I love this restaurant! Always the best dishes and a great personal. A great choice for dinning out! I love the service, the food and the drinks. I love the perfect atmosphere and the warmth environment.

Delicious food & great service! We recently went for a large party (of 16) & our servers were excellent, equally matched with our meals-everything was delicious. Gatto's atmosphere is terrific for any occasion. :)

Stopped in for lunch during the Fine Arts Festival this weekend. Had a really really enjoyable lunch. Grilled calamari had a tasty spin on it and our salads were generous and delicious. We were not hurried or rushed yet the staff were attentive and very pleasant. We will be back!

It was my first time here last night for dinner and it’s one of the best places I’ve been. The service was like no other, everyone made sure everything was good. The main waiter was able to mix somethings in the menu because I couldn’t make up my mind. Will definitely be back soon!

We had a family party for a family member turning 90. The food and service and pricing was great. We also were able to put up some decorations. The staff really helped us with picking the menu and room setup. Thank you to everyone at Gatto’s for helping us with this great event.

The service was excellent. I needed to set up a funeral luncheon, they were so kind and accommodating. They made it stress free and beautiful. I will be forever grateful. The food was delicious. My guests loved everything. The calamari was excellent.

Whitefish was just okay it seemed mushy with the sauce they put on there The clams had way too much breading on them. Next time leave some clam inside the clam My husband had the tortellini which he said was good. The calamari was very tasty I would scrape that fish dish off the menu. My opinion

OK so up front this place was good. But nothing unique or really exciting about the menu. Bread was good and plentiful, service was really good and attentive, food was good and portions were really big. Entrees were cooked well and we enjoyed our dinner. If you are looking for a solid meal with leftovers this place won't disappoint. We went with a group of 8 and they accommodated us no problem(we made a reso night before). There was a large party going on in thier back room as well, but our food came out fast and fresh. I did not pick this place, and I lean towards more unique cuisine, but if you are looking for a spot that will please everyone and you will leave full, this won't disappoint.

I brought my Christian brother in law and my sister to this place, and we loved the vibe it gave us. When the waiter came around, he was patient with us, especially that day we were a little chatty. He was very knowledgeable about all of the menu. The food didn't take long, was right, and we started to pray for our meal, not one peep from the entire place. Wow, like they were showing us the respect of silence. Big thumbs up. We tipped extra. Yes, all utensils and dishes were clean! I'll be coming back, no doubt.

The service was terrible. I scheduled a company holiday dinner party for our team. They didn't even ask if we wanted a drink for over 30 mins and I had to ask them first. Then we ordered appetizers, they came out and were very good, we ordered another order of appetizers for people who came later. They never came. I asked about them twice but never received them. Our entrees came and the food was delicious. We ordered desert and they didn't bring a slice of cake one of our people ordered? We never received any apology or accommodation for our poor service. We won't go again.

Gattos is a gem in Downers Grove! It’s my favorite place to go with a large group because there is something for everyone. They easily accommodate 3 generations: from seating, menu and screen options. We have catered from Gattos for several family parties and the portions are generous and the quality matches the plated meals you get in the restaurant. Highly recommend the baked gnocchi!

I don’t know how they do it but the service and the Atmosphere was relaxing and Welcoming… So much better than the other places… Ask for Mara at the Bar… She’ll help you forget about your busy day with a wonderful crafted cocktail!!!

I absolutely loved my cheese tortellini meal and my son's vodka sauce with rigatoni however my other halfs lasagna wasn't right. Only way I can explain it is you couldn't really see the layers in it and it gave it a processed texture and the best part of lasagna is the ricotta cheese and there was barely any ricotta cheese in it. It had a good flavor other than the ricotta being barely there but the texture was weird. The sausage I ordered with my meal was also delicious. Overall this place was fantastic but had to give 3 stars because you can't go to an Italian restaurant and the lasagna isn't made properly and reminds you of processed food not homemade. The wait staff was absolutely wonderful even though we got there 30 min before closing. Extremely friendly and polite and efficient and didn't rush us. I rushed us because I felt bad and wouldn't want that done to me. I also didn't like the fact there wasn't an option for fresh parmesan cheese like I have had at any other Italian restaurant I have been to.

It was nice and food was very good. I did NOT like the tall, young, male waiter picking up our water pitcher by putting his fingers inside the pour spout to refill it from another. Use the HANDLE!!! Our waitress was great, though.

Just had dinner tonight for the first time after moving into Downers Grove. Great food, great experience. Your staff was incredible!! We will be back! Thanks for the hospitality your amazing group gave us we will definitely be telling all of our friends!!

At the Downers Grove location our group of 7 had dinner and we could not have been more pleased! Sebrina and her team of assistant wait staff were so courteous and professional, it was truly impressive how seamlessly they provided for our needs. The food, appetizers and dinners, were delicious and with very generous portions. I highly recommend Gatto's for future enjoyment!

Food is out of this world amazing. Our server Nick was amazing and super nice. The manager Amanda was an angel. Honestly 5 stars is not enough. Going to be having a baby shower here.

We were visiting Downers Grove for a production my daughter is a part of, and we decided to get dinner before we left. My daughter wanted "pasta," and a quick Google search sent us down the road to Gatto's. Our first impression was very positive. Seeing that they offered indoor/outdoor seating was the perfect compromise because she wanted to be indoors, I wanted to be outside, so we both got our ways. We were immediately seated and brought the most fantastic loaf of bread with butter while we decided on our appetizer and meals. We ended up getting the fried zucchini, which was PERFECT...most places overcook it to mush, but this was cooked through while still being slightly firm. Oh, and did I mention the bread just kept coming?? Aaannnddd, we just kept eating it! By the time our food came (which really didn't take long at all!) we had filled up on the bread, so we took most of our entrees home. I got the lasagna and it was cheesy and meaty and flavorful... probably the best damn lasagna I've had other than my own. My daughter had the ravioli with marinara and she really liked it. We have to come back to town in a few weeks and I'll be back to try some of the wines I saw on the wine list and I'm really looking forward to their signature salad. Definitely 5 stars!

Wonderful experience! Food was great but the staff was even better. Right from the start the hostess was very friendly and accommodating. Bartender was great! He took the time to make sure our drinks were made just the way we liked them and they didn't disappoint. And our waiter was just as good as the others, friendly and accommodating. Best customer service experience we've had in years!

Food and service were amazing! I inhaled the Chicken Saltimbocca and the Lasagna was delicious, very generous portions. The Minestrone and Split Pea soups were great starters. Whiskey Sour was in a tall glass, good price. The Espresso Martini and Mango Italian Ice were wonderful desserts.
