Sharing my experience. Someone locally was selling platters and ran out of the beef birria. I immediately search birria tacos near me. To my surprise a local gem has added birria to the menu. Immediately flying there realizing i had stumbled upon a rush. Everyone ordering the tacos. The look was different but it was still good. One of my tacos was full of nothing but fat. Imagine biting down and its full of fat!!! I was enraged!!! Photo below. BITE WITH ⛔️

Technically should be 4.5 Stars but I prefer to round up with this place. The tamale is larger than the burrito, and the tacos were pretty tasty. Pricing was decent and definitely will come back again. Edit March 25th 2023. They messed up one of the orders badly, when no cilantro was requested it came with extra cilantro. That is very disappointing. Dropping down to two stars.

First time there ordered the Arrachera Mexicana. For Takeout . Will give review after tasting. Well I tried it and all I can say is Yummy 😋 😜!!! Sorry I should have posted a before picture but this is all that is left! And I haven't finished eating yet 🤣🤣🤣 I give this place 5 🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴

Staff is very rude, food is alright. I see a lot of negative comments about the short woman who works there. She lives up to her negative image. I quietly waited in line, I get to the counter and she asks me if I’m picking up. I say no, I need to place an order and she walks away to the back. Then around 8 Spanish speaking individuals came in. She magically appeared from the back, completely ignored me, and started taking their orders. That’s when I walked out and took my business elsewhere. Won’t be returning.

I ate here for the first time today and I'm honestly speechless. I've eaten alot of tacos at alot of different places, and these just took first place. I got the birria and the al pastor, both mind-blowingly delicious. I went inside to place a to-go order of 8 tacos (4 of each). The nice girl who took my order told me it would be about 12 minutes, but it felt like much less than that. The side of sauce the birria comes with is so savory and perfectly compliments the taco and I wish I had a gallon of it. The al pastor is so tender and flavorful, I wish it was bottomless. Both varieties came with the perfect amount of cilantro and onion. Another thing I was very happy to see is the lime wedges! All too often I get dried up sad little lime wedges with my tacos, but these were some phat limes and were so juicy, perfect for squeezing over tacos! This place also has a great selection of jarritos! I don't see the guava one in stores too often anymore so I had to get one while I was here today. Thank you for a wonderful dinner, El Nopal!

Just horrible! I ordered the chicken burrito, steak burrito, enchiladas ( 2 cheese, 1 chicken, 1 beef ), and the chicken, steak and shrimp fajita platter. The steak on the burrito was cold. The enchiladas were SMOTHERED in mole sauce, the chicken enchilada had no seasoning and was dry, the beef enchilada was just plain fried hamburger. The refried beans were runny, probably because they were dehydrated instant beans. The fajitas tasted good after you get past the pound of fried peppers, but you only get extra small tortillas to put it on. The server (if you can call her that ) brought out the food with no plates to put anything on and only 2 sets of plastic ware. We had 3 in our party and I had to go ask for plates and more forks. When she came to check on us she asked if we were doing ok. I told her everything was terrible, she told someone behind the counter what I said. Nobody came to follow up on that. When I cashed out they still didn't ask how anything was. We hardly ate any of the food, nor did we take it with when we left. I honestly don't know how they have the good reviews that they have. But, my son is in the Air Force here and he'll be sure to tell the rest on base they should skip this place and just go to Taco Bell.

This is my go to taco place in Dover, the staff are friendly and efficient. My co-workers and I come here for lunch often, we always order ahead so that way when we sit down to eat our food is ready. I always get the shrimp tacos American style, and they are delicious! I also get a side of rice just to complete my meal. 🥰 Of course I can't leave here without having my fav, an horchata to drink!

We are regulars here. The food is authentic and the service is always great. Nice little spot for lunch/dinner if you enjoy real mexican food. Try the mole if you like a sweet and savory dish.

Very clean establishment and ample parking. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, I went there to try their flan. Based upon pictures of the menu people have submitted, I saw there might be up to four different kinds. When I arrived they said they only had chocoflan. Looking at their website I could see that the chocoflan looked really good. I ordered it and the horchata. As you can see from the pictures, the menu picture and the website picture did not look anything like the piece of flan I got. The cake and flan mixture was meh. I would never order that again. The horchata on the other hand was very good. They also gave me chips and salsa which were pretty good too. I will come back at another time and try their food items.

Outstanding Mexican food, they give you great fresh chips and salsa while you wait and them they bring out your food and it is delicious. Nothing fancy, you pay at the counter when you are done, but the least fancy Mexican places are often the most delicious. Kitschy Mexican decor hanging on the walls, great food, wonderful hole-in-the-wall joint in Dover. Would highly recommend to anyone who lives in the area or is passing through. I had the quesadilla with steak and it was absolutely delicious. So were the refried beans. Amazing Mexican, I love it!

I’ve lived here in Dover for more than 10 years and I’m just now finding out about this gem! Clean spot, friendly staff, and amazing authentic Mexican food!! My go to are the chorizo and shrimp tacos Mexican style with rice! Please don’t sleep on this spot!!! I don’t want to give too much away, just trust me and try it out for yourself! Can’t wait for the second location to open up, it will literally be in walking distance from my house😩😩😋😋

Best Chicken Street Tacos around!!! The presentation is amazing and the prices are unbeatable! Don’t forget the Pico de gallo!

Food was absolutely amazing Birria tacos were soooooo good and staff was very quick and friendly definitely the best Mexican food I've had in Delaware a must go.

My favorite hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Whether you’re taking your meal to go or eating in one of the colorful booths, this place always delivers. Like to get fajitas or birria tacos, they are insanely good 😊 I have also had the steak burrito which was delicious. I appreciate that they don’t over complicate simple food and just deliver amazing quality every time.

Do not order from here. the tacos ain’t even good, they’re rude and won’t give you your chips and salsa even if you say you paid for them. Save your money honey

There Tacos are amazing. I just had there chorizo tacos and they were way better then La.Hacienda. there tamales and fajitas were average. But the tacos with there pico was awesome.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant! So authentic! Best Mexican food I've had since living in DE the birria is fantastic but my absolute favorite are the chorizo tacos! So flipping good. The actual building aesthetically leaves a bit to be desired, but the food is fantastic and you won't be disappointed !

I am so sorry I didn't take pictures, the food was AMAZING, the atmosphere was very simple but clean, we had to wait a bit before they took our order but I will be back for the food. We had guacamole that was delicious, my friend had sopes and I had a tamale, I consider myself a tamale lover and this one was authentic and delicious. If you are looking for authentic delicious Mexican food, this is the place to go. They have ample parking in the back. The prices are very affordable also.

The Lil chick at the counter. The reviews was correct. My first time there no help. Shoved a menu in my face after she saw me reading one when I came in. I ordered Mexican tacos. I asked her any sauces she shooing me away like I'm a fly, saying no dry dry, still trying to ask her what can I put on this driness. I told her she was ignorant like the reviews said. I will stick to my own kind...WILL NEVER BE BACK
