2020 1/5 : The atmosphere, food and beer could be good, but only one person can ruin the pleasant time you want to spend in a restaurant. Unfortunately , my experience was not good with a person who ignores me three times and did not take my order even I have asked just after she took other people’s orders. I hope that this attitude will be improved in the near future. 2022 4/5 : Edit : I visited the same place after 2 years and I had a nice time and good vegetarian food with beer. So here is the new rating -> ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great location, tasty local beers.

Took 2 hours to get our food which was abismal. Our server walked up after missing half of our groups order to say she was new and walked away. Finally the cook came out and apologize then tried to make it right by giving free shots to our group when some has to drive. Do not recommend.

Excellent food and beer, I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Just don't order the red wine, but what can you expect from a brewery :-)

Good Location and decent prices but Food was mediocre - the schnitzel was one of the worse I had in Germany and potatoes were reheated.

Does not sell Schlapseppel beer. It is now selling Faust exclusively. If you came for the beer, don't. :( So much better 10yrs back.

This is real pub in Germany style. Prices are decent, too. Although the name is suggesting that other bear has been made here, which I prefer better, Faust has bought, and replaced offer of bear, but name and surroundings stayed the same.

Great little place – friendly service and lovely atmosphere!

The atmosphere near the old castel is very nice and calming and the beer is really good. On the other side, the food is at least mediocre. We had some Weiswurst with brezel and a salad with steak stripes. The sausage was served in a bowl with broth alongside a brezel and sweet mustard. The broth tasted like stock cube and the brezel was dry, the sweet mustard though was tasty. The salad was made out of a big variety of vegetables and the portion was filling but it was way too shoggy, the cucumber was almost pickled. If it was freshly done it would be really good, but it wasn't. The three stars are for the beer, the enviroment and the very nice and helpfull waitress.

Highly reccomend! I stayed across the river and it was well worth the walk. Area seemed very safe and I was not worried about walking back to hotel in the dark. There is a castle and a great spot to watch the sunset just down the street from this place.
