First,
let
me
say
that
Dr.
Fredman
at
LP
FH
is
by
far
the
best
PCP
I've
ever
seen.
He
is
compassionate,
engaged,
informed,
and
takes
the
time
to
stop
and
check
information
he
isn't
sure
of.
I
couldn't
ask
for
a
better
doctor.
However,
the
rest
of
this
practice
is
wildly
disorganized
and
unprofessional.
I
saw
another
doctor
here
for
several
years,
and
despite
being
kind
and
friendly,
he
simply
didn't
take
my
problems
seriously.
If
I
already
knew
exactly
what
was
wrong
and
what
I
needed,
I
could
get
his
help.
Otherwise,
he
would
seem
very
concerned
and
then
send
me
home
to
just
wait
it
out
a
while
longer,
again
and
again
while
I
was
struggling
with
chronic
problems
that
severely
impacted
my
functioning.
This
is
inexcusable.
Furthermore,
the
front
desk,
while
kind
and
friendly,
are
completely
disorganized.
I
have
asked
for
years
to
receive
bills
in
the
mail.
I've
confirmed
again
and
again
that
my
correct
address
is
on
file.
Yet
in
five
years,
I
have
not
received
a
single
bill.
If
I
call
to
cancel
an
appointment,
I
always
call
again
later
to
check
because
it
is
almost
never
canceled
the
first
time.
I
learned
this
the
hard
way
when,
despite
never
receiving
bills,
I
received
a
letter
warning
me
that
if
I
missed
another
appointment,
I
might
be
banned
from
the
practice.
I
did
not,
in
fact,
miss
an
appointment.
I
had
canceled
it
well
in
advance.
There
has
also
been
a
frequent
problem
with
someone
telling
me
one
time/date
for
my
appointment
but
writing
down
a
different
one.
The
on-call
doctor
on
the
weekend
is
wildly
unhelpful,
doesn't
listen,
and
offers
advice
and
chastisement
about
things
he
has
inadequate
medical
knowledge
of.
I
have
been
having
recurring
seizures
and
needed
advice
over
the
weekend
on
whether
it
would
be
okay
to
start
taking
an
anti-epileptic
medication
I
had
been
prescribed
or
if
I
should
finish
waiting
for
my
anti-depressant
to
fully
clear
my
system
first.
This
was
urgent
but
not
an
emergency,
and
I
explained
that
while
I'd
really
like
to
get
a
message
from
my
doctor,
if
I
couldn't,
I'd
be
okay
and
call
on
Monday
instead.
Instead
of
just
letting
me
know
he
wasn't
available,
I
got
a
call
from
the
on-call
doctor
who
told
me
he
didn't
know
why
I
thought
I
had
epilepsy,
I
shouldn't
be
asking
for
anti-convulsants
and
I
should
go
directly
to
the
ER
and
also
see
a
neurologist.
I
was
tremendously
frustrated--I
never
said
I
have
epilepsy;
I've
already
been
to
the
ER
and
they
can't
help
and
I
wasn't
having
an
emergency;
I
never
said
I
have
epilepsy
and
I'm
trying
to
see
a
neurologist
but
there's
a
months-long
wait.
I
wanted
advice
about
a
prescription
my
PCP
has
already
given
me,
and
I
said
upfront
it
was
okay
if
I
needed
to
just
wait
to
speak
to
him
on
a
weekday.
Furthermore,
the
on-call
doctor
told
me,
rather
irritably,
that
"Light
can't
cause
seizures."
Uh,
okay.
That's
completely
incorrect.
If
I
had
not
already
done
significant
research
on
my
own
health,
such
flagrantly
false
information
delivered
in
an
angry
way
could
have
made
me
feel
I
was
doing
something
wrong
by
trying
to
get
help
with
the
way
my
body
is
actually
malfunctioning.

needs
to
seriously
review
the
sloppiness,
inattention,
and
disregard
to
lack
of
knowledge
that
many
of
its
medical
staff
have
and
also
overhaul
the
way
the
front
desk
is
running.
Patients
deserve
reliable
communication
and
medical
care.
Edited
to
add:
This
is
not
an
issue
that
has
solely
existed
since
Covid.
It
has
been
a
problem
the
entire
5
years
I've
been
at
this
clinic.
I'm
glad
to
hear
LP
is
working
on
it,
and
I
did
notice
just
this
week
that
a
new
person
at
the
front
desk
seems
very
organized
and
proactive.
Hopefully
this
leads
to
long-term
improvement.
