I Haven't ate here in about a month but this was one of my favorite spots they must have changed there bread because this bread taste old and does not taste good at all. You have to have a great bread to start any good sub didn't even finish my food. Sad

I’ve ridden past this store a thousand times but never stopped I recently was working right next door to this business and I hadn’t had breakfast yet so I decided to check it it out.... I just came in today for the first time in a very long time, I've not ate a sub from here since I was a little girl and it's been awhile for my mom. She wanted to buy me lunch today and I've been craving for a good Italian, I am beyond thrilled they still have the BEST SUBS Hands down in the whole state of Delaware. If you live her and have not tried them please do yourself a favor and go check them out even if you are just riding threw, you will not be disappointed. It's just as I remember growing up if not better!! I wish I coukd woot and rave more about this place but once you try it, it speaks for itself. As well as the very polite and friendly customer service. <3

What I ordered: cheesesteak with provolone cheese, mayo, grilled onions, light sweet peppers, black pepper, and oregano. What I got: cheesesteak with American cheese, and ketchup. 😑🤬🤬🤬🤬

I have been going here for years and this is the first time I had to bring a sub back..had 2 kind of peppers and the wrong cheese.I ordered salt and pepper and ex cheese....the problem was the attitude when I brought it back ! I go and tell her who I am "its up front " a lil girl hands it to me no bag no sorry nonething....I am BIG on customer service and they made me feel like they don't need any customers so....GOOD LUCK I won't be back for bad attitudes...

First time coming to this spot. Got an Italian sub and a side of homemade meat balls. The sub was on point, and the meatballs were great, definitely homemade. Will be back

I live in Dover all my 30 some years and i love the subs there's no where else that compares

Everytime my wife and I come to Dover we always stop and get us a sub from here on our way home. Great subs here and the only place to my Canada Dry Vanilla Cream Soda from can't find it in NC where I live.

Super swanky little town deli/store. Very nice people, got a chicken salad wrap.. super bland unfortunately.

Meat sliced way too thick, really throws off the harmony of the sub. An appropriate amount of meat, and good value otherwise. They need to get the fly situation under control. Very friendly staff added a star to what otherwise would be a 3 star review.

Another place that makes me feel like I stepped back in time with the slamming screen door and the wonderful deli aroma. First time in after seeing someone's post on Facebook and they definitely didn't disappoint. Staff was awesome and the subs more than met my expectations!!!! I'll be a regular for sure!

Found this hidden gem one day I was driving on Division Street off of Route 1. I had never been that way before. I thought I was seeing things as I passed the little grocer and it didn't take me long to turn around and check it out. I ordered a turkey sub the first time. I was not disappointed. Came back. Had a three meat sub, the next time a turkey club and then the cheesesteak and today split an Italian sub with a buddy I'm working with. He had never been there before and doesn't know how he missed it. There's even the ice cream shop as seen in photo. They let us sit at the table and eat our subs because I bought a drink from them. We're not sure if it's the same family owned business as the little grocer, but this old mom and pop shop is an awesome find, great staff and that old fashioned charm. The food is beyond our expectations and better than we thought. Will be back on another lunch break soon.

UPDATE 2022: I changed from 5 star to 2- this place isn’t what it used to be. They don’t accept EBT anymore which hurt a lot of customers, and the service was absolutely trash. I stood there to pick up my order at counter and it took 10 mins for someone to acknowledge me. Then I got a fountain soda with my sub and it was just syrup water and disgusting. Very subpar and I do not plan on returning. I started going back to the Grocery Basket. Always friendly and have great subs. I love how their turkey isn't like straight deli meat, squares. It's funny how if you go in there to pick up and they do not have an order under your name they know to call The Grocery Basket as they always get mixed up.

I couldn't put my finger on it but I noticed something was different about the sub. It just didn't taste the same. Then I noticed the bread was different. The bread was hard on the bottom, was coming apart on top and had seeds on the bottom of the bread. I wish they would return to the old bread they used to use.

I’ve heard about the Little Grocer and had never ordered. Recently ordered a Italian sub the best I’ve ever had. Today, I ordered on line it was very busy and again my sub was so good. Please give it a try I was very impressed. Great Work by the little Grocer Crew!

I love this place ! The made to order sandwiches are always fabulous and service is always provided with enthusiasm and a smile. Makes the whole experience so pleasant and worthwhile. Highly recommend this lovely little sandwich joint.

Stopped in for the vegan ice cream at Mommomm's on the way to the beach and grabbed a veggie sub. My first time here and I couldn't have been more pleased. A good amount of fresh veggies to choose from (they have spinach!) and the roll was delicious. I was so happy with the sub I stopped and grabbed another on my way home. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and moved quickly. Looking forward to the next time!
