay.

  • 5/5 Dr. Tanveer A. 6 months ago on Google
Very beautiful natural wonder. They are gradually eroding so you will not find the old big apostles. You will see 7-8 apostles. The beaches nearby are clean and low sloping. Ample parking with toilets. There is a souvenir shop and you will find some coffee.

My third visit to the Twelve Apostles along the Great Ocean Road was my luckiest yet, with clear skies and brilliant sunshine. The Twelve Apostles remain as awe-inspiring as ever, and the well-maintained kiosks and visitor center offer valuable maps and information about the famous sights along the Great Ocean Road. I'd recommend all visitors to arrive in the morning for the best lighting. Additionally, they provide free restrooms and ample parking, making it a convenient and enjoyable stop along this iconic route.

First time despite only living 2 hours away. Well worth the trip. Amazing views 👏. Can get super windy and fresh despite the weather being warm so watch your hat and maybe bring a jacket. Not super well marked when you drive there as you park away from the beach and there is a walkway under the road to the lookout which is a great idea. Could do with better signs. Bathrooms avamible but the gift shop is expensive and very basic food only. Really needs a Cafe. Despite all this the views are all worth it

Impressive.  It gets all the fame and while I don't believe it's not the best thing on the Great Ocean Road, but you have to stop here, otherwise why are you even doing the Great Ocean Road? There is good sized car park, restrooms, and cafe.  The walk to the viewing areas is pretty short and pram accessible. The Apostles are bigger in person than you think.  On a good sunny day, it's very nice sights.  It was a weekday in late fall and it was busy, so if during peak season it will probably be slammed.  Plan to spend about 1hr in total (to include bathroom breaks, casual time at viewing, and stopping in gift shop), though if on a tight schedule you can walk to the sights check it out and be back in your car in 25 mins.

Great place to stop and see the Wonder of the twelve apostles. It's very busy with many tourists even during the week but still worth a visit nonetheless. Only the shop closes at 5pm but you can still see the twelve apostles after this time.

Beautiful scenic location, my friends and I came out here as the ultimate destination for our full day road trip from Melbourne. Highly recommend it if you love natural scenery and coastlines. We ended up doing the helicopter tour which was totally worth it for the best view. On our visit the gift shops and etc were closed so plan ahead with snacks and etc as there aren’t a ton of places nearby or on site. We were there on Friday, Nov 24, 2023 and the weather seemed terrible on the drive down (pouring rain suddenly) but thankfully it cleared right up by the time we arrived and it was gorgeous to see.

  • 5/5 Jonathan Nicholas Y. 4 months ago on Google
Well-maintained tourist destination and attraction. Some might argue that it is not worth it to travel so far from Melbourne just to see a few limestone formations of the coast, so do take note of that. I personally enjoyed it. If you enjoy a good road trip, the scenic route heading to Twelve Apostles via Great Ocean Road adds to the entire experience as well.

  • 5/5 Colin G. 4 months ago on Google
One of the Great attractions in this part of the world. They are extending the walkway. When they finish, there will be great views to the West and the East. I will be coming back for that.

  • 5/5 Anthony F. 4 months ago on Google
We wish we could have seen more, but are glad we drove the ~3 hours from Melbourne to see what we did. There is plenty of parking for RVs and cars above the visitor center. The walk to the viewing are is flat and paved and very short. The wind is strong and makes it comically difficult to take a picture and was much cause for fun and laughter. The closest thing that could be complained about are the gobs of tourists, myself included (let's be honest, I'm an American, we are obnoxious just for existing). Included a picture of the other popular areas on the map in case you want help planning your trip.

We went early November, on the Monday of the Melbourne cup long weekend. The car park is huge and caters for motorhomes and the disabled. There's a visitors centre and it seems like people walk along a path that goes under the Great Ocean Road, towards the cliff. We will never know because, in spite of there being such a large car park, there were no spaces left. We had to drive on. It's a shame we could only go during that long weekend, I know the twelve apostles are an amazing sight. Our visitors from the UK were impressed with other rocky islands a little farther along.

Crowded people, very good place management. Nice walkway, interesting information boards, interesting plants all along the side of the walkway, but some trash issues. Why is it full of rude tourists? Never mind. The scenery is worth seeing once in a lifetime. It would be better to come here on a sunny and cloudless day, I love this place so much and want to come back.

A must visit when touring the state of Victoria. Take the scenic route as every aspect is beautiful. You can never get enough pictures of this place. Mindful tips: - Check the weather conditions before traveling. - Layer up and carry warm clothes if visiting im winter. The winds can be chilly. - They have helicopter rides available too. - Start early as it is a long drive from the city. Ideal to break the trip over two days. Staying in Apollo bay / Lorne is nice for that.

Good facilities and walking tracks. Some observation desks are being upgraded so are closed at the moment. Will be great once completed. Still great views of the coastline.

  • 5/5 Robert Kley L. 2 years ago on Google
Breathtaking views! The walk is worth it, I recommend stopping at the first car park and walking along the beach. It is a pretty steep descend but totally worth it, specially if you want to take pictures.

  • 5/5 Deanna F. 1 year ago on Google
Breathtaking is the only word for this place! The whole ocean road is amazing, but during my visit to Austraila I went here twice I loved it so much (even though we were staying over near Cranbourne). It was well worth the drive! Pictures will not do this place justice! The beautiful blue ocean meeting the Golden colored sand is such a beautiful contrast. It was pretty crowded when we went which was November, however the crowd was manageable and I was still able to rake some beautiful pictures without hordes of people in it. The path is paved which is nice for wheelchair accessibility and the views are a short walk from the parking area. I guess some pillars have collapsed already into the sea. Also as you do this drive please stop at the other attractions as well. This coastline is amazing. It reminds me of Highway 1 along California near big sur.

Great Victorian attraction and well worth seeing! Good accessibility via the boardwalk and paths. Plenty of car parks and public toilets. The stacks of limestone (particularly on the larger ‘apostles’) are extraordinary.

once in a lifetime experience. you must do the great Ocean road drive to complete this international treasure hunting experience. we are little bit late to reach there . but its okay we saw a beautiful sunset over there..

If you are going there for the first time, follow the GPS and stop at Twelve Apostles lookout rather than the steps lookout which takes you down here (refer pics). Worth visiting both the lookouts. It is beautiful and sunset is amazing

  • 5/5 Arun C. 1 year ago on Google
We enjoyed the scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road to get to 12 Apostles. Currently, some observation areas are closed for upgrades. But, once completed, it will be great. Coastal views are still fantastic. 12 Apostles platforms are one of the best lookouts in Melbourne. The view and vibe from the top were amazing. This Victorian attraction is well worth a visit. There are plenty of parking spaces and public restrooms.

  • 5/5 Brenton H. 1 year ago on Google
One of my favourite spots in Victoria to watch the sunset. If you have the flexibility of choosing what time in the day to come, aim to arrive about 20minutes before the sun sets and you won't be disappointed. Easy to access, plenty of parking. Only negative is the visitor centre will be shut if you're coming at sunset but toilets still available to use.

  • 5/5 Chris G. 1 year ago on Google
This was an amazing experience we enjoyed the scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road to get to 12 Apostles.. wonderful one should always visit the place.. Watching the artistic carvings of mother nature on the lime stones of that part was amazing. You will be blown away, not only by the strong winds, but by the beauty of the erosion. it's like heaven on earth.. I highly recommend everyone should visit this place at least once in their life.. there are helicopter services if you want to have a view from above.. otherwise this nice place is free for visitors.. there are nice walks around the place which you should not miss..

Amazing! thats the word I can think about of twelve apostles. We arrived just in time before sunset over. We took great ocean road from Melbourne and only had 2 stops along the way just for 10-15min each. we only had time for day trip thus we were in hurry but it was worth the trip. to get more experience along the great ocean road, I suggest to have 2 days trip. We’ll be back for sure!

I always dreamed to visit this scenic place in port Campbell. This is the best part of our trip to Victoria. Endless oceans and 12 apostles looked amazing. Breathtaking views from the top and has guide maps in between the places. We really enjoyed our scenic 5 hours drive from Melbourne city to this place and this is really worth the wait. Id highly recommend everyone to visit this wonderful spot in Victoria. A must visit place in VIC. This is going to be a memorable experience for me.

I wish we were there on any other day. It was so cold, windy and raining. We couldn’t enjoy the place but I an sure it would be a very nice experience otherwise. When coming from Melbourne, I suggest to drive through the ocean drive one way and go in land the other way. Best if you can plan a night stay somewhere near to this place as it gets hectic with a long drive back to Melbourne on the same day. would love to be back when the weather is better.

  • 5/5 Jess Q. 11 months ago on Google
Being local, I am always surprised by their beauty each and every time I visit. Not once would I say I have been disappointed. Even if there are bus loads of tourists there is enough room to not feel imposed upon. Toilets are always clean. Easy enough for parking. Ample disabled parking. Just beautiful, even in the cooler months.

  • 5/5 Rashid A. 1 year ago on Google
One of the best lookouts of Melbourne. Totally loved the view and vibe from the top. If you are visiting Melbourne then definitely keep this place on your checklist. There are few other lookouts nearby

  • 4/5 Basanta S. 10 months ago on Google
The drive down there is amazing. Looks stunning with the formations. It was not much of a hype for me to begin with so it was a good spot for a view.

  • 5/5 Christine B. 1 year ago on Google
Be prepared for lots of tourists if you visit in the afternoon. The views are breathtaking, definitely one of the most iconic spots in Victoria. The cafe and shop has limited souvenir and drink options, so plan your food ahead of time.

  • 5/5 MONISH S. 10 months ago on Google
Best scenic place. A helicopter ride is must which is near to this place. Out of 12 only 7 are visible. It is heavily windy place. With sun this place looks amazing.

The Twelve Apostles Lookout is not only a significant natural landmark but also a symbol of Australia’s natural beauty, drawing millions of visitors each year to marvel at its grandeur and splendor. Originally, there were twelve stacks, hence the name, but due to natural erosion over time, only seven of them remain. These towering limestone formations are an iconic sight and a testament to the power of nature’s forces. It is a famous tourist attraction located on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. It offers breathtaking views of the Twelve Apostles, which are a collection of limestone stacks standing tall in the Southern Ocean.
