Great place to visit if you want a nice home style meal. The atmosphere was great...nice quaint dining area and a beautiful outside surrounding. The back of the restaurant meets Silver Lake, and there is a small deck where you can enjoy the view. Food was really good, with large portions. The prices are decent, and pretty much in line with other home style restaurants. Highly recommended.

This is a great find! Eat and enjoy a view of the lake! The food was amazing! The service was worthy of five stars. And the atmosphere was reminiscent of days of old. If you like quality food, great service delivered by polite people, and old school professionalism, the you have to try The Countrie Eatery! And yes …..it’s with an ie for a reason!

So good! Had one of the top three eggs Benedict of my life. Their fluffy crabcake eggs Benedict were amazing. In house made crabcake. Perfectly poached eggs and very creamy and rich hollandaise over a toasted English muffin. We also had a double stack of pancakes that were about as good as pancakes get. Buttey and soft. Large enough to fill the plate. The steak and eggs were also very well prepared. The steak was thin cut and seasoned with salt and pepper. Tender. Coffee was delicious and always topped off by our server.

2nd time I have been here driving back through Dover to Maryland. Breakfast is amazing and servers are on point. Reminds you of when you go to a neighbors house for breakfast. Food is well seasoned and always served temperature appropriate. A must stop for breakfast if you are in the area. Don't worry about the lines outside to get in. Turnover in service times are quick. Enjoy!

I came here based on a recommendation. I got one of their specials which was a grilled BBQ, cheese and bacon sandwich with vegetable soup. My meal also came with dessert. I got the chocolate silk. The service was great. The food experience was iffy. My coffee pot dispensed a fly which I thought could have been a one off experience. Then my soup saucer had something on the underneath of the plate when i grabbed it from my server. I am not sure what it was. My chocolate silk looked great but tasted old. The pie filling broke off in chunks when I stabbed into it with a fork. The rest of the people I went with had a good experience and enjoyed their food. I don't expect to return anytime soon.

Some friends and I wanted to try a restaurant nearby where we were for breakfast and this generally had good recommendations, so figured we might as well try the food here. Honestly, I would not go back there again. After waiting over 45 minutes for our food (as we watched others around us eating and even others who arrived after us getting their food), it was warm and BLAND! All of us at the table felt the NEED to put some salt/pepper and even use condiments to make the food better. Our waiter was a bit short with us as well, whereas she was laughing with other tables. If you do decide to go here anyway, the grits, sausage, and house muffin were the foods that we actually enjoyed. Probably the best part is the atmosphere, as it is right near a lovely body of water. Overall, would not recommend.

Clean country restaurant. Food was good, a nice place for a home style meal. They have a cool display at the entrance of toys. Nice view of the water, also has a little deck where you can walk and enjoy the outdoors. Portions are big. Had a hot chocolate that was really good.

We had the breakfast and it was delicious. The service was great. Definitely a country style place but so good. Would visit again to try the regular food.

A cozy restaurant with a real family dining atmosphere. The food is plentiful and full of flavor. Mary L was very attentive and gracious. If you're lucky enough to sit with a view of the water, enjoy it through the abundance of windows.

A quaint little restaurant on the water. Server was friendly and food was served quickly, hot and plentiful. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Nice little place themed in revolutionary times I believe. Food left a lot to be desired, seemed like sysco frozen boxed food that was barely heated up (french toast). Sausage links were very dry, almost like cardboard, omelet was ok. Service was nice. Can't really recommend anything.

The grilled cheese with bacon, tomato and provolone on rye (one of the day's specials) and the vegetable soup were yummy. For the homemade dessert that comes with the special I chose the chocolate silk pie on Graham cracker crust. I opted out if the whipped cream topping though. I like my chocolate unadulterated!! Despite the sign asking patrons to be patient with service because of a staffing shortage, our service did not seem delayed.

This is a cute little eatery off the highway in Dover. Overlooking silver lake gives it a great atmosphere. The food is fine for this type of place, and the service is warm. I have always enjoyed having breakfast here. I stopped in for lunch with my mom and grandma. The side of fries was a bit skimpy due to the price it cost, but it was easy to overlook.

First time visit. Short distance off route 13. I had a bowl of chili, which I thought was very flavorful. I also had the chicken salad sandwich that I also enjoyed. I liked that it was not over dressed with mayo. Sorry, no picture of that sandwich. Would recommend both of these items. Almost forgot, the coffee was hot and hit the spot. Enjoy.

The staff was courteous, quick to seat, attentive. The pricing was great for breakfast. The food was average at best. Eggs over easy came with runny whites is my biggest compaint. Has a very hometown diner style atmosphere that is quiet and relaxing. One of the few local places that had liver and onions last i checked.

Food was delicious. Portions were large. Service was good but like most places these days, they were under staffed. Our server was great, she checked on us often.

We visited this restaurant for the first time today for breakfast. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean and the food was great! I had the Farm House Omelet and hubby had the Eggs Benedict. The food was so good and the home fries were delicious! I also had the House Muffin with my meal and it was fabulous! We definitely will be back.

went on a little breakfast date here and it was the best thing we ever could have asked for. best vibe ever. they even pre-buttered my waffle. how many places will do that for you?

It had been years since dining here. This visit did not disappoint! Scrapple was cooked perfectly. They have breakfast platters to suit any size appetite. It made for the perfect breakfast with a friend! I'll be bringing my family back next time, and I'll be able to update with food restriction accommodations.

Every place that serves breakfast all day long is my favorite and if you can get a whole baked potato and English muffin😋 with your scrambled eggs instead of home fries I'm happy 😊 fresh feta cheese and onions 🧅

This is my husband's and I favorite little Sunday morning Date Day spot. While we wait on our table( 15-30 minutes); we take in the beautiful scenery of the lake in the back.

Quaint, homestyle dining. Came for breakfast and was impressed with the hefty portions and taste of the food. They were busy but server was attentive. Beautiful view of the lake while dining.

We tried this place because the reviews seemed pretty good but we definitely will not be coming back. When we first walked in the hostess wasn't that friendly. The wait to be seated wasn't that long but we had to wait a while for our food. The waitress didn't really check up on us while waitinf. The food wasn't good at all, the food was lacking flavor and seasoning. I ordered the pancakes which was very dry and no flavor at all. The home fries came out cold and the eggs were bad as well. The waitress realized I didn't eat most of my pancakes or food and asked me why. I was honest and told her the pancakes were dry and not good. She then looked at me with a blank stare and said oh ok. I thought she would take something off the bill since she asked but she didnt. The best part was the coffee, bacon, and the water view. Would not recommend.

I walked in & requested takeout. They don’t do takeout! I explained to the hostess that I had an appointment very soon & just wanted to drop in for a quick bite to eat. She sat me at a table & the waitress came right over to take my order! I had my food in no time. The hostess was sure to let the waitress know that I was pressed for time. She accommodated me & I appreciate it. The food was delicious too.

Best known for the breakfast all day, finally had a chance to check it out and was very pleased. Went for the eggs Benedict and had to order side order of scrapple , highly recommend that. I’d also suggest going for the sweet potato fries. We had a bit of a wait , but if the weather is nice you can walk around back to the their small pier on the water and watch the turtles. They also have a small gift shop with small toys for little kids to help keep them busy

Really don’t know why people love this restaurant so much and recommend it. Probably because they never had real good food before and this is what they’ve had to deal with since there’s not many “country eatery/diner” type restaurants around. Small portions of food for a high price. Went for breakfast and it’s extremely pricey for what you get. If the food was good, I wouldn’t mind but the food sucks. Smells musty inside. Nice location but definitely needs better cooks and an updated menu

First and last time at this place I was looking for a good breakfast and received a big disappointment food was just flat out nasty potatoes had a weird taste French toast was regular bread flat and wet no cinnamon or powdered sugar how they advertised there pictures eggs were very wet and runny and they were scrambled turkey bacon by far the best thing on my plate the crowd is a very old crowd so if your young and looking for great tasting seasoned food this is not the place to go to sorry

We stopped by for a late lunch while traveling. The best things we ate were the side of fried tomatoes and their "house muffin" which is like a spice cake with Raisins and nuts. The loss of a star was because we'd asked for "well done" breakfast potatoes with both our meals and they came out just barely cooked, definitely not crispy at all. We didn't have the time to ask them to fix them so we just ate them. :/ The prices were reasonable, the serving staff very nice. They quickly cleaned up the tables around us as they left. If we were driving by again we'd stop back if only to get more fried tomatoes and house muffins!
