Good place to get fresh-made to order food. The mahi mahi tacos were well-prepared. The service is very good as well. Plenty of space for larger parties as well. TVs abound around the bar so good place to catch a game. Nice selection of draft beers to choose from.

WOW! Such a great experience at Pierce Tavern! An awesome downtown spot with exceptional food! I had the Teriyaki Salmon and my wife had the double decker chicken tacos! The salmon was cooked to perfection with crumbled cashews, greens, pickled onions, all on a bed of jasmine rice with a teriyaki sauce drizzle.. it was incredible! My wife stated the chicken tacos where absolutely incredible with the perfect about of spice! Highly recommend this place if you are in the area!

The visit here started off a little rocky because the hostess was not welcoming or friendly at all. We came in and she did not greet us. We asked for a table for 4, and she grabbed some menus and simply walked away, so we assumed that meant we needed to follow. We got to the table, and she sat the menus down and again, she walked away. Now, let’s get to the good part our waiter was phenomenal. His name was Jordan. He was very insightful about the restaurant and the menu items. His knowledge and awesome customer service made up for the unprofessional hostess. Let me tell you, everything we ordered was really good! For appetizers, we got the buffalo style cauliflower bites and the cheese curds. For entrees, we got the brisket grilled cheese w/onion rings, brisket grilled cheese w/Brussel sprouts, Philly cheesesteak w/sweet potato fries, and the blackened salmon+kale. Then, for the dessert, we ordered the banana pudding. This was the only pic that I remembered to take (because the food was so good I forgot to take others, lol). I would definitely recommend eating here if you can get past the hostess’s negative demeanor. Ask for Jordan as your server because you will be highly satisfied because he does not disappoint! I would've rated them a 5 if not for the rudeness of the host.

This place is amazing. When we arrived they initially said it would be 20 minute wait and was only 5 minutes. The atmosphere is very relaxing and feels private even when the restraunt is full. Love the decor (especially the book wall). Food was great had the spicy chicken tacos with animal fries and I highly recommend them! Wide beer selection. Everything came our quick and hot. Would recommend to anyone looking for great food with a relaxing atmosphere!

It's always really busy here, bur for good reason. One of the BEST places for burgers. We got the West Coast (pictured) and the Tavern burger with their Chicken Slider app. Delicioua food and fast and friendly service. Great seasonal cocktails too.

Staff was friendly. Food was OK. The fries are a little greasy and the chips were dry (could use some spices). Bergers were good. Grilled perfectly. BBQ sauce on the mustang was really good. kids Shrimp review from my 9 year old: greasy, hard to chew, and falls apart easily. Kids burger fromy 11 year old: Tastes like a burger.

Pierce Tavern is such a hidden gem! The ambience is super relaxed and cozy. Everything was clean. The cocktails are absolutely amazing. The food is delicious. And the service was fantastic. Rose was wonderful - such a great personality, had great recommendations, and timed out all the food we ordered perfectly, which we really appreciated. Definitely can't wait to go back!

We came here on my friends recommendation and there was not a miss with the food. We had the chicken chili dip which was fantastic. I ordered the blueberry vanilla sour and my friend ordered a cocktail both of which were delicious. We shared the goudacris burger and the brisket grilled cheese with the truffle parmesan fries. The burger was my favorite and the fries were outstanding. My only complaint is the long wait and there's no reservations or wait list so we sat outside on a chilly night and the heaters they had just weren't cutting it.

Great dining experience! Everything we had was so good. Our server was friendly and attentive. Their patio is perfect for a cozy dinner and cocktail.

Rose C. was the waitress who took care of us and she was absolutely amazing. She remembers your orders no matter how long it is, great energy and personable. By far the best service and dinner experience because of her. We ordered the cheese curds, cup of chili, brisket grilled cheese and the Mustang burger. All were very delicious. Ordered cocktails that Rose recommended and we enjoyed all of them. Will definitely visit again.

Pierce Tavern was a fun and Lively Sports Bar and a great place to get a drink and a bite to eat. I appreciate the great menu with many different kinds of choices. We got their beef brisket tacos, Greek chicken, and a hamburger, and all of our food was served hot and correct to order. The wait staff at Pierce Tavern were friendly and accommodating. The various types of Moscow Mules were super great! We definitely will come back to this place. Five stars!

This is a decent spot! Food and service are good and the menu is definitely unique and interesting. I personally love the animal fries and would highly recommend upgrading to them if possible. The vibe of the place is very relaxed and loud, so I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you have any hearing problems or aren’t a fan of loud places.

Pierce Tavern has quickly become a staple in Downers Grove. It’s prime, corner lot location in downtown Downers makes it easily accessible by both train and car. I’ve had multiple dishes on the menu and each is as good as the next. I’m honestly a pretty tough critic, but have to say this place is always at top of mind when planning dinner and drinks. The bartenders are quick, friendly, and efficient. Management seems present and attentive to operations as well.

I would come here for lunch with my friends. food is good and the drinks are too! Waiters are very polite and helpful. This place is very busy and popular. Their nachos are the best , you can add chicken or meat to them for an up charge. Also feeds 2-3 people.

Good food that's quite a bit over priced. Hamburger with fries 'Special' for $17 isn't at all special. Noisy as a discotheque. Beautiful late spring day, yet they didn't open the roll-up overhead doors to let out the noise and let in the fresh air. Waitress disappeared for quite awhile. Didn't provide a list of beers on tap. Three sour beers on tap, Guinness and something else. Said annoyingly "Are we enjoying the beer?" My son was drinking a Margarita. I was the only one drinking beer. Way better off to go 3 doors to the south to Another Round Bar & Grill.. Better food at lower prices, many more beers on tap and intensely quite.

I recently visited West Coast Burger and to say the least, my experience was less than satisfactory. I ordered a burger with fries. To my dismay, I found a long hair in my fries. This is definitely not something one expects or wishes to see in their food. Immediately, I asked the staff to remake it. However, this incident put a damper on my lunchtime as the food preparation took much longer than expected. To avoid any further inconvenience, I called ahead and requested for my order to be ready at 3:15 PM. Unfortunately, my request was misheard and they thought I said 3:50 PM. I ended up waiting for a considerable amount of time, which was far from ideal. This incident has not only left a bitter taste but has also considerably impacted my view on the restaurant's service. A food establishment's success relies not only on its food quality but also on its customer service. Regrettably, in my recent visit to West Coast Burger, both seemed to lack. The experience was disappointing, and improvements are desperately needed. I hope they take this review seriously and make necessary changes for better customer experience in the future.

I came here on a whim to take myself out for a date night and they did not disappoint! I tried The Librarian, one of their house infused drinks, and the blackberry mule and wow. I ordered their tavern burger and again another hit! I can’t wait to bring my friends. My server Brian S was phenomenal and really nice. It was an awesome take myself on a date night!

Awesome place - Staff & Food - Excellent service too! Great place for lunch and or dinner with easy street parking. I can’t believe it’s been there five years and I just found it yesterday.

Nice warm and comfortable place to eat...good prices and very friendly crew. Mustang burger with parm fries was delicious!

Now i see why this place is always busy! The food is delicious ! we had the smoked wings which were tasteful ! The homemade chips were crispy & seasoned perfectly. The tavern burger was messy, but delicious as well. The cubano sandwich my girlfriend had wasnt it though. The bread they use is really not meant for it so the meat to bread ratio is off. Thats the only downside , but we will be back to try the rest of the menu!

After walking around the downtown area, on a Thursday Afternoon this was the only place hoppin and after eating there I now know why. They served fusion food.. everything from traditional chicken wings to poke wontons, which is very much what I was used to after living in the Bay Area. From the few dishes we had, we were pretty impressed. The sweet chili calamari was excellent, hickory smoked brisket chilly was very delicious and filling, and the buffalo chicken sammie was tasty, but honestly the first two dishes where hard to follow

If you get anything here it better be the cheese curds. Came here on a Sunday night and it had a decent crowd the entire time. My group ordered 11 different things from apps to deserts and by far the best thing was the cheese curds, they were amazing. Calamari was extremely sub par and was the worse thing we had. Burgers were pretty bland but cooked well. Chicken pot pie was the equivalent taste of the Costco ones. Fried chicken was good and came with a plethora of food. BLT was also good. Drinks were on par with the area just wish the drink menu was more expansive. Overall I think there are better options in the downtown area and we found this place to be good but extremely over hyped.
