A fabulous camp site located in Doonbeg just a short walk from everything you need. The pitches are spacious with a lovely touch of a table and chairs for each pitch. Plenty of hot water, spotless showers/toilets and spacious camping kitchen. A lovely warm welcome by Simon & Sue. Will certainly be back.

The new owners Sue and Simon do a magnificent job of making you feel welcome at this small yet interesting site. Pitches are not large so some bigger outfits would struggle to pitch up but each pitch is sounded by foliage of some kind helping to protect your van from the south westerly winds; which is a nice touch. The site has a pleasant quirky feel about it. All facilities are as you would wish, clean and tidy. A great find and one I would certainly come back to when in this part of Eire.

Stayed one night with a tent with winds up to 70 kph; the pitches, despite being about 50m from shore, are somewhat protected and sheltered by trees. Don't expect miracles tho. The rubber surface on the pitches is AMAZING: drains rain water wonderfully and is softer to sleep onto. Best pitch I have ever camped in those regards. Tables and benches are provided for each pitch. Services are also amazingly clean, new and spacious; hot shower is included in the price. Location is... Ok. Doonbeg is not a big village and dinner options are scarce (at least in shoulder seasons). Shops are also far away. Consider bringing food. There is a small kitchenette available to use, but only offers a kettle and fridges. We paid 35€ in two for one night (May 2026). Highly suggested if you are planning to stay in the area and do not expect much from the village you are stopping in.
