Great hotel with lots of lovely period decor and furniture. Super friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Slept wonderfully. Great breakfast but restaurant menu too heavily weighted to beef dishes. Out of 8 options 5 were beef and no fish main courses at all

Very happy with this hotel. Clean, friendly service and we'll maintained. Will stay here again when I next go to the island. It is ideally located for the electric railway and there are a couple of pubs nearby. It is quite a walk into Douglas though. The sea view from the room was excellent.

I stayed for 3 nights in June 2022. The standard of the room and facilities was consistent with other good hotels I've stayed in in Douglas, but I think this hotel has more character than others. The decor in the common areas is reminiscent of a country house. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would happily visit again.

Excellent sea front "Victorian" hotel with a good restaurant and a nice bar. 24hr reception and room service. Right on the promenade with easy access to attractions. Regular buses to the ferry terminal and further afield. Friendly service, comfortable room and bed. TV and tea/coffee in rooms.

Business trip 14 days Overall the hotel looks good with a classic look but doesn’t take away from the quality and the room I received was more than enough to meet my needs; with Bedroom, living room and bathroom. It’s clean and very well maintained. Has a very well established restaurant and bar and a very good room service menu Personally I never felt very welcomed, well received or valued as a customer and more so my privacy was questioned and contested which I do not appreciate. To the point where manager had a go at me regarding my privacy all just to service an already tidy room. This was after the initial service they discarded personal properties. But Maybe a small over-sight. People make mistakes. I’d recommend the hotel. I just can’t vouch for my experience.

Lovely room, very spacious and modern. Right on Douglas sea front, it is a greT setting and the ideal place to base a trip to the island

Hotel is unique in a classic sense. The building is historical with a lovely lift. The staff are excellent and the rooms spotless and well maintained. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. Overall a lovely stay.

Good location and great for the price. Would stay again. Lower service ranking as my flight in was delayed and there was no option to get any dinner at all. I don't really think this is acceptable.

Visited this hotel for four years. One of the best on the island with friendliest hotel and bar staff. Restaurant is amazing.

Loved our stay . Very convenient location to restaurants ,the electric railway and to enjoy the promenade. Friendly staff and great hospitality. Good range of breakfast served in the bright and beautiful restaurant to start the day with. !
