What
a
sweet
little
castle!
The
ruin
is
actually
in
great
shape,
almost
as
though
it
has
been
restored
(it
was
an
impromptu
visit
for
us
and
we
didn’t
have
time
to
do
much
research.
You
literally
can
pull
up
to
the
parking
lot
at
the
castle
(or
park
next
to
the
very
nearby
playground
and
walk
a
few
extra
steps),
and
walk
in
through
the
entrance.
You
can
either
go
towards
the
restaurant
or
make
a
left
or
right
and
walk
through
the
outer
grounds
of
the
castle
through
gardens
and
a
rabbit
keep
(which
was
the
highlight
of
my
kids
day).
The
gardens
are
quaint
and
charming
and
actually
maintained,
if
they’re
a
bit
overgrown.
In
the
center
of
the
castle
there
is
a
small
tower
you
can
climb
with
a
coin
“donation”
box.
The
staircase
up
was
VERY
dark
at
one
point
(we
had
to
use
our
phone
flashlights
just
to
see
the
steps
at
all;
there
were
lights
but
they
weren’t
all
working).
There
was
also
a
restaurant
that
was
closed
when
we
were
there
but
the
seating
was
welcoming
and
within
the
walls
of
the
castle,
which
I
always
love.
It
took
us
less
than
an
hour
to
explore
everything
at
a
slow
pace,
easily
done
with
my
3
kids
ages
5,3,1.5
years.
Definitely
check
out
the
playground
right
down
the
road
if
you
have
kids!
