I enjoyed this location! Atmosphere, service, & food was 5 stars. Everyone was attentive & kind. Food was seasoned to perfection, as it always is. Our wonderful waiter had recommendations that ended up being terrific, from the apps, drinks, to the dessert menu. And our visit was just on a regular Tuesday afternoon!

Love the ambiance at this place. Very warm and relaxing. Received great customer service from Evan. Ordered the dynamite shrimp and enjoyed it. Thankful for the consistency that leaves the kitchen! Definitely will be back!

The restaurant is very dark and intimate- perfect setting for a romantic atmosphere. The queso and fresh chips make for a good appetizer. We ordered the Ruben and the hickory burger. Both cooked to perfection and I'll add that the French fries taste amazing when you dip them in the queso! Super friendly staff and our waiter knew all the specials and answered all our questions- super knowledgeable.

The dynamite shrimp was an incredible appetizer. The chicken club salad had great chicken pieces that were not over breaded and the lettuce was fresh. The croissant roll is delicious.

It's upscale but cozy and comfortable. The food is always delicious & filling & we don't need to wait long for drinks & food. Charleston's is just great! I ordered the Chicken Piccata, with glazed carrots. Yum!! And a butterscotch white Russian. My husband ordered the chicken tenders & kiwi gimlet. Definitely ordering that drink next time! ;)

Hello Viewers, after visiting the famous WB favorite steakhouse - Gorat's steakhouse, my coworker and I decide to find a local new style American foods, and I am happy to find Charleston's restaurant to be the restaurant before my departure. since I have been eating burger, and I decide to go for a reuben sandwich for a change, after I taste it I wish I still get my burger instead, 😅. I guess Reuben sandwich is not for everyone. one of the highlight of the restaurant, they offer a cute tiny croissant instead of the traditional dinner Roll style, I found a pastry delicacy and very good presentation of the foods presentation. the croissant is actually got a sweet/savory taste that customer can enjoy with a cup of the coffee. the dinning area and sit down area are awesome, and amount of the noisy is just enough for causal business conversation. unfortunately I don't have the stomach to indulge myself with more foods before I head to airport, but Charleston's restaurant is definitely a revisit restaurant whenever I am back in town. Food was great, the service was very fast. She offered to provide us with more cheese and butter for baked potatoes. She also gave us fresh iced tea in a to-go container. Overall the experience was great. The place was packed for Wednesday.

Ordered a salad to go after having a few drinks at the bar with a friend. When I got home I found a wet paper towel in my salad. Really sad that my friend paid for a meal for me that I couldn’t even eat. Additionally, the chicken appeared to be lunch meat. I don’t even have words.

Never fails, always a great time here. Food never disappoints and the service stays good even when it’s a packed house. Thank you for the meals over the years. Side note, if you read these, please upgrade the faucets in the restrooms, you’re better than this (picture for reference).

While it was on the more expensive side, the food was really good! Usually when I order steak I have to use A1! Here I got the sirloin and it was PERFECTLY seasoned so I didn't need to use A1 so that was a huge win for me. I love the lighting at the tables and the kid's menu was also great! There were more options for kids than most places so that was awesome in itself. We spent about 160 without tip included for 4 of us. The dessert is huge! We got carrot cake and key lime pie and the serving was big enough to almost fill the whole plate! Will definitely be back!

Great quality food. Fresh and always warm at the table. Service is always out. And the atmosphere is very warm and comfortable. We love coming here every Sunday after church.

The atmosphere was great. The service was amazing. The food was unfortunately sub-par and especially for the pricing. If I were to compare the menu, it would be close to cheddars. The food was flavorless. My wife and I ordered roast chicken and chicken fried chicken with spinach dip for an appetizer. We've had better... we most likely won't return, but we hope others have had a better experience with the food there.

The Shrimp Cargot was fantastic! I enjoyed the Slightly Smoked Salmon, the sauce was great! Everyone said their dishes were good, even down to the fresh coleslaw! The carrot cake comes out warm and is one of the best I've had. We also shared the key lime pie, which is as good as when I've had it in the Keys!

Our server was great, as was the food. Got the steak and baked potato and the sides of burgundy mushrooms and glazed carrots, the joke was my potato took up almost half the plate. For the atmosphere I was disappointed it was so dark inside and each table only had a pendant light to see the menu. Also it was extremely loud in this location which was surprising. Will be back as the food was top notch!

Victor was excellent and so was the chicken fried chicken and pork carnitas tacos-they had amazing flavor and just the right amount of heat. This place was recommended to us and glad we stopped.

On Sept. 4th around 5:30 pm we were served by Victor R. There were Six Adults some of which were over six feet so sitting in the booth was out of the question...we had to beg them for a larger table as it was impossible for us to sit together in a booth. Then, they tried to put us on a four seater which made no sense. Finally we demanded the round table in the corner...they reluctantly agreed. The restaurant was not that busy as there were many empty tables/booths...our server Victor was so abrupt and fast paced in which we had no time to look over the drink menu nor even allowed to focus on our choices. He seem upset and very anxious so we told him we wish to order drinks first. Well, he then more or less demanded we know what our main meals would be...we all looked at each other and thought ...wow...he seem impatient. We ordered starters as well as our entrees all of which arrived around the same time. He was so so pushy on us finishing and leaving where some of us he grabbed the plates when we were not even finished. Way too much for us to handle, however, we simply ignored his behavior and focus on our Group. The food was very good but I strongly suggest those of us whom are concerned with sodium to request lite on the salt. Chocolate cake was superb. He obviously pushed the checks on us so we decided to pay and move on...during this time there were many empty tables so it could not have been due to waiting customers. Having family in the business we understand service but this was very strange and some of Guests reflected this in their tips..not me since I realize it is shared among the other staff members. With the economy rapidly changing and next year will be a significant change as I deal with the finance world, I would strongly suggest Staff be more inviting but time will show the numbers and revenue. Also, Omaha has a tremendous number of quality restaurants so options are available. We will not be going back there and will try some other options. I understand that this location will be closing and moving to the Boys Town area location so maybe a new location might be chance to see if we can have other Server options. Let us hope Victor had a bad day but those bad days can hurt the revenue especially with an upcoming slowing economy.

Charleston's at the BoysTown location has been my absolute favorite restaurant since it opened. Excellent food and atmosphere. The ONE thing that ruins my experience there from time to time is having DAVID as our server. He is not personable at all. He is so very quick with my table time and time again. He always is very arrogant. He can set water at your table and zip off so fast that you can't even get one word in to ask for a straw. It's like that then entire meal. I was there on 10 Aug. 2023 and had DAVID as our server. We used to ask them to not have him be our server, but we let it go this time. I watched how he talked to another table with a family, and told them how old his two kids are and how old he is. I am a very polite and friendly person. I don't understand why he acts so nice at one table and then the complete opposite at mine. A female co-worker of mine went there the very next night after I did (Aug 11) and she texted me wanting to know the name of the server that I don't like. She also had DAVID and had experienced the same exact thing. I am questioning if he is sexist??? Management needs to be doing something about this NOW. He has worked there for many years. Why aren't they doing something about this? Is he related to someone there? Every server should treat every table the same exact way. There is no reason for him to act so disrespectful to me and my female friends that come there to celebrate special occasions from time to time. We will NEVER let him serve us again.

I am sharing this review strictly about the service and not the food. I am a regular at Charlestons and thoroughly enjoy the food but have had one server a handful of times who is absolutely the worst. His name is David. He is ALWAYS in a hurry, tries to rush us through our meal and barely stays at the table long enough for us to ask for what we want. I am not sure how he still has a job with his poor people skills. From now on we will make sure we don't get him as a server.

Not at all impressed with the quality of food with my first (and sadly last) order from Charlestons. The fish and chips were swimming in grease, with freezer aisle flavors and portioned for a child's meal. Mac & Cheese wasn't memorable, but was okay. Keylime pie was actually pretty good with a nice bright and tart flavor. Based on the mountain of glowing reviews I really expected some good food, must have been an off night...

My friend and I went here for dinner after a long day. Tommy, our server, was very nice and helpful. The fries and queso were splendid. We will definitely be returning here soon with more.

The atmosphere here is very welcoming and friendly. I always love the warm croissants with the salads. The servers are attentive, and the food is always exceptional. The croutons taste like they are homemade, which make the salad taste so much better.

Charleston's seems to me to be everyone's favorite prom restaurant.  Polished leather booths, polished wood everywhere else, dim table lighting and actual spaces creating that perfect semi isolating intimate setting perfect for a formal well anything really.  Any pauses in conversation are easily filled by Piano Man by Billy Joel playing in the background and the quiet roar of other conversations.  It seems overwhelming until you talk and realize it  is quite easy to hear each other.  I brought my young daughter who has SPD causing many issues with her trying new food.  This usually means we order her French fries, bread, and two or three sides to try.  My daughter ended up getting three sides and the yogurt fruit cheese dinner.  I also asked for two croissants from the salad without honey for her.  How she felt about the food is irrelevant, our server, Brianna, was excellent.  She never questioned our choices adding that we could order what we liked.  She also never preached to me about the excess cost for ordering so much for her to just try. I had the prime rib 10 oz with house salad and baked potato all of which was fantastic.  I strongly recommend this place, fancy date or not.

Fantastic fish and chips- light and perfectly cooked. The dill tartar sauce was on the money. The service was even better than the meal! Efficient, polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and happy. Our server Ben obviously enjoys his job and it shows! Our first time here and we'd definitely come back.

Took my wife here for her birthday. Great atmosphere and customer service. My wife had the steak and loved it. I had the chicken with mashed potatoes. It was amazing. Good selection of drinks and all around fantastic experience. Would recommend.

Excellent food. Husband had Prime Rib and he said it was very good. I had Chicken fried chicken. Huge portion and i only ate half. Brought home half. Loved the peppery gravy. Definitely will go back.

The first time I went. Absolutely amazing. The second time I went. I had a high end steak it had lots of fat and gristle. I get 7 dollar steaks from just good meats that are NEVER like that. I expect more from a high end steak house. The first steak I had months back tho was one of the best I've ever had.

Work dinner for small group and our waitress was fantastic. Couple of appetizers, meals and take home pie or cake for dessert.

  • 4/5 Leah B. 2 years ago on Google
The food is decent but its definitely overpriced. You're paying more for the ambiance as it’s a cute and romantic spot but you typically can’t enjoy that because more often than not it's loud and crowded. The service was really good, awesome about keeping our glasses full! Walt’s Champaign salad is amazing and of course the croissants are a dream. Suggest off peak hours for an optimal experience.

This Charleston's Restaurant location is amazing. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food was outstanding! It's a perfect atmosphere if you're looking for a quiet, dark, romantic setting. Our waiter, James, was super sweet, helpful, and very humorous! The food, was something else. I got the Grilled Chicken & Avocado Club and it was probably the best chicken sandwich I've had in a very long time! My partner got the Hickory burger, and he loved it! He said it was incredible and cooked perfectly! Overall, definitely coming back because it was just fantastic all around! Highly recommend this place! Guaranteed that you won't be disappointed.

We held a surprise dinner for my daughter and the staff went out of their way to make it a perfect celebration. The food was amazing and the service was the best I've ever had anywhere. The entire experience was wonderful! A special thanks to Jake and Tommy, our servers! These young men are top notch!

French dip: cooked fairly well, not chewy at all. Aju sauce wasn't fully tasteful kind of bland and didn't compliment the meal. Potatoes on point as usual. Tenderloin: not the greatest. Gave a bad piece of meat, wasn't tenderized at all which made it very hard to eat.

We are regulars and have gone twice to the new location. The food and service were great both times but it's missing the cozy, warm, inviting feel the old Charlestons had. We're kinda bummed about that. It felt like we were eating delicious food at a newly remodeled Village Inn. My daughter and I ordered the vegetable medley and it did not have any butter sauce on it which was no biggie we just mentioned it to our server and the manager Amy brought out our new ones. Amy was very apologetic and I felt bad for her as it seemed as if she might have had a bad week with the move and negative comments. I hope Charlestons is able to bring back some of the same inviting and intimate atmosphere they had at the other location.
