Kelsey was the highlight of this visit. She admits to learning everything from the owners and that’s fine she learned well. The four of us left without any bottles we just didn’t care for the wine.

Best Pinot in the Umpqua. Been tasting here for years and have yet to find one wine that I didn't think that was at least "very good". Most range from excellent to amazing. If you are going to taste wine in Douglas County then your tasting isn't complete until you taste Hillcrest.

Last Sunday went to the HillCrest tasting room. They had a wonderful and tasty selection of wines. Kelsey was very knowledgeable and her presentation was exceptional. We were very impressed and had the best time. Really one of if not the best wineries in OR that me and my husband have visited.

Discovered this place while wine tasting for my 5 year Anniversary. Love the atmosphere of being rustic and old school. The wine is very tasty and has plenty to choose from. The fact that this place is the oldest in Oregon, and still in operation is amazing. Highly recommend going here. Great Experience.

Service was good, but tasting fee was pricey compared to other wineries in the area. We ended up leaving without buying a bottle because we didn't love any of the wine we tasted and they were also not affordable. Not a place to go if you're doing tastings around the area or if you're on a budget.

Best winery experience my family and I have had in a while! Both Susan (the co-owner) and Kelsey were super helpful, knowledgeable, and personable during our wine tasting. The history of the oldest winery in Oregon was interesting and great to know that the current owners are keeping the traditions of wine making alive. I am glad I made the decision to make a stop off from I-5 to visit this winery. Tasted fine wines and learned so much wine making knowledge from the bartender! And the sunset is strikingly peaceful!

If you want to be exposed to great sophisticated wine, learn a ton while talking to the owner (super passionate, fun and knowledgeable) feel comfortable in a relaxed environment this is probably the best vineyard to do so. I not only had an amazing time but found one of my now favorite wines.

Hillcrest is by far one of the most reliable and authentic wine experience in southern Oregon. Over the years, I have found their flavor to be bold, big and consistent. Their adherence to tradition has yielded a palate of simply amazing wines. For a small winery in out of the way Douglas County, they are performing high art.

Interesting set up. Not much of a place to enjoy wine if you visit during a rainy week day. Which seems to most days in roseburg. The son gives you a wealth of knowledge and history of wines to his degree. Spent enough to be comparable to a group of 4, but alone. Was hurried out of there because I was inquiring too much about wines and having a conversation with the son by the mom. The dad gave superb service to the group. But if you go in as one person, might not be received as well. Great reds. Thanks for the one time $200 Visit.

Great wine. Owner was very informative and produces good, quality wine. No where to sit inside but we stood at the bar and did the wine tasting. Good surprise to our wine tasting experience.

Recently my wife and I visited the Hillcrest winery and learned what "dry farming" was. The owner though she was busy (the only person working) took the time to answer our questions and share the history of Hillcrest. This is the oldest Estate Winery in Oregon and the owners are passionate about what they do. The wines are excellent and one should definitely make this winery a "for sure" stop!

The Hillcrest server was very friendly and opened several additional bottles for our tasting.

Amazing selections of wine to taste (especially all of the reds!) with really knowledgeable staff.

Great wines. We enjoyed chatting with the winemaker.
