Great hotel. It has the Guinness world's record for the smallest lift. The breakfast is out of this world. Staff are polite and competent. Word.

We recently had a four day stay at this hotel with GB Tours and I must say, it really did deliver. The staff were amazing, the room was excellent and so was the food. I suffer from a food allergy and the kitchen staff and waiting staff couldn't have been more helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Choice of food in restaurant very good and table service excellent. Very nice bedroom, but a small coffee type table would have been welcome. Lift facilities very inadequate. Only one small lift which holds three persons at a squeeze. Overall, a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay there.

I give the hotel a 3 star review, here simply because the restaurant, was a little over populated,IE to meny people on a table , They had the room to spread out ,but I suppose economics.but having said that ,would I stay again YES

I stayed here as part of a tour group. Room had recently been refurbished and was clean and comfortable. However the design included putting one of the beds across the doors of the wardrobe, rendering it totally useless. The heating in the bathroom ( a towel rail) was totally inadequate, it was like Siberia. We were on a half board basis. Breakfast was ok, enough choice. Dinner was poor, most items out of a packet or freezer bag, nothing fresh about any of it. How can you have a carvery without roast potatoes? It was a dispiriting sight. In fact my sister and I ate somewhere else on our last night. Staff were invariably friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed this hotel. Good position on the Douglas promenade. Food was good even though the restaurant was full and the waiter service was excellent. Be aware there are 9 steep steps to navigate to enter the hotel.

Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights end of August, room was excellent fantastic sea view, very clean with surprisingly large bathroom. Staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel seemed to cater mostly for coach parties but this didn't effect the service we were given, staff were very accommodating which was helpful with us having two young children. We worried parking might be an issue but we always managed to get a space right by the hotel. Location suited us about a 20min walk to the centre of Douglas. All in all fantastic stay, thank you we will be returning 😊

Not got around to writing a review before. Stayed here for a week in 1977. From what I remember, it was a great hotel and an enjoyable holiday.

Stayed for 3 nights. Really clean place. Foods on par with most places, but entertainment was a bit dodgy. If you're looking for a comfortable base for a stay on the Isle of Man you could do worse.

Great hotel, clean, food really good, staff very helpful and polite. There were 3 big problems for us though. The steps outside are dangerous for people with mobility issues. 2nd the rooms are like a warren of corridors and confusing. 3rd several rooms including ours were drowned by the dreadful noise from the kitchen fan. A cross between loud engine and a didgeridoo in a wind tunnel. From the crack of dawn to 9pm, absolute hell, especially if you suffer from tinitus as l do. Lovely clean hotel but the fan noise absolutely let's it down.

Never been to Isle of Man before. You can't fault this hotel. Rooms are immaculate, staff are friendly and really helpful. Right on prom. Food is self service and spot on. Would definitely stay here again.πŸ‘

We stayed here with GB Tours. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was located on the 2nd floor. Fabulous sea view. King size bed with memory foam mattress. Very comfortable. Huge bathroom with bath. Although the lift is small taking only 3 people at a time it is quick and we never had to wait. The food was superb. Served buffet style with a choice of hot or cold starters, excellent mains served by the chef of a roast plus 2 other options and several vegetables great gravy. Desert was a choice of usually 4 dishes. Breakfast was again buffet style. Food always hot and freshly prepared. The hotel is situated a good walk from the centre of Douglas but buses run very frequently from outside the hotel.when we visited bus fares were capped at a maximum of Β£2. The steps are very steep at the front of the hotel but good hand rails to help. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and GB tours

Just arrived at the hotel as part of a coach party, have a huge room (double for sole use). Only gripe is the shower cubicle is minute. Also the bar lounge is not big enough especially when there are 3 coach parties staying.

It would be easy to make a list of things to complain about, but it is a three star hotel and you get what you pay for. 3 🌟🌟🌟 means average, which is about right. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. Our room was spacious and the ensuite bathroom was fully functional.
