I
had
the
worst
professional
experience
of
my
life
with
the
secretariat
of
the
Tropical
Institute!!
It's
about
a
family
member.
He
came
back
from
Dubai
with
open
leg
ulcers.
Leishmaniasis
transmitted
by
a
sand
fly.
This
is
also
known
as
an
oriental
bump.
This
should
be
treated
immediately,
as
the
condition
worsened
daily
and
the
suspected
diagnosis
was
only
recognized
about
10
days
later.
The
rural
hospital
and
his
family
doctor
referred
him
to
the
tropical
ambulance
as
an
emergency.
Unfortunately
he
also
has
Corona.
(For
8
days
and
symptom-free)
the
secretary
which
on
14.3.
on
duty
in
the
morning
didn't
take
me
seriously
on
the
phone.
She
was
rude,
condescending
and
dismissive
as
well
as
rude.
She
said
literally
she
can't
imagine
it's
like
I'm
describing.
I
am
a
nurse
and
medical
assistant
myself
and
called
through
our
practice.
My
boss
and
the
doctor
treating
him
in
the
hospital
gave
him
an
emergency
referral
with
the
diagnosis
of
open
ulcerations
up
to
the
heel
and
on
the
lower
leg,
which
are
enlarging.
She
said
she
only
has
a
waiting
room
and
they
can't
treat
him
because
of
the
Corona
infection,
she
said
maybe
next
week
if
at
all.
This
is
unbelievable
but
true.
I
wonder
if
this
person
is
that
incompetent
or
just
didn't
feel
like
it.
I
asked
her
where
else
he
can
go
and
whether
one
can
wait
until
next
week
with
such
a
finding??
In
my
opinion,
this
is
a
lack
of
assistance.
Then
she
said,
I
don't
know,
I'm
not
a
doctor,
I'm
just
the
secretary.
I
was
really
stunned.
A
tropical
outpatient
clinic
is
even
responsible
for
patients
with
infectious
diseases
and
tropical
medical
infectious
diseases.
Fortunately,
our
local
dermatologist
accepted
it
on
the
same
day.
He
and
the
hospital
have
little
experience
with
such
an
illness.
But
they
tried
incredibly
hard
and
found
out
about
it.
I
am
very
grateful
for
that,
but
the
behavior
of
the
responsible
tropical
ambulance
is
all
the
more
sad
and
disappointing.
I've
never
complained
about
anyone,
but
this
behavior
is
unacceptable
and
will
have
repercussions.

Mit
dem
Sekretäriat
des
Tropeninstituts
habe
ich
beruflich
die
schlechteste
Erfahrung
meines
Lebens
gemacht!!
Es
geht
um
einen
Familien
Angehörigen.
Er
kam
aus
Dubai
zurück
mit
offenen
Ulzerationen
am
Bein.
Eine
Leishmaniose
übertragen
von
einer
Sandmücke.
Man
nennt
das
auch
Orientbeule.
Das
sollte
sofort
behandelt
werden,
da
sich
der
Zustand
täglich
verschlechterte
und
erst
ca
10
Tage
später
die
Verdachtsdiagnose
erkannt
wurde.
Das
ländliche
Krankenhaus
und
sein
Hausarzt
haben
ihn
an
die
Tropenambulanz
überwiesen
als
Notfall.
Er
hat
leider
auch
Corona.
(Seit
8
Tagen
und
Symptomfrei)
die
Sekretärin
welche
am
14.3.
vormittags
Dienst
hatte
nahm
mich
am
Telefon
nicht
ernst.
Sie
war
unhöflich,
herablassend
und
abweisend
wie
auch
unverschämt.
Sie
sagte,
Wort
wörtlich
sie
kann
sich
nicht
vorstellen
das
es
so
ist
wie
ich
es
beschreibe.
Ich
bin
selbst
Krankenschwester
und
Arzthelferin
und
hab
über
unsere
Praxis
angerufen.
Mein
Chef
und
der
behandelte
Arzt
im
Krankenhaus
haben
ihn
eine
Überweisung
als
Notfall
ausgestellt
mit
der
Diagnose
offene
Ulzerationen
bis
zur
Ferse
sowie
am
Unterschenkel,
welche
sich
vergrößern.
Sie
sagte
sie
hat
nur
ein
Wartezimmer
und
sie
können
ihn
nicht
behandeln
wegen
der
Corona
Infektion,
sie
sagte
vielleicht
wenn
überhaupt
nächste
Woche.
Das
ist
unglaublich
aber
wahr.
Ich
frage
mich
ob
diese
Person
so
inkompetent
ist
oder
einfach
nur
keine
Lust
hatte.
Ich
fragte
sie
wo
er
sonst
hin
gehen
kann
und
ob
man
mit
so
einem
Befund
bis
nächste
Woche
warten
darf??
Das
ist
für
mein
Empfinden
unterlassene
Hilfeleistung.
Darauf
sagte
sie,
dass
weiss
ich
doch
nicht,
ich
bin
doch
kein
Arzt
sonder
nur
die
Sekretärin.
Ich
war
wirklich
fassungslos.
Eine
Tropenambulanz
ist
doch
sogar
zuständig
für
Patienten
mit
Infektionskrankheiten
und
tropenmedizinische
Infektiologische
Reiserkrankungen.
Zum
Glück
hat
ihn
unser
örtlicher
Hautarzt
dann
noch
am
gleichen
Tag
angenommen.
Er
und
auch
das
Krankenhaus
haben
mit
so
einer
Erkrankung
kaum
Erfahrung.
Aber
sie
waren
unglaublich
bemüht
und
haben
sich
schlau
gemacht
darüber.
Dafür
bin
ich
sehr
dankbar
aber
umso
trauriger
und
enttäuschend
ist
das
Verhalten
der
zuständigen
Tropenambulanz.
Ich
habe
mich
noch
nie
beschwert
über
jemanden
aber
dieses
Verhalten
ist
nicht
tragbar
und
wird
noch
Folgen
haben.
