Me and my wife love to come here on our days off for some breakfast. I usually get the omelette but if I’m not in the mood for breakfast I then would get the turkey bacon Swiss sandwich. Friendly staff, good food, reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Happy to see Pop's Cafe manage to stay open after the pandemic. Last time I ate here was late 2019. Great ambience and great food. Order the usual breakfast item Polish sausage and scrambled eggs and was not disappointed I order the hash brown extra crispy and love it. Would recommend Pop's cafe

The food was good and not overly salty which can happen at a lot of breakfast and brunch places. I had the chicken fried steak and my boyfriend had the pork chop. There was just enough food to completely fill me up. We also had the pancakes and biscuits and gravy. My boyfriend liked the pancakes I thought the biscuits and gravy were just okay. Chicken fried steak and pork chop were very good.

This place is ridiculous! Their serving is so unprofessional and disgusting, the egg has no salt what so ever, sausages were burnt and the French toast was so stiff.

Good food. I felt like I was on vacation eating in a small town cafe. Great job to pops cafe.

I am from the south, born and raised. My best friend and me were on vacation in LA and decided to try this place on a whim. We came back *every day* for the rest of our vacation. Ivan was our server most of those days and he was INCREDIBLE! Everyone there was, to be fair. The food was top tier, better than a lot of places here in the actual south. I can't think of any higher praise than saying those biscuits and gravy were better than my grandmas. If you're looking for a place with amazing, mouth watering food, great service, and a homey vibe, look no further. We plan on flying back out just to eat there again. Our favorite southern breakfast joint is 2400 miles away, and we can't *wait* to go back!

Breakfast is delicious to the max! Definitely prefer eating here more than any other restaurant. Very great service as well by the waiters and waitress, if you get Teresa to help you out, she's amazing!

This is a small neighborhood cafe. They serve breakfast(which I've had) and lunch (which I haven't tried). It's located in a small shopping area with what seems, has more stores then parking can accommodate. So if it's during peak business hours, parking may be a challenge. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The cafe, is what you'd expect from a neighborhood diner..called pop's cafe..food is decent and reasonably priced. We ordered the gourmet omelette and a vegetarian omelette, with toast...the meals were filling. They make their own salsa.

My family and I are on vacation from Texas. We were passing through and stopped here for breakfast. It is absolutely a gem of a restaurant with excellent food and service! I had waffles, eggs and bacon with a side of biscuits and gravy. My husband had an omelet with homemade hash browns. Our son had the french toast. The coffee was the best we had in a long time. We highly recommend! Our son also lost his baby tooth while here, and the waiter gave him a hot wheels car to cheer him up. Thank you for the delicious breakfast!

Just what I had hoped for! A small Mom and Pop Cafe with affordable good food served with a friendly atmosphere and service. My Pop would have loved to come here with me if he were still on this pile of dirt.

Good food at reasonable prices. The place was packed but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Our waiter was excellent and took care of us. I will definitely come back and try another item from the menu!

Visited this place on my honeymoon with my husband (we come from Ohio) and I gotta say the staff were extremely nice! I wish people in Ohio would take notes and learn from these people!! (The service in Ohio is NEVER that good Lol)but besides the great service, the food was 10/10. The pancakes were bigger than my entire skull and my husband seemed very pleased with the corned beef hash. If we ever visit Downey again, we will gladly visit this place again. Thank you for everything!

It was our first time trying out this place and I’m glad we decided to come here. Service is great. All the servers were nice and attentive. Also, the food is really good and very good price. We’re definitely going to be coming back often.

The best country fried steak with mushrooms grate flavor

Ordered the steak and eggs, potatoes and substituted the bread for biscuits and gravy. Everything was amazing! Great flavor and great portions. Kids loved their food. My daughter is a picky eater and she loved her cheeseburger and fries. Abby our waitress was awesome. Very helpful and even though they were busy she always came to check on us and was very patient with our questions. When we arrived there was a line outside but they are very quick here. As soon as a family is done eating they clean up and get ready for the next customers. Our first time here but definitely not our last.

The food was awesome! Believe the pictures you see online. As good as the food was the staff was friendly and attentive to make sure we had a good experience. Eating there again tomorrow morning our last morning in L.A. before heading back to Louisiana... the other LA.

Went here with a brother of mine and his daughter, very busy for a Friday morning but that is because of how delicious the food is and how great the service is. Very friendly staff and all help one another take care of the customers. Country fried steak was cooked perfectly and the hash browns were crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. I will definitely be back for a delicious breakfast.

The attention of the place and the food are very good. Prices are according to what you receive. If you want to come with your family for the weekend, you'd better come early, it's a very busy place and you have to wait for a table. For the rest, I give it 5 stars.

I Especially love the green chili sandwich it is so good ..make sure you get it with Sauteed onions and jalapenos.. The waitress is super super nice she's very playful and's just a wonderful lady.. pretty sure she's been working there for a long time. I love her

Best Place to get a Big Breakfast. The Employees were nice & welcoming. & I didn't wait long for my food to come out & it came out fresh. I Got Some Waffles & Biscuits with Some Eggs & Bacon.. Waffles were crispy outside fluffy inside Bacon was a little too crisp but savory. & The Biscuit were soft & doughy! Coffee was a little warm I wished it was hotter but very delicious all round .

Average food like IHOP and Norms that are very close to pop’s. The staff is nice and food comes out promptly. If your not there early expect to wait. It’s a local watering hole, lots of customers are known by name. That’s what make pops popular it’s a locals hang out.
