We had such a special experience in this place with our family. The garden, the staff and the general management of the property is sensational. One the most spectacular moment and garden we ever seen. We came for breakfast and it was also very nice. The greenhouse as well for more sandwich and other stuff. The shop, butchery and farming products for sale have wonderful look. Congratulations to all team!

We had a wonderful time. Ensure you have enough time to walk through the gardens. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. In the scent room you can make your own scrubs and masks or bath salts. Very nice interactive activity. Covid procedures are followed. We will definitely visit them again!

What an amazing experience we had whilst visiting this awesome wine farm with the most beautiful gardens. We enjoyed the various shopping experiences which included the wine museum, pop-up shop, soaps and fragrances, restaurant and many more. Ample parking underneath beautiful grape trees. Well worth a visit, and make sure you take the day as there are many many gardens to see.

Book your amazing 1 and a half hour garden tour at Babylonstoren. It's truly an unforgettable experience. So rich in history, so informative but best of all the breathtaking beautiful landscaped gardens that's something you must experience. These pics don't do justice to how beautiful these gardens are. You also get to taste the delicious fruit straight from the trees, and thereafter visit the farm store for delicious breads, fruit, nuts croissants etc. Just so beautiful.

Breakfast at the Babel restaurant is a real treat. We keep coming back for special occasions because although it is not cheap it is well worth the expense. Great seasonal food, more than enough to satisfy, in a beautiful place with excellent friendly service. Finished off with a stroll through the gardens. I can't think of a better way to start the day or to celebrate an occasion.

Always a good option if you want to walk through the gardens. I love stopping at the farm shop to get some of their fresh produce. Loads of spots to take great pictures and just enjoy the beautiful scenery!

Beautiful place with beautiful nature. We went for the olive oil and balsamic tasting. It was the best! Highly recommend. We saw them decanting the balsamic which is once a year!!! We tasted and made our own blend. We went to the greenhouse for lunch and it was also great. Ordered burger, fried potatoes and potato gnocchi. The wine was great too. We walked around the farm and had a blast tasting different berries and picking small things to try around. A must go place in your visit to cape town.

Can genuinely stay this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. It's absolutely stunning. The rooms are fully stocked daily with fresh fruit, wine, and some other surprises. The food throughout the property is farm to table and you can taste how fresh it is. I would definitely recommend that travelers staying at Babylonstoren dedicate one day to their onsite activities! We very much enjoyed the Olive Oil tour, Cellar tour, bread baking, garden walk, mountain drive, and more! Also, Italian night at the Bakery was spectacular!

Beautiful place with a stunning vineyard. They have an entry fee for a 12-month period, which is definitely worth paying. They sell their own wines, which are made from the fruits growing in their vineyard. Stunning restaurant and many other places to experience. It is definitely a place to visit.

Great spot for a wine experience. Went with a group of friends before a wedding and it was awesome. Beautiful views of the winery. Very quaint place with such a great atmosphere. Could spend the entire day there. Food is good and wine is better.

Wow is all I can say of this place. It is absolutely stunning and they truly have built one of the most gorgeous wineries in South Africa. The little shops with the best vegetables, fruites, meat's, cheeses, oils, balsamic, etc. it was truly amazing and created an unforgettable experience. If you have the opportunity to also book a massage and facial here you definitely must do it as it is phenomenal and you can take a dip in one of the most well kept and relaxing pools I have been in. Cant wait to visit when we come back to South Africa.

I came to visit the "farm" as highly recommended and the place is amazing, I was also recommended to try the restaurant but this was well below average, the 🍔 burget looked excellent but we asked for rear cooked and was well done, both of them. The place is a must as this is very relaxing, see many different gardens and water in, the ice-cream were very good and we had no time for wine test, so even the food was not OK the place deserves a second chance. I did not like that even for going to restaurant you need to pay 100 rands fee but...

We were there for day visit and it was a great experience. Walking through the vineyard and well manicured gardens. The beehives, the little spaces to view birdhouses, water works and the puff adder walkway were quite the works. Plenty of shade and misty sprays to keep you cool, plus the fruit on offer really helps. Every fruit, veggie, tree 🌲 is well labelled, it’s a learning experience while enjoying the outdoors.

Very busy during the festive season so make so to make reservations. The farm is huge with lots to see and buy and eat! Beautiful! We were lucky enough to find a seat without reservation and managed to do a wine tasting too! With two delicious platters! Very informative history and interesting interactions

My partner and I had the pleasure of visiting Babylonstoren on a beautiful sunny day in March 2023. It is a very special place that far surpassed our expectations. Babylonstoren is more than just wine and vineyards these days. It also encompasses stunning gardens, beautiful restaurants, a farm, an incredible farm shop, and so much more. One of the biggest highlights of Babylonstoren is the incredible gardens. They are stunning, and you can see the love and passion that has been put into them. There is a wide variety of plants and flowers from all over the world, all set in various gardens and styles. Highlights for me included the Fish Ponds, the Citrus Block, and the Indigenous Garden. We spent hours wandering around the site, and we didn’t even cover it all, it’s truly gigantic. We ventured into their on-site shops, which included fresh fruit and vegetables, a bakery, a meat counter, a dairy counter, and more. I could have spent so much money in there as it all looked incredible. Most of the products are produced on-site, even down to the cheeses. We had worked up an appetite for lunch and wine, so we visited the Wine Tasting room, and enjoyed a bottle of wine alongside the most amazing platter of local meats and cheeses. I have to give a shout-out to their olive oil, too, it truly was some of the best I’ve ever tasted (don’t tell Italy though!). We had a wonderful time at Babylonstoren. The gardens were absolutely beautiful, and the wine tasting and food were superlative.

This is my favorite wine farm. I have done a few events here and we recently visited on a private trip. There is just so much to do and see. The gardens are amazing, wine fantastic and the Greenhouse is a real treat.

We stayed at Babylonstoren for two nights and was not enough! There’s plenty of activities to do, like walking on the garden, biking on the vineyards, wine tasting on a cellar tour, etc etc! Additionally, the staff is amazing, always looking after us :) thanks for an amazing experience for our honeymoon ❤️

wow wow wow....could not fault this stunning hotel, having stayed at The Newt in Somerset a couple of times we could not wait to book in for our wedding anniversary, it did not dissappoint. The warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay from everyone and enthusiastic staff on all of the extra trips and tours made this a truly mememorable stay. We booked a wine cellar tour and tasting, garden collection tour, mountain trek and early morning water buffalo feeding visit. The attention to detail you cannot fault, at breakfast after the water buffalo tour you were brought a sample plate of everything they produce to try, handwritten cards and welcome basket of treats and perfectly designed and equipped rooms. We ate at Babel on the first night and it was excellent - great food options and their own wine. On the 2nd night we ate at the Bakery and it was amazing - the set menu was perfect, we ate so much fresh fruit and veg that we could only manage a couple of pizza slices. The staff were all very welcoming anf helpful, no matter where we bumped into them they were great - clearly well trained and happy to work at such a great place. Our room was on a courtyard that had its own private pool, spa, sauna, steam room etc - it was like being in your own mini resort and would be perfect for a large family or group of friends. We also borrowed the bikes to go and see the lake and surrounding hills. Over all it was excellent - pretty much faultless and we hope to be back soon.

The perfect location to fill your spiritual and emotional bucket. Perfect for families. They offer a yearly membership for a small fee(basically the price of two coffees). Pop on a pair of gumboots/wellies and the kids have hours of fun. Remember a pair of dry clothes because there is fun and mud to be had. Beautiful gardens, phenomenal food and space to breathe. Take a book and find a spot to read, indulge in the scent room and fill your tummy with a delicious lunch at the greenhouse.

Great farm to play dining here. The produce is fresh and matches with the feel of the place very nicely. Vegetarian friendly with lots of vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu. Meat eaters also won't be disappointed. Our pork cutlet from Glen Oaks farm was delicious, perfectly cooked if a bit too massive.

Not sure why it took so long to visit this stunning garden/farm. What a pleasure to roam this well planned and beautiful area. Wear good walking shoes, a sun hat for the summer sun, and charge your phone because around every corner is something magical you're sure to want to capture as a memory. Each growing season is unique so more than one visit is necessary! Great outing for kids...they'll be intrigued at every turn, and the circular water feature/fountain is great fun (even for the adults). And before you go home, explore the deli's and stores for fabulous gifts, cheeses, drinks, pastries, flowers, fresh organic produce, superb balsamic vinegar and so, so much more.

Such beautiful and varied gardens. The greenhouse and herb garden were so interesting and informative. A bit pricey overall but many lovely products and foods. Although the wine tasting was a affordably priced. The wine history room is fantastic. Attentive service all the way.

Shopped online and am so incredibly impressed with the quality of the produce. The blood oranges are delicious, and I was surprised by the beautiful edible flowers added to my delivery as a special gift for spring day. The service was outstanding too. Will definitely shop there again.

We came here for our final stop on the wine tram but could happily have spent much much longer here and have been recommending it as THE place to go to all our friends and family. We had the pleasure of Brent's knowledgeable guiding skills for our cellar tour. The wine tasting was spectacular, made all the better by the way the bites of food change the taste of the wine itself. He was full of knowledge and good humour and made the whole visit great by explaining so much of the process and care that goes in to the wines. We also enjoyed the farm shop and would have loved to stay for food too as this looked amazing.

Definitely one of the best wine estates in the area. After the the long drive from Cape Town city center, it was worth every minute!!! Since we had lunch already, we went to explore the garden and visit the wine cellar only. The day we went was the perfect weather for walking and exploring the absolute gorgeous garden. The many vegetables, fruits and flowers flourishing in the winter sun just made the day even brighter, but the fact that everything was so clean and organized was just impressive on a next level! There were animals both big and small roaming around the garden and though we did not go in, there were many little shops scattered around the estate. The Healing Garden just behind the bustling Greenhouse restaurant was one place to calm your energy and just daydream with the Koi fish in the pond or watch at the many small birds washing themselves in the little stream as they chirp and communicate with each other. The design was both simple and aesthetic, but also welcoming. Not to mention the magnificent Greenhouse and its pile of bright yellow lemons in the middle amongst the hanging plants and vegetables, the vibe and energy was a mix of relaxation, curiosity and pure excitement! We visited the wine cellar where you can purchase wine and we explored its history of wine, the exhibition of bottle openers, wine bottles and many more, it was fascinating and very detailed (you could see the effort and passion that went into the layout and display), all free of charge! Highly recommended for the whole family. Make time to enjoy the shops, restaurants and of course the wine cellar and its exhibition. Remember to bring hats, sunglasses, water and of course a camera or phone to record and take pictures. Babylonstoren is one place worth showing off to your family and friends, and so worth recalling the magnificent beauty of its garden and people. Take care:)

Wow. Incredible place. The gardens are stunning, there is so much thought that has been put into the design. All the team that work there are so welcoming. We stayed in the Fynbos Cottages which had amazing interior design. They have balanced style with comfort perfectly. It is such a peaceful place to be in. You can walk around the farm, boating lake, take a mountain drive, we attended a Butchery course which was really interesting. We didn't get to do everything in the 4 days we had, but we will be back again. It is the perfect sister hotel to The Newt 👌

Thoroughly enjoyed the day visiting Babylonstoren, this was a last minute decision so we couldn't book a guided tour, but the detailed map provided on entry was more than enough help (make sure you visit all the numbered items on the map, there are some hidden gems). The gardens are extremely well kept and the sites are amazing. Wine tasting and the platters were perfect .. the service impeccable and the Balsamic tasting also really good.. worth a trip

Perfect place to spend a day off ☺️ Large area to walk around. We did wine tasting here. It was not necessary to book it in advance. On the weekend it was quit busy, but we waited a free table just about 15-20 minutes. There is a nice museum of wine where where the waiting time has flown by. We also bought delicious cheese from the farm shop.

Without a doubt the most beautiful wine estate in the area. There is so much to do that you need more than one day to explore. Luckily we live in the area. The kids enjoyed the puff adder, the water spouting fountains and all the paths you can follow. We thoroughly enjoy everything, especially the food at the greenhouse and just how neat everything is. Even the parking is beautiful. I'm very excited to come back for my kids' workshop and browse around again.

Put at least 3 to 4 hours aside for this lovely wine estate. Lots of shopping, fragrance room, deli, sweet shop and an incredible butchery! This farm has accommodation, beautiful gardens that service all the restaurants. Babel was exceptional! The Greenhouse also serves really gourmet food! Wine tasting is great, always order a platter! Spend time walking around the gardens! As there are so many special spaces! Bring your camera!

What a superb location for a small bridal shower of 16 guests, The Spice Room at Babylonstoren. It was quite pricey (ended up spending R10k) but it was so worth it for this lovely venue, tasty food and wine and great service. The wine and water never stopped flowing, the waiters were fantastic! Well done Babylonstoren, it was the most perfect day.

The gardens are extremely well kept and the sites are amazing. We had lunch at the Greenhouse restaurant which was around a 20 min wait in peak season which was great, the menu is not extensive but if you want the full on restaurant experience there is the more renowned Babel open from Wed to Sun.
