We've gone camping here a few times and had a fantastic experience every time! Plenty of fish, good swimming spots and places to canoe too. Easy in and out, friendly people and not a far drive from Omaha. I do recommend bringing bug spray and you're own fire wood.

May 2023 Edit: I've noticed most of the picnic tables have warped and/or cracked planks. There were at least three spilled drinks on this trip because people didn't realize the top surface was warped so badly under the required tablecloth. They could also use some new paint. The roads throughout the park are cracked. Its a bumpy ride anywhere you go. The fire pit ring was rusted and had holes all over. I camp frequently throughout the spring, summer and fall and most Nebraska parks are in really poor condition when compared to Iowa or South Dakota parks and I don't understand why. Previous review; It's a nice park for picnics, fishing, camping, and swimming in the designated pond or in the platte river. It's not a great place for hiking though as they close most trails for extended hunting season or other un-named reasons.

We just went fishing with the kids for the afternoon. Had a lot of fun. And there was a lot to go to. We caught fish and frogs and saw tons of turtles. The people we got the annual permit from were awesome and helpful. And he was very nice and told us where we could catch some fish. The bathroom at the main place was nice and clean. There was hardly anyone there when we went though. It was a Tuesday afternoon.

My family and I went here last Friday and overall, it’s a really pretty place, nice scenery and lots of trees plus plants. The sunset at the beach was also very nice. However, the “toilet” at our campsite area should not be considered a toilet, I think it would be classified as a bowl shaped like a toilet infested with several diseases. I’m not being dramatic when I say this either, it smelled horrible in there, there’s no sink, no lighting, it’s unflushable, and the seat is just as bad as the inside of it. Honestly, you’d be better off bringing a bucket to do your business in if you get stuck in the campsite my family and I were in. The showers near lake 4 also cost 50 cents for three minutes and there was dead bugs in there. Also, I recommend you pick a day to stay where they aren’t busy because you’d be surprised at how many people are staying up until 2 am to talk, lots of cars are also moving around during night so expect flashing lights illuminating your tent. 2 stars for the scenery.

Stayed here for four nights - were able to move to different sites, because the park was practically empty by Sunday afternoon. Neat park with many different campgrounds, fishing ponds - even a swimming area in one of the ponds. The grounds are kept very clean and mowed regularly. The only strange thing was that one bathroom building had free showers and another had coin operated showers- not sure what that was about. There is also a concession store right at the entrance to the park, but it had limited hours during the week, so we had to go a mile outside the park for ice in the evenings. Would stay again if we are camping in the area.

This is a great place to go camping, there are plenty of camping spots, and a lot of them by the water, during the main time of the year there are showers and the showers have handicap showers, there are places for the kids to play, and they have different levels of camping from primitive to camper hook up. The prices range from $15-$30 a night.

We have been camping here since 1968 as little kids with our paternal grandparents. Our favorite NE State Park. Two Rivers is 302 acres and has 6 gorgeous, well-maintained different campground areas with tons of mature trees all around with some trails too. The bathrooms with showers are kept clean and stocked, and the kids playgrounds are well maintained to be safe. Our favorite camping area is "Cottonwood" campground that borders the Platte river (sentimental reasons), it is filled with very tall and old Cottonwood trees. But all the campsites are great. It has been fun watching Two Rivers develop over the years. The whole park is a beautiful nature setting with 7 lakes and Platte river frontage. Fishing is very good here, and the park also has a nice, clean beach for lake swimming. The Park Rangers have always been kind and helpful. They want it quiet for campers after 10 PM also luckily. There is also a nice sized Two Rivers Concessions store across from the Park office and entrance that has lots of supplies and offers light breakfast/ lunch/ dinner; that has been there for decades. Our family has so many years of excellent memories here and can't wait to make more this Spring camping and fishing here. Sometimes my daughter and I drive here just to walk around for a few hours to be in nature and relax, year round. If you want a geat place near Omaha to go for camping, fishing, hunting, or even a fun day trip to picnic and get outdoors year round, Two Rivers is definitely the place.

Great fun with family. Ice Cream stand and plenty of fishing areas. Can not say anything negative about the campgrounds itself. Had a great time and my boys pulled in a ton of bluegill and a few cat. I will say the showers were pretty gross. If you are getting low on water in the rv just take a wash off in the lake to skip the grimy showers and slimy floors of the wash house. Besides that this park is a 9 out 10.

Stayed at oak grove, sites a little tight getting in and out, but overall really nice park, drove around to different camping areas and all very nice. Very quiet campground, definitely will be back.

This is a lovely park for camping and the caboose camper cabins they offer are a fun option. My mistake was to come for hiking - the customer service person told me the trails aren’t marked on the map they give out and he didn’t seem to know for sure if there are any or where I could find them. He did tell me to watch out for hunters with bows. The park is fairly small, we didn’t find any actual trails, I would say it is best for family camping since they do offer many different options for that (cabooses, regular cabins, multiple spaces for RVs and tents). There is a small lake with a beach that’s great for swimming, and you can also swim in the river (although the lake is safer). The cabooses should be reserved online first since they are pretty booked up through the summer. Minimum stay is two nights, so they can’t be booked just for an overnight stay. Overall the park is clean, seems safe, and the nature is pretty. We saw lots of different kinds of birds, including a goose nesting right by the camping area.

If you are from out of state I'd steer clear, we arent welcome here. As a disabled Veteran, Nebraska has been the least welcoming state during my travels. You'll get charged double for being out of state and they offer no veteran discount. The parks aren't even in the condition to pay the amount they are asking for.

I love going here every season. You can really enjoy getting lost in nature. There are lots of seed pods and berries in the winter. Moss and small greenery are still thriving under a thick blanket of leaves.

Very clean area! I couldn't catch any fish, but I did score a ton of moss which was pretty neat. While sitting on the shore, I kept thinking about why people don't try to make the dried moss into paper instead of cutting down millions and billions of tree's every year.. idk but it was a very nice and family oriented park.

Love heading out to Two Rivers SRA for an afternoon hike. It's close enough to west Omaha to take a sandwich for a picnic, then take a walk around the lake or through the woods. Plenty of campsites for any size trailer. The dump station has been redone, and now has four areas to empty your trailer.

I mainly use two rivers recreational area for tent camping. It's very nice camping close to the river but this place does tend to get very crowded. Having a lot of people is not always a bad thing but most of the time there are just rude people who are inconsiderate they play loud music all night that yell at each other or they leave their engines running for no apparent reason.

Camp site was fine, we unfortunately had one that had our door facing the road. Had family try to drop us off after dinner around 9 pm and boy ranger attendant wouldn’t let us in without paying for a sticker, he didn’t bother to ask what site we were in either. So here we are we are in our sixties the other couple in their 70’s and this boy couldn’t use common sense to let them drop us off. Felt it was a bit of bullying on his part and so we ended up walking in the dark to our campsite

We always have such a good time not super crazy like other parks. The staff is very helpful and friendly along with the hosts!

Great trout fishing, room for kids to fun around and play, and a place to clean your fish. If you go on the right day you will be catching fish nonstop.

I like all the different lakes they have to offer. Camped here about 10 years ago. Today we drove by the trout lake and it was packed full of people. We brought our daughter here to "treasure hunt" she took her metal detector she got for Christmas to the swim beach.

portions are still under construction including the part i reserved and they were nice enough to move ahead of time to a better riverfront site. apparently they are just waiting for inspections

Two Rivers is probably the worst state park I've ever been to. The staff is incredibly rude and they're regularly breathing down your neck. They make you feel like you're constantly doing something wrong, to the point where it felt we were walking on eggshells our whole stay. The worst of the staff was Jacob. I'm not sure if he was power-tripping or having a few bad days but he definitely needs to work on his people skills, or go be a cop if he wants to treat people the way he does. He was incredibly impolite and aggressive. The bathrooms were dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned the whole weekend we stayed there. The water at the swimming lake is dirty and smelly. Want to know the most ridiculous part of the whole park? Having to pay to take a shower. Two quarters for 3 minutes. If I have to pay money like that just to take a shower, you would expect the shower rooms to be clean and the water would at least stay warm. What a joke of an experience. Also, I think Jacob could really benefit from some coaching on his people skills. Maybe even some therapy. I don't know his situation but the ego trips were very unpleasant and unprofessional. We did not feel comfortable there and it's safe to say we'll never stay there again.

I am giving it a low score because the bathrooms were dirty when we arrived. You had to pay for showers (it takes quarters). You also have to pay for a park pass even thou you just paid for electric only site. Which was $35.00. I never found the area to wash dishes so I washed them in the bathroom sink. Some of the site had huge puddles of water in them from the rain so make sure you are not in a low area. The plus was the sites are nicely spaced between each other and they had flushable toilets. Also we asked about buying wood and the lady said we had to go out of the park and buy some.

Nice place to camp. Was in Riverside where bathrooms are pit toilet only. There is fresh water hydrant but no sign for it. There is no security lights on or in the bathroom which would be helpful. Be sure to ask for map if youve never been. Noise pollution can be loud at times (trains, planes, boats, military ammunition?) but not gonna dock a star for that. Lots of wildlife to watch!
