I've been living in the Dover area for two years, and been visiting the area for about six years but never visited the mall until now. I was impressed with the size and variety of stores. The place was clean and well kept. Unlike most indoor malls today, this mall had most of the tenant suites occupied. There were clothing stores, department stores, movie theater, arcade, food eateries and even amusement places like Space Wars. Definitely more than expected.

This mall is a bit outdated compared to Christiana. But, it does get less traffic than Christiana so I guess that can be expected. I'm surprised that there are a couple new stores that are supposedly being built there. I guess that's good.

Reminds me of a mall in my hometown before it closed. Some of the anchor stores are gone and That's usually a sign of decline. The mall itself has most of its basic stores but I fear it won't be around too much longer.

I was very surprised by the size of the mall. and all the stores were open and ready for business. When I'm in the area for home coming next year I will definitely remember my experience.

I really enjoyed my visit to the mall, ESPECIALLY food stores.... huge variety fair prices....a place I strongly STRONGLY advise to $pend ....I've seen many beautiful mall closings...this one is thriving...please keep it that way. I enjoyed a visit to the Speedway...it should have more visitors....they bring people to Delaware, like me. If they close, you will save a few buck now ... buy in time your property values will begin to disappear as will reasons to come to this beautiful state. TIME TO DIG into your pockets to let the moths out...at least once in a while treat yourselves to these beautiful places.

Was here briefly. Arcade was whack. Mall seemed quiet. Very clean, smelled like a hospital.

Went for a movie....my husband and son-in-law went to one and my daughter and granddaughters and I to another. After we ate and then took the girls to Clare's and got their ears pierced!! It was a GREAT day at a really nice and SAFE Mall for the family.

It's sad how many big stores are longer present in Dover Mall. I'm surprise the mall still gets busy or foot track. I remember the Blue Hen mall being open and being the best mall ever before the Dover Mall came and took business north of Dover. Now, the Dover Mall some 40 years later is looking desolate. I primarily go to the mall to shop at JCPENNY. It's sad the overwhelming amount of stores that have gone out-of-business or relocated to a different area of Dover. Even with the growing prices of movie tickets, I'm wondering if the AMC theater is getting positive showing. Nowadays, most people are awaiting movies to be streamed or that saying Netflix & Chill.

If you have a partnership with a movie theater, you both need to be on the same page with mall hours and movie times...because AMC had movie showings on a Sunday at 10 and 11am but because the mall doesn't open till 12 they turned everyone away. Communication is key...

Clean, safe, has the essential stores for a quick visit. Food court is ok, the theater needs updated seats and sound to compete with Westtown and Cinemark. Two closed anchors, NO restaurants, too many vacancies. Without new stores, without an overhaul, and without some great onsite restaurants and amenities it's tough to really enjoy a visit like a day to Christiana Mall.

Needs get more stores in, replace the empty store fronts. Boscovs is the only anchor store. The mall is going under fast.

Dover mall is okay. The problem is that no really good stores want to come because there are not enough people (foot traffic) and a lot of people pass on this mall because lack of great stores. A vicious catch 22.

Boscov's is my store for sweats! Wish their Champion's were not so expensive! Use to always get ours there! But now wearing other bands n happy w them! But love my Champion's! The black man who is cashier in that department "I love him!" 🤗He is always calm n delightful! I think his name is Chris! Great sales in shoe department as well! All their staff r delightful! We drive over a hour to get there but always worth it! Thank you for keeping us looking good in the neighborhood even if we do live on 50 acres full of tree's!!😁😜🙃😝🤣🤠

Third time same day!!! Before work, lunch break, after work... SMH! WHAT are the hours exactly??? This is NOT the place to come shopping. Mallnowners need to crack down on this. Stores doing this are the reason the mall is dying

Despite what people say, this is in no way a dead mall. A lot of new stores have been opening up recently and auntie Anne's always has amazing pretzels. My favorite aspect of the place is how it looks. The whole mall was last updated around 1992 and it shows. I absolutely love it! There's neon signs in the boscovs still and it even has the original skylights. Recently they've been renovating a lot of spaces so I'm not sure how much longer it will remain a time capsule like this. I see more and more people every time I go there. Glad to see there's just as many people who love it as much as I do.

This mall really depressed me compared to the Dover Mall of our childhoods. It’s like there are more empty stores than filled ones at times. And other than the old faithfuls like Bath&BodyWorks, Old Navy,Victorias Secret and the shoe stores that mall is terrible. The rest of the stores belong in the Farmers Market really. And the food court is dead as hell. Really that mall was always busy and growing up it was the coolest place on earth. Now it feels so empty and deserted. I Just wanna cry when I get in my car every time I leave there. It’s truly sad.

I love this Mall. It is always nice and clean. So much to look at and plenty of choices to shop from. Of course Christmas time is my favorite time to visit, because everything is all decorated and beautiful.

A tall black guy began yelling at my five year old daughter and I as we entered the mens restroom. A janitor joined the tall black man in yelling at us. We entered the restroom and relieved ourselves in an enclosed stall while the tall black man continued yelling at us. While exiting, the black man was sitting on a bench outside the restroom and mall security was standing near him. I went to some police sitting in the mall court and told them what happened. The police confronted the man, took notes about the incident, and asked the head of mall security to speak to us. The head of mall security informed us that we can use whatever restroom we want, but they prefer that families use a special family restroom that you have to ask permission to use. The police were nice and escorted us to our vehicle since we were leaving anyway. Mall security did nothing to prevent, stop, or remedy the situation, no apology, nothing. This mall is not family friendly. In fact, they support large men whom yell at families for using their facilities.

Depressingly small, and hardly anything to do in there. If you go during a weekday, there's a 95% chance that it'll look like a ghost town. Employees of the various stores usually look bored stiff just sitting there in limbo while almost nothing happens around them, which I don't fault them for at all. Even on most weekends that I end up going there, it's hardly populated at all, considering that it's a mall. Random small stores tend to come and go here at the blink of an eye, their Macy's location here is just outright closed down now (making the closest one all the way up at the Christiana Mall), and the parking lot is abysmal to navigate in (gods forbid it be raining, snowing, or simply too dark outside, or else you're going to be struggling to see the hardly-painted parking spaces... or the various potholes that dot the area). Just another massive monument that stands as not much else besides a testament to how much of a rundown hole Dover is these days. If you can, I'd just go up to the Christiana Mall, instead (just don't go from there, back to here... it's a notable and disorienting step down, like that). That mall genuinely feels like an oasis in the "fun things to do" desert that is the state of Delaware, whereas the Dover Mall feels like a puddle in that same desert that's slowly but surely drying up. Which is really upsetting, since this mall used to actually be active and fun to be at ages ago, but now it's just a sad husk of what it used to be.

Had to return 2 sets of sheets to Boscov's. Bought them on sale likev2 weeks ago. Quality was extremely poor. First thing I have ever returned to Boscov's due to poor quality. Very, very disappointed. Definitely a come on sale item at a deceiving low price point. When I want a sale, it should be on quality products, not bargain, low grade products. Boscov's should be better than to stoop this low for a sale. Very disappointing 😞.

Not a big selection of stores; small mall. Some stores aren't open during mall hours (seem to have own hours)... Alot of parking and minimum foot traffic. This mall reminds me of the old Cheltenham mall.

Mall is good for what you need to get done. Clothes, movies, food ext. Half the mall it used to be. It atmosphere is stale. Not a complete bummer. Best to watch a movie and then go shopping.

Standard mall, not the best I've been too in regards to atmosphere/people.I like that I see myself not going there that much and saving money. I might try a mall in Wilmington or Philly something with more.

For Capitol of Delaware and college and military town I find it great it has little bit of everything for everyone. Primary target is the younger generation and families. I have no complaints. All stores offer discounts and kid friendly. Besides there's oodles of surrounding stores. Don't miss a quality shopping experience.

At first I didn't think it was a mall because no was in there. It's a decent mall but a lot of stores was closed or wasn't open. The food court was amazing. It does look like it's closed down but it's not once you get inside the mall.

Went to the movie theater to see the new doctor strange. The movie was great the only problem was a group of obnoxious kids. I understand the situation could have been fixed if a worker was told but that's not what happened. My rating isnt to criticize the people who work there it's only to rate my experience. I ask if you are to go and see a movie then please be mindful of those around you.

The hours on the weekend might need to be adjusted. Several people cane and went before the doors opened. Letting people into the mall instead of waiting outside seems a better practice. Overall it is a nice mall with lots of parking.

Out of state visitor. Malls in my area have this same look and feel. Quite a few closed stores makes the massive parking lot look really empty. Good collection of store still here.

Very functional mall right next to Bally's casino on route 13, it's very family oriented. My son and I go to the movies - AMC, really nice definitely will go back and check the movies out and and hit the stores in the mall, and definitely the food court

As with most malls, this one is starting to feel a little sparse. The shops that remain are nice and there's some great food available in the food court.

Closes entirely too early and rarely gets new merchandise. Only good for hanging out with friends and family, much rather would take a trip to Christiana or even king of Prussia

I've been coming to this mall since the 1980's. It isn't what it once was, but it's not bad for a mall in 2023. There are some good shopping and dining options and even a AMC movie theater. There are several national chain stores with some independents sprinkled in. It's generally only busy when DSU is in session and even then it's not bad. A good option for some tax-free shopping.

  • 4/5 James A. 7 months ago on Google
Located in Dover off etc 13, they have lost Macy’s, jc penny’s only has limited hours with some shops closed. Malls are becoming ghost towns due to online shopping and the economy. I would recommend a trip to the mall to all mall goers as you can still find bargains here.

  • 3/5 Terrenna G. 10 months ago on Google
Unfortunately, too many stores are closing or moving. It is a shame, a once thriving place. The movie theater is so dated, I feel like I could be robbed in there

Welp, since I went four places to find pegboard for a project and FINALLY found help, I'd give it a good rating. At first, it was slow going. BUT, then a great older fellow, Dale offered to help me. Had trouble finding the right sizing. I showed him my project, he immediately know how to help me cut and measure EXACTLY what I needed. ALSO how to put it together. Two of the places I had tried said they couldn't cut the pegboard. One, the in store saw was broken. So Dale was priceless!!!! He definitely knows his stuff and was very patient and friendly. They also offer a military discount. That always helps.

This is one of the worst Malls I’ve been to that was owned by Simon Property Groups. The food court needs some remodeling/revitalization. It’s also really dated compared to most Simon properties I’ve been to! But they do have a charleys, and I love charleys!

Enjoyed some retail therapy, a nice massage, unfortunately you cannot trust all staff as I proceeded into the restroom witnessing the woman The woman she just cleaned the bathroom to go into the very first stall and to find out not only how nasty women really are but was left in a very unsanitary don't know where these women are thinking they live or are kind of way it was gross. She quickly acted surprised like there was only three people in a 20 stall bathroom and half butt clean the stall with nothing but her foot. And the soap dispenser was empty. Other than that it was a great day

Boring mall. Literally only go cause it’s the only mall in the area that isn’t almost an hour away. Needs so many new stores so people can shop and like it or just remodel the mall entirely. It has so many closed places or places that open and get replaced so often it’s like nothing can stay and what does isn’t that great and is only open cause it would be no where else. Could be so much better and have so many more food options, store options and have better opening hours. Only good place chicken now 😂
