We ate dinner here one night of our stay at the hotel. The service was great - our waitress was Annie and she was lovely, so helpful. We had the wine pairings with our meal and she was great at explaining them briefly and serving them promptly. I had the haddock kiev to start which was amazing, followed by hake which was good too. I'm not a dessert person but they were very good here - especially loved the tirami-choux.

I only came for a few drinks. The bar was great. Good atmosphere great service. The bar staff were efficient, polite and helpful. Good selection of drink to choose from. Lots of rooms just to sit in and relax by a fire. Very nice. I'd like to come back again and maybe stay a night try the spa, meal etc.

Delicious! I recommend the monkfish. The chocolate desert is very good (very chocolatey so you must love chocolate).

I was blown away by the food. We ate at Dax (highly rated) in Dublin recently and this was better. Really creative dishes, delicious ingredients and beautifully presented. Excellent and friendly staff. Our German waiter gave us great wine recommendations.

If you can find the time to get here, the food is as wonderful as the castle itself. The service and customer care is tremendous.

Food is absolutely superb. Fine dining at it's best and very adequate. Three courses were more than enough. Fillet steak is the best ever as is the duck. Service is also top notch.

It is getting tougher to find true fine dining experiences these days, where you expect to dress up and be pampered with great food and expert service. Cedars Grill was a pleasant surprise in this regard. We were treated like VIPs from the moment we walked in, and our every need was attended to. I was worried that we would overpay for tiny portions (the pictures on this site gave rise to this concern), but the food was high quality and portions were appropriate. We very much enjoyed our dining experience!

My husband and I, Marian and Randal Logue had the most incredible experience in Lough Eske Castle hotel. The accommodation was exclusive but with a wonderfully warm and welcoming staff. The head waiters for both breakfast and dinner went beyond the call of duty in their attendance to us. The breakfast was delicious. The dinner was superb. Not enough adjectives in the culinary dictionary to do it justice!

We had an incredible meal at Cedars, we were so well looked after by Adrian, James and the rest of the staff. Amazing food, great service and atmosphere in a beautiful location. Highly recommended! I'm vegan and I've attached a pic of the vegan menu - so great to have so many options to choose from! And I really recommend the vegan mushroom pappardelle, it was sooo delicious!

We were served by James. He was a top tier server who made it a dining experience to remember despite the long wait times.
