I highly recommend the trip and to take a good camera.

Fantastic Waterbus been on it twice and I definitely recommend it. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Make a note that Live band don't play on every sail and I suggest contacting them to avoid disappointment (this happened to us on Friday no live band).

This was such good fun. Excellent value at €22 each. 1 hr 15 mins of total entertainment. A slight delay in setting off due to waiting for the tide/water to be high enough. Seals (as promised), beautiful shorelines, ongoing commentary - some pretty corny jokes !! Great sing-a-long on the return trip. Lots of seating outside - gorgeous sunshine for us. Very comfortable area inside. Brilliant bar service. Toilets etc. Really enjoyable experience. Parking is onsite next to the boat at 30c an hour.

Very comfortable seating. There is a bar on board. There is commentary on the way there and music (dancing optional) on the way back. You pass Seal Island and might be lucky to see the seals. Very enjoyable. Recommended.

The Waterbus was comfortable with both indoor and outdoor seating. The views were great and we enjoyed the stop at the village for coffee.

Very comfortable and enjoyable, lovely friendly staff, beautiful views, 20 euro per person gets you a guided tour on the way out and live music on the way back. 😊 Bar on board, tea, coffee and snacks. Seats on top deck too. Total tour is 75mins and just right. Seats over a hundred. Great craic and lovely relaxing experience 😍🀩

Well organised attraction, with many different time slots available when booked a day or two ahead. All staff on-board were very friendly and helpful. Audio is played while the boat is moving, listing out different historic places of interest along the way. Pleasant way to spend an hour and 15 minutes.

Unfortunately the weather turned bad and the road trip became a bit more like the circuit of Ireland. Once the road works are finished it might be more enjoyable.

Our 75min trip as promised lasted a mere 40 mins on 24th July! Beautiful scenery although the Abbey can be seen better by walking in as it's right beside where we boarded boat. Everything else described was behind trees! No seal and I know this is down to luck but perhaps stopping the boat fo

Great trip out, thought it was rather expensive for family and 1 hours entertainment. Staff pleasant and music coming back was enjoyable, only disappointment I could not hear talk through speaker due to maybe system being old or distorted, lots of crackerling

One of the main sightseeing in Donegal town. You can check the Waterbus timetable at the website but the schedule is highly flexible. A pre-reservation via phone call is highly recommened. The cruise takes about an hour and half.

I definitely enjoyed the trip by water bus. On the way there, there was an audio guide(short information and nice music accompaniment). On the way back there was a brilliant singer, who made that trip. Beautiful voice, great Irish songs matched the picturesque views outside the best. I'd like to repeat this experience some other time, when the weather is better ,in order to be able to sit upstairs on the boat.

Great wee tour of the bay, very informative about the history of the area. A bit of live music on the way back in. Even roped a passenger in to do a couple of songs too. Good time.

Neat experience. The narration part at the start of the trip needs improvement for the outside deck. Very scenic and relaxing. You will probably see some seals and maybe a dolphin.

We had a wonderful experience. I made a reservation for more than 30 people and the waterbus company delivered an excellent service; from the booking to the actual trip. We were greeted warmly and were treated like royalty by the crew/bartenders. The recorded guide was informative, but pleasantly not overwhelming. The guitarist was funny and entertaining. There was something for everybody, including a fully stocked bar with tea and coffee as well! Professional, great craic for all ages, lots of fun and I highly recommend.

It was great, the captain sang to us on the way back. They served drinks on the upper deck. The tour was guided everything was explained. We were lucky there was no rain and we saw seals.

Had a great time spent on the DΓΊn na nGall flat bottomed boat recently - been meaning to go for so long, was delighted to finally walk the gangway and board on a warm yet overcast evening. Word to the wise, queue starts 30 mins prior to departure - if there are some bus tours and they are booked on - best be at the gangway gate 30 mins prior to sailing to get seats for your party - the seats are lounge type inside and single fold down/up, & rows of 2 on the upper deck. Wonderful views along the way, an incredibly smooth trip, very nice staff, pass by and take orders for drinks and snacks - no need to leave your seat or miss a minute of the trip. Did see some otters an a seal in the distance, the commentry is good on the way out to give insight to what's in view, some folk songs on the way back. I'd go again and again - really enjoyed it. Recommended for everyone/all ages.

Lovely boat trip out on the bay with very informative history of the past from boats leaving to America to lord Mountbatten Etc Etc don't want to give too much away but this is a must do if you visit Donegal

If you like showband tunes and dad jokes then this will be enjoyable. Unfortunately it wasn't my cup of tea. It's a pity because the scenery is beautiful and I would've loved to have heard more about the natural history and the wildlife in the bay.

Short and sweet travel by boat to appreciate the wonderful Donegal Bay. Nice music in the background and some basic facts of landmarks and personalities that lived in the area

The old man in office was mostly not interested in our enquiries told bookings were full for today and he said weather for tomorrow would be bad and no sailing and then walked off. Very poor people skills overall.

It was a nice little trip out into the bay with some local history, but was it worth the fair ? I don't think so

Fun day out! But the tickets are a little expensive, as you don't get a free coffee or any food or drinks.. 15 euro does not include any food or drinks..but it was a fun day..the singer was very funny..

A must do for all families, the tour guide and staff are brilliant and give you a history of thier County and Town Donegal, dont miss it and well do t to all involved.

Staff aboard the boat saved the day as the office was not contactable in person or over the phone so we missed out on receiving the associated maps & info to make the trip complete. No dolphins out but we did see the seels which was beautiful.

The scenery is magical. The entertainment on board reminds me of the Gaity. There is a bar on board and no one has fallen overboard yet!!!

  • 4/5 Joel L. 5 years ago on Google
The boat ride was very nice but the seals are near impossible to see, the boat stays about 200 yard from the shore. Make sure to bring cash for the bar, no credit cards

The weather wasn’t great, but we still enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly. Live music on the way back, good selection of drinks in the bar.

The boat trip was one of the most pleasant and lovely events during my trip through Ireland. And the entertainer with "Let the people sing" touched my heart. Back home I listen to the song every day :) !

Just loved it! You can see all the bay and still learn about the county.

  • 3/5 Jay T. 4 years ago on Google
Nature and Environment story may be better as a recording like on the Viking Ship in Athlone Entertainment good but too distracting from experience. Captain should stop for a good look at the seal colony. Binoculars would be a fantastic enhancement to experience. Entertainer was friendly and considerate to children on board with "wheels on the bus". Maybe "row row the boat" next time!!! Great to relax from driving. Thank you.
